Lovely views of Valletta and convenient access to city, Slimea and St Julians. Rooms/ staff and pool all fair to good- stretching things to describe as 4 star though. Could be noisy in the early morning with the windows open. No respite from the package tour crowd. Breakfast (full English variety) in a huge crowded room a particular ordeal |

Front of the 4star hotel has view of Valletta fortifications, good evening promenade along harbour coast, 4 pools and the restaurants are shared with 5star resort&spa hotel. Rooms are spacious, buffet breakfast has variety and good food. 5 minute walk to buses for other towns, harbour cruises and some shopping. Seaview could be harbour view (highly preferable) or from the back of hotel, a strip of sea at the horizon above newly built or being built buildings and view is through half a dozen construction cranes. There was a waterleak in the hall of our floor near light fixtures, we were told they had somebody fixing it. We worried about eletrical problems all night and woke up to drenched floor carpets, walls and cielings. In the morning water was still dripping from cieling. Happy to check out. Light fixture fell from the cieling near elevator missing me by one step forward. Furniture in one room was old (from the 80s) and mattresses was springy and squeeky, toilet seat yellow with age. Minimal TV stations. |

The hotel had a pleasant feeling and worked efficiently without any signs of too many staff or undue activity. Limited car parking, we picked up a parking ticket after being informed by reception when we checked in that our car would be okay. This is not a formal complaint but guests with cars should be aware of the difficulty. |

excellent location - close to the Ferry and buses. The view from the room was breathtaking. Probably more suited to older couples. |

Hotel Fortina is selling a product thay don´t have. We booked a room there because we checked the web, and there we found pictures of beutiful new and clean rooms. When we arrived there, we faced the truth: a dirty, old, small, and smelly room. |

the place, near to Valetta (10 min bus or ferry) and the view form the room. The hotel also has two nice swimming pools and a nice garden. The staff was very polite and helpful The furniture and decoration of the standard rooms is oldish, the bathroom is tiny and the ceiling (in the bathroom) had some strange spots (probably humidity). The superior rooms looked nicer, bigger and their furniture and decoration was nicer but these rooms are more expensive. |

We had the 'honeymoon' suite. It was really good. Nice and big and value for money. On arrival we recieved a drink which was a nice welcome. We booked a taxi for the morning to the airport and it didn't arrive. The hotel staff said on the notes it was booked for the evening by accident so he had to ring another one. |

We liked the view to La Valleta, the swimming pool and the large rooms. The rooms are good and quite. Breakfast is nice but could be better. Towels to the swimming pool should not be paid. We wait to long for the elevators. |

The view was a highlight for us and convenient for boat trips and Valletta. The foyer was disappointing. |

Nothing was as the listed and expected luxury! Unfortunately the hotel did not meet our expectations. The lift was totally problematic. The stuff was aggressive in most cases. No clean plates, forks and it looks like a third world hotel. I can write many many thing and issues as well as arguments for someone not to visit the hotel. For 3 consecutive mornings I have found a lip stick on a water glass. This definitely not even a 2* hotel. |

Very friendly staff, we were upgraded to a great room which was a great surprise as we booked at a very interesting rate. So we were very lucky and had a very pleasant stay. breakfast was too much oriented to British visitors. Swimming pool could only be accessed via the 5star hotel which was not that convenient. |

Great location, rooms with seaview have a fantastic view, great deal to have access to the restaurants of the 5-star at 25% discount and nice swimming pool by the sea. With the exception of the manager (Geilke), the staff is not very good and doesn't have much information required. We arrived in the evening and the room with seaview we had booked was not available. They tried to give us a deluxe room with garden view and convince me that such upgrade was best deal for us. I wanted sea view and insisted. |

Nothing specially. Althought the breakfast buffet and the swimming pool were ok. Everything was old and dirty, and the staff was rude and not so helpfull. One of the maids came into my room while we where inside without even knocking on the door. And when checking in at the hotel they couldn't find my reservation and I had to sort the problem out by myself at a coin operated Internet machine. |

We were given a free upgrade on arrival so that started things off very nicely. Breakfast was very nice and loads of options to choose from. The hotel was very quiet apart from the odd disco in the evening. The pool was very clean and relaxing. The use of the spa for showering after checking out was extremely useful. |

Valleta views from the rooms are great (in case you have a room on the seaside). The hotel is nothing of four star. If you think you are paying for a 4star standard, better forget about it. Poor tv channels selections, small room, not very modern (refurbishment would not be a bad idea), staff not really knowladgable. |
