My room was dark. It is extremely expensive for the quality of the hotel. The waiting staff in the café were miserable. I had to return some pork from the restaurant that had blood coming out of it. I paid for wifi in my room and had no connection and was told to try using my laptop in the hallway!!! My phone in my room had to be changed 4 times and then it was decided that the socket in the wall needed to be changed. The reception staff were polite but never smiled. I have stayed in the Dolmen on several occasions many years ago and feel it has gone down hill and is not, by my standards worth the money they charge.

The Hotel was very clean and comfortable, staff were friendly. great breakfast choice. There was entertainment at nights. We would definately use this hotel again, very good acccomodation

Parking can be difficult at times

Location, overlooking sea. Good buffets. Pleasant staff, friendly atmosphere.

When the hotel is full the dining room becomes rather chaotic.

The cleanliness was impeccable, Friendly staff, good breakfast. Has indoor pool for swimming in winter, sauna and massage parlour. Great location. There is an adjacent open car par with security guard. Bugibba has a great promenade by the seaside. Great for jogging especially in winter. Air conditioning was very good.

Can't remember anything in particular. Maybe the tap water in the bathroom had a little too much chlorine. But you can buy bottled water practically from anywhere.

Staff and service were excellent. Breakfast has a wide range of food (cold/hot). Rooms are clean, spacious and quiet. Location is good. Great value for money.

Indoor pool albeit excellent is a bit small. The only sore note was the Gym. The premises and equipment are terrible and need immediate upgrade.

The staff where very friendly, the buffet food was tasty, the room comfortable and modern and the grounds have a lot of pools to choose from. This is a hotel where you can really explore from and discover nice places for yourself. There is also a historical shipwreck site of St Paul nearby which you can take boat trips too.

Very clean, modern, comfortable rooms; good facilities - several swimming pools, gym, really nice spa. Excellent buffet breakfast, with lots of choice.

Would've been nice to be able to make tea and coffee in the room, but that is only very minor complaint.

room cleanliness not great, cockroach poo on the floor for three days before it was cleaned. airconditioning didnt work properly when we asked about it we were told they turn it on in the afternoons only. our friends room had very poor shower pressure ours was good. we asked for rooms in the new section only to be placed in the old section. first room we were given was a smoking room despite the fact we had asked for a non smoking. our friends room didnt even have the beds made when we entered the room. secong room was better but not in new section as i had requested on booking and sent a foolow up email to confirm. the reply to the email was they would do their best to accommodate us. still we were in the old part.

Own hotel beach is very important for Malta. Great spa. Plenty ofrestaurants and cafes in the surrounding area.

Nice hotel especially for families who are looking to stay in a safe place with lots of entertainment. As well it is close to lots of restaurants, souvenir shops, and bus station making it so convenient.

We are a young couple (25 and 26) who stayed at the Dolmen hotel for 10 days in September. We found this hotel to exceed our expectations. We stayed in room 198, no balcony but beautiful sea view. The rooms were basic but clean. The only downside was that there was no fridge. The hotel was clean and the staff were generally pleasant with one or two exceptions. The breakfast buffet was great, the choice was huge and everything was lovely and fresh. Anything you could want was there. The choice of swimming pools was great as we didn't want to listen to screaming children all day, you could go to one pool for activities and noise but if you wanted peace and quiet there was a beautiful pool over looking the sea. The location was really good, just a few minutes away from the main hub of activity in Bugibba. We ate in the hotel once and found the food to be excellent if a bit more expensive than the other restaurants around but I suppose you pay for quality. The wine bar was nice for a quiet drink and the casino was good enough however quite packed. This is a big hotel with alot of people always going to and fro but it is well run and big enough to not feel over crowded in any way. I would definitely recommend it. I would recommend using public transport for all sightseeing and travelling to Gozo. It is cheap, frequent and the bus terminal is just behind the hotel. Mdina is a beautiful city, Gozo is well worth a trip and Valetta is obviously a must-see. Mediterraneo and the waterpark are suprisingly enjoyable and not too far from Bugibba, a good day out for children. Damianos pizzeria and Portabello are really nice and reasonably priced restaurants in the area. Stayed September 2012, travelled as a couple

The shower in room 198 needs to be fixed. Looks like it is coming off the wall.

For a standard room, the room had enough space with a beautiful sea view and prices were affordable.

I loved the spa and the fact that we were so close to all local amenities.

The rooms a very cozy, nice beds and good air condition. Nice rocky beach nearby with very clean water. Relatively calm location. Though the hotel itself was overcrowded we did not hear noises in our room.

The hotel was so full all facilities were crowded, especially breakfast area and pool. The spa was fully booked for several weeks. The WC flash had tendency to breaking.
