I am contemplating buying a holiday home on Gozo and needed a central location from which to meet the Estate Agent and explore the area. Downtown Hotel suited this purpose entirely. I decided to upgrade the original economy single room for one with a view and a balcony....the cost of doing this was minimal. My room was light and airy and very clean. Internet connection was provided free. Staff were friendly and very helpful and the full English breakfast was excellent. I would have liked coffee/tea making facilities in the room although room service was good.

My friend and I wanted to attend an opera performanc and hotel was chosen for its proximity to the theater. Very basic clean hotel for one night it was quite good.

Good location, no noise! Easy to reach by car and centric if you want to have a walk in the city. Rooms are quite big and very clean.

Good size bathroom, nice newer furntiture, very comfortable, some reception staff were super helpful, others not. Need more signage to find it! Print out directions when you book it!

The hotel is about 15 min walking from the center and it's easy to park around the hotel. The rooms are nice. Even for a 3 star, the breakfast could have more variety.

Excellent four nights at the Downtown hotel, great location literally 5 minutes walk from Victoria centre, pool on roof although not too large was adequate and most of the time hardly anyone using it. Staff friendly and helpful, nice mix of clientel, mainly Maltese. Breakfast good without being great, decent snacks/coffees/beers available, alround hard to fault at this price. Definitely will be staying there again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

The Downtown Hotel is located in a quiet area but less than 10 walking minutes from Victoria city center. It offers clean and comfortable rooms - no luxuary but fair. The staff was very friendly, we arrived later with a little baby and everything was ready, the keys were handed over in less than a minute and the baby cot was already in the room. The beds are hard and large which suited us very well, we could sleep very comfortably with the baby tucked in between us. The breakfast is rather basic and of very "fat English style" - skip it if you prefer health and quality.

It's very clean, quiet and some rooms have a terrace and nice view to the country. The rooms' size is perfect, the breakfast is pretty decent and the environment of the cafe and restaurant is quite relaxed and comfortable. The hotel is modern and it's just a 10min walk from Victoria's main square.
