Great neighborhood, lots of restaurants, grocery stores, shops, very walkable. Busses are a few blocks away and there is street parking if you can find it but I’d not choose to drive. Easy to get to Valletta, much more difficult to get to the ferry to Gozo. Go to Mdena, it’s amazing. Wander round Valletta. Stay longer than you think as there is lots to see and do. Great country! Ali Baba is a great Lebanese restaurant in the hood. Lunch at Grain, a Michelin Bib, is an excellent value and a terrific meal.

Great to have the ferries so close, so a ferry tour with iSeeMalta to Gozo and Comino is totally worth every cent. There are so many restaurants and pubs in the main street for everyone's taste. Promenade was lovely, with a view of Valletta and a nice bay area.
If you're in doubt, where to stay, I would recommend this area - compared to Valletta there's a bit less tourists, so more space to move around and a bit more greenery, also better access to other parts of the islands without sitting in traffic too long.

A vibrant young community close to the stunning harbour with a lovely selection of bars and restaurants. People were kind and helpful and very polite.
I was irritated by the amount of dogs' poo on the pavements.
The suite was spacious, very tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable and well equipped. The location is just a few mins walk from the seafront and is served well by buses to Valetta & the Ferry Terminal.
Giuseppe is an excellent host making you feel very welcome and is happy to be contacted with any questions/issues.
Giuseppe went out of her way to be helpful, and that made a big difference to my visit to Malta.
Nice and clean hotel and room at good place in Sliema. The bed was comfortable, the whole room and bathroom is good size. Breakfast was diverse and tasty, they had gluten-free bread also. Several shops are around, you can walk anywhere in Sliema in a few minutes (there is good nightlife here). Valletta is also close, but I suggest the bus/car to there. Basically, it was perfect for our three days trip in Malta.
Nice apartment in a convenient location. It comes fully equipped, so we did not miss anything. The host takes care even of details: there was some drinking water available upon arrival and other pleasantries. There was an issue due to an earlier water leakage, but the host was very attentive and tried her best to accommodate our wishes quickly. For Malta the double bed was also comparatively large.
Without exaggeration the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Malta. The rooms are large and well equipped, the bed was super comfy, and the indoor pool was heated to a temperature that felt so warm and luxurious. Breakfast is served with an amazing view :). Staff are truly service minded.
The location is close to all the bars in Gzira, shops in Sliema, the ferry to Valletta etc.
We really loved our stay at Urban Isle Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the room was very tidy and modernly equipped. The breakfast was indeed very good, tasty and fresh. The Hotel was 1 min far from a bus station that took us to Valleta or to Sliema or up on the island. Great location, great sorroundings with plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Location was great, near the Sliema-Valletta ferry. We had spacious family room with comfy beds and equiped kitchen. Beatiful sea view from the balcony. Breakfast was great, served at the top floor, with planty variety of food. Staff was very friendly and helpfull, expecialy Sandra from the nine floor who gave us some recommendations for visiting Malta.
Elise apartment is perfect for a stay in Malta. The location was great. It’s literally a 5-minute walk to the seafront and also very central. There are lots of restaurants and life around but in the flat itself, it’s completely quiet. The apartment is very clean and comfortable and has everything you could need. I️ would 100% recommend a stay here.
Hotel is part of groups NEU Collective and there is a lot of content. You can use pool on the roof, pool near the sea, spa… Everything is great and rooms was very clean every day. Location is great, very close to Valletta and St. Julians where is very popular for young people. Next time when I will visit Malta, I will booking same hotel!
Owner is suuuper nice and friendly person. Enviroument is cute and chill. Hamrun is very central city(10 min by bus from capital.Buses are freaquent). Ideal if you are planning to visit all around Malta and go to to rest in peace at your staying place. But not for attractions in it
New modern hotel with a great location for Malta exploring: bus station right across the street, Valletta is 5 min by taxi or you can take a bus or a ferry, it’s 15 min from the place. Check-in was super clear and easy too. Much recommended place to stay!
Hi Guys i have stayed in St Hotels many times always very good here in Malta but its like Travel lodge style like uk but good price and clean , and there staff are a Credit to the Company its not the Hilton but its very good indeed and clean
Very friendly staff. Tasty and rich breakfast (eggs, various spreads, various fruit juices). Very delicious cuisine of the hotel-restaurant Grana. A range of excursions iseemalta. Good location. Free access to the pool Aqualuna.
The breakfast was great value for money. Everting from continental to full English, the location of the hotel is excellent there a bus stop outside so good access to the rest of Malta, also a 5 minuwalk to the ferry to Valletta
nothing, it was one of the few hotels available in Malta for the requested period and even if rate was not very good I wanted to try as it was only for 1 night but.... no way
Location is maybe not the best one but in Malta everything is so close so it's better to be a little bit away. Bed was one of the best that I had in my travels.
The building as a whole was odd, however the room itself was good. Spacious, clean, had a blow dryer, iron and a safe. The hotel restaurant - Grana - was great!
