Generally convenient location if you are reasonably fit like me, otherwise difficult for people with mobility problems. Fantastic view over Grand Harbour from the Restaurant and Bar. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very nice fish soup. The sheets and towels were a bit shabby - one of the towels was ripped. I agree with the sample review - tea and coffee making facilities in the room would be nice and the occasional British breakfast. Yoghurt and fresh fruit for breakfast would also be very nice.

traveled from gozo and stayed in hotel to view the fireworks on 30th april. location is perfect for this overlooking grand harbour. more attention should be given to breakfast. while this was continental provision should, at the very least, be made for clientele to make toast.

location and harbour view it's verging on retro-chic!! a sense of fading respectability: it needs a decent investment to improve it.

The location was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. I thought the breakfast was adequate even though the labels of the juices were mixed up. I liked the coffee, but would liked to know that you can ask for toast. We were left to find our room which was a bit of an adventure. Also, when the wind blows it is very noisy, as it blows through the unsealed windows.

I arrived after midnight, but the concierge unlocked the door quickly and was polite and helpful. The room was clean if plain. The shower was hot. The breakfast was good and the view from the breakfast room in the early morning is wonderful. My room was very plain and needing some redecoration but as I was only there one night it did not unduly concern me. I later learned that other travelers on my trip had stayed at other hotels of similar standard for less than the 50 euro that I paid

Ideally located for central Valletta and the bus station. Perfect if you are there to explore the island. Very basic. Ideal as somewhere to crash, but if you after luxury and somewhere to spend a significant part of your stay you would be better looking elsewhere.

Lovely location and a good view from my bedroom. However, the beds were incredibly hard!! Otherwise, it was good, simple, accommodation and nice to have en-suite.

Comfortable, clean and great location. Maltese traditional breakfast was great, however a variety would have been nice.

staff very friendly and helpful - david, chris, george etc. Location stunning overlooking grand harbour. breakfast a very relaxing affair. Swimming area very conveniently located. Valetta fascinating town for walkers, discoverers. I'd have liked if drinking water was made available to take up to room at night.

large room but hotel very tired furnishings. Some towels threadbare and fraying. MOst staff very unfriendly and grumpy but one waiter friendly. Location exellent but you must be fit with many stairs to climb to Even if the could change the city centre. Our room had view over the old harbour and this made up for the short comings of the hotel. Breakfast was adequate but basic and after 5 days of the same things we were ready for a change. Mabye a change of cereal, or meats and the tinned furit was always the same. How hard would it be to open a different can!

It is not a luxurious hotel but the atmosphere (a little decadent) is very captivating. The location is unbeatable with windows and balconies over the Great Harbor. The food is also to recommend especially the typical rabbit.
