we liked breakfast and the view from the balcony. size of room was very good.

didnt like the fact that minibar was empty and the tv was a bit outdated.

I must admit that the cleanness of the hotel was very good.

The night staff at the reception desk was irritating. The gentleman on duty did not even raise his head to acknowledge somebody passing in front of him let alone saying 'good evening' or 'good night'.

I liked The room in general as it was well sized. Breakfast was good as well.

There is no extra pillows in wardrobe. According to room service leaflet, in room service had a charge of €1.50, yet at reception we were charged €2. also on my booking requested that we have a late check out. When I asked at reception, was informed that my room was booked straight after and thus could not keep it. I am sure that room was not full, so since they had my request at time of booking, I am sure they could have accomodated my request if they wanted to.

We booked a double bed but had two beds beside each other

Good facilities and tasty food. Comfortable and spotlessly clean room/general areas. Helpful early-morning breakfast at reception as we had to leave for a ferry before the dining room opened. The dining room staff were cheerful and helpful and there was a good value evening meal deal for guests. The peaceful location and views from the hotel are truly lovely .

Staff were not very friendly or helpful on the phone at reception, although were 'clinically courteous' on meeting in person. They also failed to make a booked wake-up call to our room on the day we left. The metal curtain tiebacks and bottle opener were broken in our room - just small things which tarnish the overall good standard of the hotel. I left a mobile phone accessory in the bedroom and am having no luck in tracking it down. I initially called within 10 mins of leaving the hotel and was asked to phone back as the maids had not been in yet (a 5 min visit to the room would have confirmed if it was there). I have since rung back three times and have been told my call will be returned - but nothing has happened for 48 hours.

The Location of the hotel is excellent, the staff are nice...and for such a hotel, its not that expensive.

The wireless internet can be better.

My bf and I went for a quick weekend break - beautiful location, restaurants and bars all around the hotel which is along the seafront, an absolutely beautiful bay especially in winter when the sea is rough!

Apparantly because we booked through booking.com we were asked to pay the full price on check-in (was the first time ever that we were asked to do this) and it was not mentioned anywhere

The quality of food in the restaurant,do not take rooms on the side bacause you will have,in the season,the others buildings just in front so no privacy in the room.

The view from the room was excellent, frinedly staff and value for money. Sice our was a work related trip we really appreciated the fact that we had free internet access witihn all of the hotel premises.

The fact that when I booked I had the option to choose my bed preference, I opted for queen bed however when we accessed the room we found 2 separate beds.

Staff extremely helpful, especially Stefan who went out of his way to assist us. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Calypso Hotel is nice relax . The place is beautiful. Good food and if you want to go have launch or dinner out there are many restaurant but there is One is perfect ,good, EXCELLENT the new of the Restaurant is IL-LATINI . ))

General standard of the room incl. cleanliness and decoration. Correct handling of checking in checking out. Correct handling of room service calls and delivery to room. Correct staff at breakfast. Value for money given the standard of the hotel in general.

Only one thing: the man at reception on Saturday 17th November in between 8.00 pm and 10.00 pm. Not friendly at all when asked for a box of matches. Not greeting on our way back into the hotel. Not a good impression (unlike everyone else we dealt with at the hotel).
