Alfonso Hotel  

The staff are really friendly and made us feel comfortable.

We would have preferred if the check-out was at a later time. The tv only offered one station. Also regarding the wi-fi.

The location was great, and the staff very friendly. We had a top floor balcony with a great view on the city and Spinola Bay.

It was so cold the first night I slept in my jacket, as the heater would only work for short periods then turn off. The lightbulbs were a harsh, institutional white light, which really detracted from the comfort of hanging out in the room, and the whole room had a bit of a 70s mental hospital feel to it. The beds werent great, and as we were a couple we requested a double bed but received two singles which left a gap in the middle when pushed toghether and separated easily. Bathroom was not especially clean.

Posizione ottima, in piena Paceville, reception 24/24h, ottimi i campioncini di bagnoschiuma! personale molto gentile, letto comodo, d'estate il caldo dev'essere atroce però, a giudicare dall'enorme ventilatore posizionato proprio davanti al letto.

Colazione sufficiente, internet non funzionava bene (e comunque era utilizzabile solo dal pc fisso della hall), il bagno era un po' vecchiotto ma accettabile. niente miscelatore al lavandino

Het hotel ligt vlak bij een belangrijke busstop wat het in principe een goede uitvalbasis voor de rest van Malta zou maken. (Voor diegene die minder waarde hechten aan comfort)

We hadden een 'Superior' kamer gereserveerd, op basis van ervaringen van enkele beoordelingen van dit hotel, maar belandde 'per ongeluk' in een 'normale' kamer. Dit werd wel snel hersteld maar de kamer werd na correctie niet ingrijpend beter. Zeer gedateerde en achterstallige inrichting van een ondermaats niveau. Wij zijn niet zeer gesteld op luxe (daar was de prijs ook naar) maar er zijn grenzen aan wat je mag verwachten van een hotel kamer. Dit is nauwelijks een hotel te noemen. Het ontbijd hebben wij na twee pogingen gelaten voor wat het was. Het kwam niet verder als een kommetje cornflakes met niet te veel melk, warmwater voor thee of oplos koffie/choko en brood nog in de zak verpakt te beleggen met idem handzaam verpakt broodbeleg, kortom een echt feest maal. In de straten van Malta kun je gelukkig overal oven verse 'pies' die het gemis aan ontbijd snel doen vergeten.
