Grand Hotel  

Spacious and clean and cmfortable. Excellent view

The room was equipped with tea & coffee self service. Unfortunately we only had 2 coffees (one each) - rather poor. The overhead shower was not functioning well (Room 653) and the shower stand would not hold in a set position. Since we only stayed for one night, then I could live with this.

We liked everything about the hotel , the staff very friendly and the food was very good.

We did not like the mattress, but I guess its because I suffer from back pain and it was too hard!

Great location and nice room with balcony overlooking the sea and harbour. Comfortable bed, spacious room and stylish. Had a good Thai restuarant which we used.

Despite rising temperatures hotels in Malta including this one refuse to turn on their air-con. Presumably to save money but it is the customers comfort that should come first. Restaurant had very basic menu, a big disappointment for a so called 4 star hotel. However ,the Thai closed on Tues but none of the hotel staff informed us so that night we were forced to go into town to find an alternative.

The view from our room was lovely,looking @the harbour

No air conditioning in our room.Noisy guests on the balconies above and we had to leave patio doors open as too hot in room.We asked and were told we could not have .

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Food was well presented and good.

Pillows soft & low. TV was small compared with the room.It was too far away from bed.

The seaview and the room was very comfortable. Th staff was very helpful and well educated.

The fact that we had to carry our own luggage 2 flights of stairs as the lift was out of service. The mini bar was not checked prior our arrival as we found a bottle of water filled with milk of the previous residents and due to this we were going to be charged for a small bottle of water which we didn't consume. The jucuzzi bath was not working. The TV was giving a no signal. When we called reception at around 5.30pm and we were told that the maintenance technician will call to our room the next morning. Only due to our persistent complaints was a (waiter) sent to our room to try and fix the problem. The breakfast was not to expected standards.

The food has been bettered and is very good. The friendly atmoshere of the staff. they make you feel comfortable and at home.

The floor of the rooms could have been better cleaned

Most rooms are very large and well equpped. Coffee making facilities are much appreciated. Breakfast is great..

Lift to side rooms was out of order during the whole stay. So one had to use the stairs from the fifth floor upwards. One of our rooms was in the seventh floor. Here, you actually have to walk outside on the roof to get to your room. Not at all advisable as it was raining one evening. This proves very ackward especially in the morning when going down for breakfast, One can easily catch a cold. The seventh floor is not recommended at all.

This a proper 4* hotel. It's perfect in every way. Even if you are a very demanding customer, the staff will exceed your expectations within the first 10 min as you walked in. Highly recommended, one the best place to stay in Malta overall, not particularly in Gozo.

It is a hotel where one can really relax. We had a room in the new wing with the harbour view. It was lovely. Next time we come we will book the same room if it is available.

The fact that the gym and the spa mentioned in the website were not available.

A very attractive and enjoyable location, were one would shourly enjoy and relax in an amazing environment ile being pampered by the very friendly staff.

The bath room needs a bit of an upgrade on sink knobs.

The staff are brilliant, so friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable with great sized bathrooms.

I have to say the breakfast wasn't great. The cooked breadfast wasn't pleasant at all. All very 'luke warm' and both the sausages and bacon were of a very low grade - in fact I couldn't eat it. However, the cold breakfast was plentiful and fresh.

The rooms are very clean and spacious. Breakfast are very rich and very well displayed.

Both receptionists do not speak Maltese and it is not fair. The garage should have a better look it looks dirty.

The service was good, location is great. Room was very clean.

Very comfortable room and nice breakfast, free carpark, good shower and staff coped very well with us arriving in the middle of the night. We got bumped up to a harbour view which was very nice.

Smelly drains. Gym equipment doesn't work and is very old-fashioned. Hotel is being massively expanded which will probably make it a lot less 'grand' (yet the older sections have not yet been updated).

Out door was broken and everytime we had to enter our room the receptionist had to come and open with the master key.
