Canifor Hotel  

I don’t see any reason in paying up to ten times as much for staying in a hotel that is 200 meters closer to the same not so much clean beaches that we were tanning our hides at, so Canifor Hotel was quite a good value for the money. It’s the same standard package of furniture, tv, ac, balcony, refrigerator, conveniences sufficient enough to accommodate you after a day out at the sea, on a sightseeing bus, at a boat trip, shopping, whatever. The breakfast at the buffet restaurant was fairly monotonous but edible enough to sustain you till midday or later. The pool-o-centric British folks seemed quite content with the pool and all, as long as there was beer close at hand, a book to read and they didn’t have to move much. We took no liking to the pool but chose the sea instead, the first encounter with which was devastating by the way: lots of waste scattered around the thorny grass and not any less thorny brush in the adjacent to the shore area, strong urine smell, jagged almost impossible to pass through shoreline. But it turned out we had taken the wrong turn and got to the wrong part of the sea, which happened to be a great deal nicer just a couple hundred meters further away. On Malta it’s not so much a hotel as the schedule of your activities while on the island that makes or breaks your holiday and the Canifor Hotel is decent enough a place to shelter you for the night.

The room we were given at first had no properly operating tv and had a leaking toilet tank. The second room that the receptionist was kind to offer us had a tv that worked but the number of channels it had was thrice as less as was promised by the leaflet. To get the remote we were ridiculously supposed to pay a deposit of five euros, which we didn’t, having to make do without the remote and having mostly no need for tv at all. A little while later we found out the flushing system of the toilet was very reluctant to flush and the ac fan of the centralized ac system made a lot more nose that is usually expected of those. The toilet was fixed, the fan wasn’T.

Personalen I receptionen var mer än tillmötesgående, hjälpte oss att byta till lägenhet med luftkonditionering. Personalen I övrigt bra.

Air conditionen på hotell rummet gick bara på bestämda tider. Dock inte på natten när den bäst behövdes.Det stod I bokningen att strandservice ingick men 2 sängar och 1 parasoll per rumoch bokning, men detta var icke sant! Vid förfrågan om detta stod hotelpersonalen frågande.

Dispones wifi gratuito en la recepción y en algunas habitaciones cercanas a la recepción.

El que haya autobuses nocturnos entre semana se hace costoso salir por otras ciudades por la noche y regresar al hotel pasadas las 23 00 horas.

Posizione buona per girare l'isola, soprattutto per raggiungere le spiaggie più conosciute.

Pulizia della camera e della biancheria insoddisfacente. Lenzuola e asciugamani sempre sporchi. Stoviglie della colazione sporche.

La rapidez del servicio de mantenimiento en las averías y la limpieza de la habitación.

La total falta de amabilidad del personal tanto de recepción como del desayuno. En el check in ni me miraron a la cara ni cruzó una sola palabra salvo para pedir la tarjeta de crédito. Necesita una reforma urgente. Sufrimos dos desprendimientos de parte del techo de la habitación, un atasco del wc e inundación por el servicio de aire acondicionado. El desayuno dejó mucho que desear por su calidad. Instalaciones antiguas. Más bien es un dos estrellas.

Ubicación al lado de la estación de autobuses. Zona turística. Relación calidad precio bastante buena.

En el buffet de desayuno no había muchas opciones para elegir.
