Its super close to the bus stop that can take you everywhere you need and also a supermarket. And also you can do the check in until really late.

Close to local amenities, supermarket is a few doors away. Safe location. Very close to ferry ports and bus terminal, well connected. Lovely local people. Great price. Having a kitchenette and fridge was really handy and kept my costs down further.

Very uncomfortable beds, I hardly slept. The walls are also paper thin. Having to log in to the wifi repeatedly due to time out limit was annoying. The water tank has a limited supply of hot water, I wasn't told this until I asked why the water had gone cold during my shower. Luckily - the weather was warm so I didn't mind too much. The water limit would probably be very frustrating in winter.

the owner is really kind, and the price is good. The hotel is situated in a really good place close to the center and close to the beach.

They didn't specify the breakfast was to be paid extra, so we were a bit surprised on the last day. Wifi costs 5 euro extra. Room is quite characterless.

Location of the hotel - close to sea promenade

Bedclothes: bedsheets were old with several spots on them. Toilet wasn`t working properly,it wasn`t possible to flush water (!) Dark room with a window facing a blank wall

Excellent location in the heart of Sliema, at a very, very reasonable price. Save on accommodation costs and spend your money elsewhere.

Just a bit basic, but clean. However you can't beat the value for money if you are prepared to accept that.

Sliema is a good location for exploring Malta with Valetta only a short ferry ride away and bus stops just 100 metres down the road going directly, or with connections,to all parts of the island. The Alborada is a basic but clean apart-hotel at a very reasonable price. The studio rooms mean you can cook for yourselves if you want to. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There is no personal in the receprion all the time

Cosy hotel in the silent place with friendly staff. Several supermarkets are located near the hotel. Good location to Sliema Ferries and bus stops to airport, Gozo, Golden Bay, etc.

Before arrival I sent a letter to hotel with request to book a room for us not on the 4-th floor due to reviews on this website. But when we arrived to the hotel we're given a room on the 4-th floor and there is a problem with water pressure in wc.

Very friendly staff. Breakfast well worth the money. Although our booking had been mislaid we were dealt with very quickly. Room came with a fully equipped kitchen area although some of the equipment in the room was a bit old. It all worked.

Awkward to find as it is in a pedestrian area, although the map gives directions by road, and one of the roads used to show the route is actually closed off.

The insulation of the windows was insufficient, we could hear all the noise (construction in the negihbourhood) as if there were no windows at all

Very good value. For one euro a day you get excellent in room wifi - better wifi than more expensive hotels I stayed in - and the room is spacious. There's no balcony, no luxury, but it is very close to the sea and very good value.

The Hotel was ideally located near buses, Valletta ferry and tourist ferries. The staff were very friendly and helpful particularly the Owner / Manager. We were fortunate in having a sea view and enjoyed watching the traffic in and out of harbour. ( Not all rooms have this view) We thought that it was very good value for money

Great value accommodation in central Sliema I look firstly for a safe, clean room when I travel. I got that and lots more at the Alborada Apart Hotel. I got a large, clean, secure room with fridge, microwave, kettle, breakfast table, bedside cabinet, two single beds, wardrobe and separate desk for my laptop. The bathroom was somewhat basic, handheld shower over the bath but quite functional and clean! ‘Keys’ are credit card type swipe cards that open your door. There was a café style restaurant downstairs where breakfast was served. I didn’t use it myself but like the rest of the hotel it looked spotlessly clean. Wi-Fi was a cheap add-on ( 5 euros a week ). My only grumble with it was I had to log onto their system every 40 minutes or so. The sea is literally 100 yards away straight out of the front door and keep going. If you turn right out of the front door past the tower supermarket, tourist ticket shop, post box and then right again you are on the main Sliema drag where all the boats and busses go from. Possibly 400 yards from the hotel no more. There is a health food shop opposite, Supermarket 100 yards down the road, a tourist ticket shop for all your excursion needs just after that, a post box opposite the ticket shop. In the road parallel to the one the hotel is on there is an internet café should you need to make a phone call or not have a computer with you. On my last morning the transfer company SMS / A2B was 45 minutes late and neither I nor Lany ( the hotel owner ) could get a reply from their ‘emergency number’. Lany then told me not to worry as if they didn’t turn up he would take me to the airport! Now that is some customer service. Luckily they did eventually turn up.

The location is perfect! Very close to the beach and seaside (5 min walking), nearby is a great local restaurant (check out their mashroom soup from local mashrooms), which was open only for lunch time from 12 to 14 and from 18 to 22, also a supermarket tower, sliema ferry. The bed in the room was good, not soft. The owner was very nice, he allowed us a very early check-in and late check-out without any problems and no additional payments! Equipment in the little kitchen worked good.

No air-conditioning, only 1 old fan. We stayed in the beg of October so it was not very hot but still not comfortable at night with only just fan cooling air in the room. Can not imagine how horrible it is in the middle of summer.. The curtain in the shower was very short so there was always a little swimming pool on the floor. Disgusting. Do not know why the owner can not buy a good shower curtain, it doesnt cost much. No hangers in the bathroom!! No place to dry clothes, like a swimming suite or towel. Very uncomfortable. Poor breakfast, only cheese, ham (not tasty!), and egg, bread, cerial, milk, coffee, juice. For 2 weeks we stayed - the same menu :(

The value for money is good: the room was spacious and clean, even though it had nothing more than bed, towel and bathroom. The staff were very kind.

The building is quite old, you have to adapt to not having any facilities and comforts. It's a bit rough overall.

My room was to warm. There is no breeze going through even with the fan. Would of been cooler sleeping on the roof.

It's in a central position close to the sea, but a little bit behind the main street, hence very quiet
