Quite a few people have commented on the location being not so good, but actually if you've got a hire car, it's a good base for visiting the rest of Malta as it's fairly central. Don't expect any signs to point you to the hotel though when you are trying to find it by car. There's a couple of local places to eat other than in the hotel restaurants - the Melita restaurant is just over the road (similar price to the hotel's pizza/pasta restaurant, but more choice and nicer food), and a few minutes walk further away is a small wine bar/cafe that does light meals (ask the hotel for the local map, and it's just behind the church marked number 7 at Batzan). San Anton gardens opposite the hotel are nice, and free. Overall, an enjoyable stay. Nothing major wrong, just a few minor things... The tariff from booking.com included free minibar, but we had to remind the staff 4 times to take the minibar items off our bill. They were apologetic, and fixed the errors promptly and courteously though. WiFi is 3 Euro per hour; you can find plenty of cafes/restaurants where it's free. The barbecue wasn't great given the cost. |

The hotel room was very clean and luxurious as were the public areas. The location was not great, however, we did appreciate the shuttle into Valletta. My only comment would be to have the shuttle pick people up in Valletta a little later. Being picked up at 4:15 pm was too early for us. |

If you like style and elegence this hotel has it in abundance. From the art deco main dining room to the general feel of the hotel. The Oriental reataurant surpassed itself with the quality and value of the food it served. The location of the pasta /pizza restaurant in the garden area is superb. The pool area is beautifully layed out and has all the facilities expected. The only minor point was the location of the hotel in the diplomatic area. There is only one restaurant and bar in the near vacinity for optional dining. However the hotel does run a courtesy bus into the capital. Taxis are expensive although car hire is reasonably cheap. |

The friendly personnel, nice food, beautiful garden, clean hotel, very suitable for the conference I attended. My room didn't smell too good when I arrived. And I'm not too fond of dress codes. |

Well located for ease of access to main points of interest. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. No car parking in hotel although valet parking is free. Mattress quality is low. Elevator is small and needs refurbishing. |
