Europa Hotel  

The location was exactly what we wanted. Right on the sea front with easy access to early morning swims. Also near to busses and resturants and tourist attractions.

There was no small fridge to house my medicine.

The reception staff is helpful

The noise from the pub near by.

For 25 euro a night it as expected

the location is good, it's at the coast and near connection to valletta the bathroom was good

the first room I got didnt have awindow, even though on booking.com it was proposed. the next room was dirty and shabby.next to the hotel there is a bar/club and it can get. i dont know about the rooms in the top levels but my room (ground level) was loud, and there was also a generator next to the room running all night. i paid 33 € and in my opinion it was worth 15€. but all the 3 hotels i stayed in (plevna, 115 the strand) in silema were overpriced - but I guess that's the prices there. cannot really recommend this hotel.

I paid €100 for 4 nights which is really good. The location is really good. The hotel itself isn't that great but the value you get from the money is definitely worth it. And since the hotel isn't that great you try to spend more time outside than inside.

No views. Lifts do not work properly. Man at Hotel's lido tried to chare us even though we were guests - not very helpful and spoiled our stay

Excellent value for money. Perfect beachside location. Fantastic sea view room with balcony - woke to the most amazing sunrises. Breakfast only 3 euro - bargain. Easy to reach: take X2 bus from airport - it goes a long way round via San Ġiljan (St Julians) but saves changing buses in Valetta. Return to airport is shorter. All day bus ticket only 2.60 euro. Buses into Valetta every 10 minutes. Bus stop only a few yards from hotel.

The room needs a repaint - it was clean but the walls were grubby. It is sparsley furnished (but good solid modern furniture)

The staff at the Europa hotel made our stay a very enjoyable experience, always there with a smile, very helpful, efficient and with a few little jokes thrown in! We just needed a place to sleep and this suited us fine, with clean sheets,fresh towels everyday, and the bed changed during our weeks stay.The shower was always hot and the large room cleaned every day.

The view from the balcony was overlooked by an empty building with smashed open windows which was overgrown and very scruffy.

I asked for a one large bedroom and got a room with three seperate single beds... akward! The staff was so unplesant.

- Lift - pretty good location - by the sea, close to the bus stop - very good and inexpensive Maltese restaurant next to the hotel - towels changed every day - no worms etc.

- Old furniture,the wardrobe couldn't be opened at all, - the room had only one small window overlooking the walls of another building located 3 meters from the hotel (completely no view to anything except the wall) - no extra blankets or quilt (it was cold at night under the sheet and thin blanket) - we wrote that we want a double bed and we got twin beds joined together so there was a big hole between our beds when we slept and one person always fell into this hole while sleeping - no cosmetics except for a soap - old TV with only 7 channels (half of them in Italian) - the room was dark, there was no lamp on the ceiling, but only two weak lamps on the walls - awful smell in the room - the walls of the room were very thin so you could hear what the people in the next room were talking about - on Sunday at 9 a.m. the cleaners came and started shouting to each other on the corridor, but we could hear every word in our room - poor lock in the door (if you pushed the door probably it would open) - no free Wi-Fi - the hotel needs immediate refurbishing!

All very basic, very small room, but cheap , you get what you pay for. Breakfast very sparse.

The location was convinient for us as travelllers as we were able to easily take buses to places.

The service was poor and unfriendly at first. The organisation of the rooms were poor. We booked the room for three, seaview two months before the arrival date. However when we arrived, the receptionist told us the room is not available. The expectation of staying in hotel was really poor.

The location is very good. Place on the seashore the hotel is between Valleta and Paceville so it is ease to reach sightseeing and nightlife places. The place should be great for young people who are looking for a budged-friendly place to oversleep and stay in the heart of city life.

We did not like breakfast quality. Juice from powders, old and cold eggs, some refined cereal and white bread with jams. For people who think what they eat, the breakfast could result in empty stomach. Furniture in the rooms is quite cheap and old. This hotel might seem uncomfortable.

Location.

Our room was on the fisrt floor. No window in the room. There was a door leading to a small courtyard, where there were cigarette butts and other trash. It was unpleasantly!

Sea view at low cost , grand balcony - simply perfect. Staff were very friendly. Close to everything :)

It is a budget hotel and the room did´nt look so nice but it was tidy and still worth it!

Great staff, Adequate facilities , Rooms were clean and modest. The hotel is close to the bus stops and offer great connections to various parts of the Island.

Great value for money in this friendly 2-star hotel with a great beachfront location. Don´t expect more than what you pay for. But, if you´re not in for plush carpets and fancy furniture I honestly recommend Europa Hotel. It must be hard to find a better hotel with better staff for the same price. Rooms and facilities are quite basic, just what you need. Furniture might be a little dated and worn but rooms are very clean (good job housekeeping!). Very basic breakfast; cereals, milk, jam, bread, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, coffe/tea and juice, enough to get you going. Plenty of good restaurant´s nearby and short walk to shopping. Buses stop just outside. I will definitely stay here again if/when we return to lovely Malta.

Wouldn't have minded i.e. yoghurt and some greens and fruit at breakfast, even if price was a bit higher. If WiFi was free - Wow, then I would have been even happier. The bar next door has too loud music and too late at night. The building is not suited for loud music and the bar has no soundproofing. Low frequency noise (bass beat) travels throughout the stone building, even to rooms at the back on the 3rd floor.
