Score from 845 reviews Good
Friendly staff..great location...excellent value for money. would recommend anyone who like to stay close to all amenities.
lift was so small and narrow..doesn't accommodate more than 2-3 persons.
Good hotel for the price
Staff, view of the bay
Shower pressure was a trickle unless u were happy with cold only - un-useable in winter. Street in front noisy.
Great location, Great price, all the essentials without any added fluff. The staff are helpful and friendly. Would recommend if looking to upgrade from a hostel but don't want to pay the price of a luxury hotel.
Friendly staff good Breakfast clean rooms.
The location is excellent with regular bus service to/from airport/Valletta/Mdina. Good restaurants right on the promenade across from the hotel, especially Fresco's is worth a visit. Remember to get the 7 day bus pass for 6,50 euros (single ride is 1,50). Great views of the bay. Spacious, clean bathroom.
The hotel is on the older side but hard to beat for the money.
Location, room, staff, wifi all good.
Absolutely nothing for the price.
A big thank you to Gabriel at reception. He could not have been more helpful. His knowledge of Malta and his enthusiasm for its history made the stay particularly memorable.
Location, sea view (if you have a suitable room), staff was kind and that is all.
Dont be fooled by booking rating. We were always travelling in hotels with good booking rating but this is nowhere near 7.9. -Rooms are not clean enough -Bed covers smell bad -Some bathrooms dont have a shower tub so you stand on a bathroom floor -Generally, rooms look below average only because they are not investing in them. -Air conditioning is working 15min and then not for 2 hours -Balcony doors dont close well All in all I expected a lot more
Everything you could wish for in a budget priced hotel. My second visit in a few months and I intend to return again.
I don't believe there was anything I liked. Although the location was good, it's a misconception, as the noise and disturbance was unbearable.
Single beds only children are able to fit in, lumpy mattress & pillow. January ... only 1 blanket on the bed, asked for quilt but didn't get it. A/C heating controlled by hotel and works for only 2hrs maximum! No carpeting or rugs ... every footstep is heard, corridors noisy. No double glazing so traffic all day & night one big nightmare. Cleaner moving furniture in other rooms woke us up early. Revellers in other rooms like they're in your room. Of course you pay peanuts you get monkeys! This is not a 3 star hotel but a hostel. Never again!!! Couldn't wait to leave. Should be crushed to the ground & rebuilt!
Got a free upgrade to sea view. Very good location, friendly staff and very cheap accomodation. Breakfast was ok.
The bed was uncomfortable and the aircon was sporadic. You get what you pay for, it's a good hotel when on a budget.
Bus stops for both directions directly outside hotel to take you to Sliema Ferry, Sliema centre, as well as St. Julian's and Valletta Airport. Lovely view overlooking Med sea from my top-floor room. Day-time front desk male was very friendly. Quiet area.
Sink in room didn't empty properly and water in it was always yellow/brown.
Localisation and balcony view was great
pretty old and demage hotel, it's not 3 stars but much lower. I didnt feel that my sheets are clean. Also very bad chemical smell after "cleaning" the floors during the day at room.

Helpful staff. Reliable wifi. Decent facilities and good-sized bedrooms. Bus stops outside the hotel
Bedbugs that bit me! Not surprising considering that the blanket smelt horrible! I couldn't ascertain if they were bed bug bites or some other insects, but by the morning I checked out the number of bites on my body were enough to justify an infestation! The hotel (although at Sliema) is actually quite far from Valletta (the main hub of Malta!) and if you're travelling by bus be prepared to spend at least 30 minutes going to the city!
The bus stop in front of the hotel. Hotel is located right on the promenade by the sea. Nice and clean.
Due to its location it is noisy , but you can't have everything. Helpful in this case are earplugs.
The manager was really cool and helped us in everything we needed. We didn't have any negative experience (with anything). I would totally recommend this hotel :)
I thought the staff at Reception were wonderful - really friendly, welcoming and helpful. On arrival, we were met by Gabriel and he really couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. All the reception staff had a ready smile and a very good knowledge of the island, which they were very happy to share with us. The staff servicing the rooms were also very cheerful and cleaned the rooms and the general areas to a very high standard indeed. It was great value for money and a great location!
There was absolutely nothing that I did not like. The only matter I might raise, is that it may add to the comfort of the hotel to have tea and coffee-making facilities in the rooms - but there are vending machines in the hotel and cafes all around, so it is just a tiny grumble!!
The location was beyond excellent with a grocer right up the street and ample restaurants and ATMs nearby.
The wifi was up & down with some frequency and sometimes quite slow. While unimportant to some, this is very important to me and in fact a key hotel selection criterion.
Very polite and helpful staff, excellent hotel location, right to the bus stop, very beautiful view to the sea. Will visit again!
There's nothing we didn't like.
* wifi speed and stability are great * the sea view from the room is very nice (4th floor) * the staff was always very nice and helpful *the air conditioning worked quite well, i managed to heat the room with it on a particularly cold day * the bed was comfy and clean, they changed towels every day * soap, shampoo etc. are provided * the blow-dryer in the room is actually a proper blow-dryer, I could style my very coarse hair almost as I do at home with my semi-pro blow-dryer, and that is a lot to say :P * you can also have a room safe for a deposit of 10 EUR, which you get back once you leave, and you can actually fit stuff in this safe (a 10 inches netbook fits, a 13 inches one would be too much) * bus stop right in front of the hotel (direct buses to the airport, to Valletta and to ferries to both Gozo and Valletta) I definitely would recommend this hotel to whoever wants to have a nice and cheap place to stay when doing sightseeing on Malta. Bring your own flip-flops and an adapter for electricity (we had issues with the one they gave us, it was perfect for our mini-kettle, but not quite OK for the phone and laptop chargers) It´s not the best place for a beach holiday in my opinion, though - the rooms are just too small, you wouldn´t be able to dry your towels properly, for example. PS with some hidden advertisement: we never had breakfast in the hotel, but always had our morning coffee in Dolci Peccati, an amazing sicilian bar-bakery just 50 meters to the left from the hotel entrance. I still miss their pastries and they also have GREAT italian coffee. They are open till 1 am and also have a fair selection of ice-creams. Avoid the brioche for the ice-cream, it´s not freshly baked, but all the other stuff they have is HEAVENLY. The girls working there are really nice (if treated as human beings and not worthless servants). Don´t miss this place!
* the shower curtain was hideous, we just never used it * i suspect the cleaning lady has skipped cleaning the floors - it was not a big deal considering that we only stayed 4 nights and she always did a great job in the bathroom (apart of the shower curtain) * the balcony door had some issues and needed a nice kick once in a while to stop it from letting some wind in and making a funny noise - not a huge problem though, a kick really helped Less than 30 EUR a night for two people is more than fair for this place though.
very nice staff, location perfect (1 min. from bus stop, mini market, restaurant), very beautiful view from the seaside room, every day cleaning and new towels (if you want), breakfast was enough (eggs, sausage, ham, cheese, tomato, cucumber, jam, nutella, breds and sweet cakes, tea, coffee, juices), air condition
bed was little bit old( you can feel the springs inside), bed-sheet and towels were stained and sometimes smell not good, you can hear at night(!!) the water runoff in the wall from the upper rooms, just 2 plugs in the room
Size of room big bathroom very clean very friendly helpful staff well located
Very loud traffic very busy day and night hard to sleep even with ear plugs!small reception small lift no bar small pool
