- great pools - good breakfast - spacious outside and inside - excellent complimentary Executive Lounge treat (drinks+light food/snacks for free) which comes with more expensive rooms (we stayed in Junior Suite with Sea View) - it's nice, clean hotel, but it's been a while since last renovation - water in the pools was rather cold (beginning of May) - it's a bit far from action if you looking for nightlife (have to take a taxi)

The location was very convenient for the nightlife and the views out over the water were lovely. Great pools, very safe for children. Good breakfast buffet and reasonable prices in the terrace cafe for lunch. Nice lounge bar for pre-dinner drinks. The overall maintenance could be a touch better. It's not bad but not really high enough for a five star hotel.

Great service, staff was very service minded! Nice breakfast buffet, you had a good selection. If you stay just at the hotel during the day, the pool area is relatively big, however the pools are small, but still nice. You get free towel from the hotel, soft rinks served for free around the pool. The spa is also nice, they offer good massages! There are even several good restaurants in connection with the hotel, although prices are a bit jucey. If you want to explore the island, there is a bus stop just outside of the hotel that takes you to E.G. Valetta or Mdina (€2.60 for a whole day ticket and the buses are clean with ac!!). Both cities worth visiting, especially Mdina! Beautiful! Gozo island is also close by and worth visiting I heard. Overall fantastic stay. There is no real beach to go into the water though, but this is not specific to the hotel, whole Malta is like that. Only a few beaches. St. Julian is okay, but extremely touristic with lots of bars, pubs with teenagers running around getting drunk. Would go out to see the night life one night, but would rather explore other parts of the island if have limited time.

Foyer had bad damp smell with food aroma coming up from the diningroom. In serious need of a refurbishment - carpet and paintwork in passage peeling and lifting. matress so poor had to sleep on the edge of the bed. Had a foam topping which slipped downwards every night. Balcony light set on a timer to switch off at 12.30 pm, so the occupier in the room was forced to shut the cutains. Aircon pumped out warm air.

The hotel was not the luxury as described. The staff were awful and so unhelpful everything was too much trouble. The reception area stank of cabbages and school dinners. The lifts did not work on one side of the building. Our minibar was not restocked daily - when we asked for drinks to be brought up they were warm and were told we would have to pay for room service if we wanted a cold drink to put in the minibar. The outside area was very unappealing - plastic chairs and formica tables - not what I would expect from a hotel of this sort.

Loved the food and staff. The Grill3301 restaurant is outstanding and so it their bartender Atilla. A few minor cosmetic issues in the rooms. The buffet for breakfast and dinner needs some improvement.

The staff were very friendly, helped on every occasion, especially the concierge made our stay in the hotel more enjoyable and helped us to explore the historical island. Breakfast was fabulous, big choice of hot and cold food. Although we came to Malta at the worse possible weather and election we enjoyed our stay mostly because of the hotel facilities. There was no Wi-Fi in our room. We were offered another room but we didn't bother to move, we used Wi-Fi in the main lobby.

The junior suite was equipped with everything, it is really nice and luxurious. The breakfast was great lots of food and staff really friendly and professional. Even the executive club was great. The indoor pool does not compliment with the rest of the hotel, it is very old fashioned. The bathrooms also does not compliment with the room

Quiet, relaxing, comfortable, covered parking (fee payable) Felt isolated from bars and restaurants in town, although this is reflected in the Price being cheaper than Hilton etc which are closer to town; free wifi only in lobby & restaurant
