First and foremost, your room will have bugs. Of the very small and very plentiful variety. Various ants(small and black to very large and red) to beetles to gnats and flies, all inside your room. There will be dead gnats all over anything that gets wet (the plastic cups in the bathroom, the sink, the tub, the puddle underneath your tiny AC unit.). The beetles crawl all over your curtains and were seen in the bed. The ants are just all sporadically placed around inside the room, and dominate the outside. Secondly, location. This is located on the top of Saipan's mountain ridge, on a dirt road littered with potholes. 20 minutes minimum for a cab to get there, supposing they will even go there and they don't get stuck on the way, and it's at least a $20 ride to Garapan, $40 to Kilili beach. Thirdly, amentities. The "queen" bed is actually two twins pushed together, stiff as a board and comes with resident bugs. There is no TV in the room. The "iPod dock" is only for iPhone 4 and earlier, mine wouldn't read CDs, and the radio doesn't go above 90.0. The Wifi is weak to dead throughout the room, doesn't extend into the bathroom, and only worked somewhat decently in the farthest corner away from the bed. Your bathrobe and slippers are in a trash bag in the closet. The shower is a large shower with a small, weak movable head that ranges from dribblingly weak and ice cold to spurting and gushing with the strength of a firehose and skin-burningly hot, on its own. The bathtub is a small clawfoot tub that they set inside the shower. You can move it around as you please, because it is not bolted down. It drains into the shower drain via hose. The slightly lower priced room that my friends were staying in had the same issues, except no wifi throughout most of the room, missing light bulbs, and more bugs. But their room came with two complimentary cans of Raid. Don't believe me? Try it for yourself!
Great view, friendly staff.
