Spacious room clean fridge in the room good location value for money Breakfast could be improved such as add more different types of cereals and fruit. there was no kettle & shower caps in the room. TV channels are limited. One can add German/French and Spanish channels. In this way it can attract more the tourism market. if they add bathrooms it will make it more luxurious.

It was a decent hotel. Room was clean, neat and rustic furniture-wise. Bathroom was clean. View of countyside was good. Although not truly located "downtown" it was just a 10 minute walk to the city center and bus station and 15 minutes to walk to the castille. I found the price of the hotel much more per night than in a prime location in Sliema with a much better view and truly in the midst of things. In fact, the cost of the 2 nights stay was almost as much as my 5 night stay in Sliema for about the same comfort. I did not care for the restaurant food and found the town square to be the place to go for a good meal. It did seem to be a poplular place amongst the locals which seemed to distract the staff in taking care of their guests. Other than that is was an ok place to stay. Would I recommend this hotel to others...as long as you know up front these things then yes.

I am contemplating buying a holiday home on Gozo and needed a central location from which to meet the Estate Agent and explore the area. Downtown Hotel suited this purpose entirely. I decided to upgrade the original economy single room for one with a view and a balcony....the cost of doing this was minimal. My room was light and airy and very clean. Internet connection was provided free. Staff were friendly and very helpful and the full English breakfast was excellent. I would have liked coffee/tea making facilities in the room although room service was good.

We went to this hotel because we wanted to be close to the opera house. We had booked a country view but were placed in the front rooms of the hotel facing a school and a rather noisy street. Every morning there was a strong smell of solvent in the reception area I am also sensitive to strong odours

My friend and I wanted to attend an opera performanc and hotel was chosen for its proximity to the theater. Very basic clean hotel for one night it was quite good.

Friendly efficient staff clean all you need for a base to travel around Gozo a bit out of the way but all the locals seem to dine there I was impressed by the price and the content of the mini bar in room. But overall as a first time solo traveller was a tad nervous due to the location of the hotel to walk to the town of a night but they have a courtesy car that will drop you off and pick you back up! Food was brilliant and the price was value for money I will be back! There was a group of about 12 booked in and due to the decor of the hotel the smallest sound seemed to echo around the corridors-but I just put it down to there ignorance,however having experienced the moans of people abroad this may result in several bad revues

Great location: just down the hill from the Victoria Citadel and cathedral. Only a 10 minute walk from the main bus/taxi hub in Gozo. In Sept. 2011, a round trip ticket from the Malta airport to this hotel on bus/ferry is less than 10 euro; great deal (though a bit slow). Accommodations are more than adequate. Breakfast is truly English, and limited therefore. Overall, not a bad place to stay. Rooms can be a bit noisy, but the a/c unit drowned out most of it and the sleep quality was fine. Breakfast had a limited selection, but it was adequate.

Tis hotel is the only one in Victoria and really in the center of Gozo, so very interesting to visit the whole island. The breakfast was good, not extremely varied, but fo some days it's quite enough There is a lot of noise in the room. You hear everything happens in the hotel

Good price - quality relation. Nice, big room. Clean. Good breakfast. Comfy and homy. Recommend it. The bed sheets didn't seem to have been changed when we arrived the first night (loads of hair and crumbs from the previous occupants). They were changed when we complained the next day.

Good size bathroom, nice newer furntiture, very comfortable, some reception staff were super helpful, others not. Need more signage to find it! Print out directions when you book it!
