Perfect situation just at the gate of Valletta. Good views from all windows. Spacious and comfortable room. This is not a complaint but I found it bizarre that in late afternoon, someone from the service department would knock on the door to check if "everything is OK". |

Very comfortable , open and friendly staff .Relaxed atmosphere. Had a great time. We waited quite a long time to get our main meal in the Brasserie restaurant on the Saturady night, about 45 minutes .It was full and we think it was becasue an anniversary dinner group were getting served in the function room first. So maybe a bit of better staff planning in future. This in no way spoiled our enjoyment in the Hotel though. |

Exploring valetta - bus excursions on very poor manners and rough driving by drivers Some bedrooms on town side of hotel get a lot of noise from bus station |

Location is awesome, just outside the main city gates. Room was decent size, bed was very comfortable. Staff was mostly friendly and helpful. Gardens were very impressive as was pool area although it was very far. Bar area looked very nice as well Hotel is a bit dated and it shows in the rooms in some areas. Pool area is very far from hotel although it's nice once you get there. |

People are very nice. Food is very good. This hotel is a bit old- fashioned but it's what we liked. Not so "family-orientated" given the clients type at this period and the lack of entertainement for children (except the swimming pool). The gardern is wonderful. It brings a nice touch in a the very mineral environment of Malta. The location is superb (Valletta city gate, near the bus station). We would have appreciated more "attractions" for the child and a better description of the room before puchasing. However, we got room #300 on the 3rd floor which provides offers several superb views on Valletta. |

I have known the Phoenicia for 50 years. It has retained its old world charm whilst modernising sufficiently to meet today's standards |

This was a luxury hotel and situated in a prime Valetta location. The staff were superb, friendly and efficient. The veranda overlooking breakfast made an excellent location for dining or a relaxing drink before bed. The food was superb also. The room was big enough (although could have been slightly bigger) with views over the harbour. Altogether a great treat. The room we stayed in could have been a little bigger but this is a very minor gripe. |

Very convenient location, wonderful terrace for breakfast, comfortable rooms feels like a dying hotel. The ground floor that gives access to the garden is empty (long corridors and huge ballrooms with no furniture) and is not lit (you literally need a torch if you want to access the garden at night). The garden is underused since there's no area for you to sit. The pool is great but its bar closes at 3pm. |

Near the city center. Too expensive for the value and quality. There is no wi fi in the rooms. the cost of wired internet is too expensive considering the cost of the room. i will not stay in this hotel again. |

It was very peaceful and relaxing despite being in the middle of the town. I had to leave a day earlier than my partner. When she was on her own and she had ordered room service she felt a little intimidated by the staff with some of the comments he made. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel but with what had happened with my partner, it will make me think twice about staying again. |

Location and the flair of the old-time hotels well, the flair of the old time hotel does not mean they have to run it unrefurbished for 50 years or so - everything needs a massive update. Seems like they plan on it in 2009, though |

Goede ligging tegen Centrum Valetta en Busstation, vanwaar heel Malta goedkoop bereikbaar is. Hotel is chique. Goed ontbijt. Mooi uitzicht vanaf balkon.
