Il Palazzin Hotel  

Very clean and quiet. Lovely spacious room with sea view (ask for a high floor) Breakfast ample, even hot food served daily. Easy walk to the front and bus stops including stop for all day sight seeing bus, recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay in Il Palazzin Hotel. The staff were excellent and contributed towards a very relaxed stay. The food was fantastic starting with an excellent breakfast buffet. We had checked in as b&b customers but the food was so good that we dined in most nights at the hotel to enjoy the buffet dinner (soup, salad, varied choice of main including vegitarian and fish, cake, ice cream or fruit). The sun terrace on the 6th floor could do with a little attention with perhaps new sun mats for the loungers and to make sure the indoor pool is kept clean if not in use all the time but the views from the sun roof were fab. All credit must go to the staff from the friendly welcome late at night to an attentive service throughout. No food was available after arriving at 10pm from a Ryan air flight and there were no restaurants open in October at this time either although a local bar rummaged up some impromptu tapas and a welcome glass of wine. The hotel was very clean with pristine sheets and pillows changed every 4 days. A lovely experience and I will be back but dont want to tell too many people about this well kepts secret ! I liked the fact that it is peaceful and quiet.

I expected more facilities and a more equipped gym.

We had a wonderful stay at Il Palazzin and would definitely return here. The location was perfect for us - in a quiet area in Qawra and, unlike many of the other hotels in the area that we saw, the poolside area was peaceful and relaxing. We had a seafacing room with a gorgeous view of the bay and spent many evenings on the balcony. The staff were incredibly friendly and pleasant and went out of their way to assist my fiance (who was at the time planning the proposal!). All in all, a lovely place to stay.

The hotel was cheap enough for a holiday away. The rate included Breakfast. The balcony was a nice addition to the room (make sure you ask for a room on the top floor).

The staff was nice but not really competent. The indoor swimming pool was very dirty. And they decided to clean the outdoor swimming pool when the guest were already swimming. The sheets didn't cover the entire bed, they were too small. They were insects in the room (not many but still... on the 5th floor??) I was greated by the receptionist on arrival by a "you have to pay my friend" instead of asking for my credit card nicely. I enjoyed my stay but I don't think I will ever go back to this hotel. This hotel didn't provide a 4**** service but in fairness, the price for the room was not 4**** either. Just be aware of this when booking.

Friendly staff, very clean, always sun beds available by pool. Pool is small enough though. Enjoyed my stay there. Quiet area. Really enjoyed stay there

Air con wasn't great and didn't like that you couldn't pay straight away for food or drinks etc . you had to go to reception to pay and then they wouldn't have bill on their screens and ask you to come back tomorrow and pay

room had to have a double bed, but had three single beds. was very hot, aircondition not working.

Good size & clean double room with a pool view. Working aircondition and plenty of hot water at the shower. Good breakfast (bread, ham, cheese, yogurt, müesli, oranges, omelet, coffee/tea) and a very friendly staff. Sun was shining to the pool the whole day. This hotel is located on a quiet side street, walking distance to everywhere at Qawra.

Breakfast could start earlier than 7:30 (some scuba trips start before 8)

Relatively close to the sea. Not much traffic in the street. Easy and free parking close to entrance. Room relatively clean. Sea-view from balcony (not all rooms have this). Low price.

Extremely loud 24*7 noise from aircondition on building roof across the street. Carpet in hallways dirty. Breakfast lousy - didn't dare trying dinner. Tv signal very distorted on most relevant channels, tv itself a 14" tube leftover from the '80s with an almost working universal remote. Bathroom worn down - had to get maintenance to fix shower which had clearly been broke for months (years?). Clock Radio didn't work. This is to be expected from a hotel at this price, but not from a 4-star hotel. Recommended (especially if you're hearing impaired) but only based on the low price.

Het is een eenvoudig hotel. Heel erg geschikt om van daaruit het eiland te ontdekken. Wij hadden er ook diner bij en dit was net als het ontbijt erg goed.
