Bayview Hotel & Apartments  

Nice view on top of Bayview hotel over Sliema and Valletta and the bay area. Walking distance to many shops/cafe/restaurants and 5 min boat to Valletta center. The apartments up the hills (room 7905) are brand new (aug. 2011) and very nice and relatively quiet at night (opposite on The Strand). Bayview have many anexes in the city area, and they will not tell the adresses of them via mail. Only the hotel and some anexes 5 min walking.

No seaview (as sold) in room 7905. No free WiFi (only at McDonalds and a few others down the street). The noice from neighbour chairs moving, dogs, hens, cats etc. early in the mornings. But then again, it's city center and you can use earplugs.

We stayed in the apartment that was in the Annex of the hotel. The apartment was great and comfortable, and contained all what stated. The staff was very professional and helping. What we enjoyed the most was the morning coffee in the sea view living room - so relaxing. The location was great as well - bus station right next to the hotel. I warmly recommend the hotel.

Apartments building is a heavy walk if you are pulling your luggage.

The location is very good and with a seaside view from the balcony it is extremely good. I was impressed by the variety of promenade alternatives. We spent 2 weeks walking around to see new things. You can easily walk to Valetta 1 hr +, Marsa (Race track) 1 hr, Julians Bay 45 min. Bus tours and harbour cruize is also nice, but harbours are more interesting from the promenade. We stayed in a studio close the hotel and did not use the hotel very much beside the sunroof and pool. The studio was better then our expectaions, but the noice from the staircase irritated a lot to begin with, but we resolved that by squeesing a paper in betbeen. For a semi-selfservice vacation we can recommend the place. G & L (Sweden)

Location was excellent, price was very reasonable & staff were very capable. Would gladly recommend the Bayview Hotel.

We were upgraded from 2-rooms apartment to 3-rooms apartment with no extra cost. The apartment is a penthouse, two bathrooms and big terrace (> 30 m2) with magnificient view on the bay. Quiet at night. The apartment is located 30 meters from the hotel, bus station is in front of the hotel, direct bus to the airport.

On the negative side, we asked for a blanket and it took them several hours to deliver it. Also the heat in the room did not work. Shortly after we went to bed, a couple hours after we had told them, they send up a small electric heater. That worked well. Finally, the bottom sheet was to small and did not cover the mattress. On the plus side the price was good, the view was great and they had a cab for us the next morning at the time we had requested.

I´ve loved to stay there. Wonderful location, price, quality... I would definitely stay there again.

Great price and great location, staff were always there and helpful with any questions we had.

The room we had was cramped and small, one light did not work and the top sheet on the bed was not fitted and did not fit so kept coming off. The bed covers were old and dirty.
