I cannot praise this Hotel high enough. From arrival to departure my wife and I enjoyed every minute. We found all members of staff, from cleaners, reception, catering and Guest relations to be very courteous, helpful and polite. I must mention and a very special thank you to Alice Heschel from Hotel Guest Relations who was very helpful and kindly arranged all my requests to surprise my wife on this a very belated Honeymoon. The breakfast buffet was absolutely fantastic and provided ample selection for all tastes. The room was a very good standard and we had a sea view.Cleanliness was a very good standard and overall standard throughout the Hotel was excellent. The pool areas( a choice of three ) were all of a good standard and clean, with towels provided for use in and outside(beach) use. The gym which is free to use is a very good well equipped facility. I would certainly recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Mellieha.

Very nice and helpful staff at the reception - they organized car rental which was efficient and cheaper than the one next door, and provided us with all the information that we needed. Good job! Professional spa center with nice and skilfull staff. Good food at the breakfast buffet, but also in the cafeteria donwstairs. Rooms were quite comfortable, and rather clean. Beware of the rooms facing the city - even if you close the balcony doors you will hear the trucks going since 4 in the morning. We were also dissapointed with the indoor pool - small, rather dirty, with the jacuzzi that never worked. On the top of it we spotted a huge cockrough there, walking across the floor.... As we were there off-season and coudn't use the out-door pools that really spoiled the fun. And one small detail, which was quite annoying - every morning before 9 the staff was opening the door and asking if we need the mini bar replenished. Can they do it later, or together with cleaning the room when the guests are no longer inside, or at least knock and wait for the answer instead of opening the doors immediately?

The rooms were large, spacious, very clean (serviced everyday), with jug kettle. The staff were very helpful and always friendly. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. There are 3 pools (one indoors). Design and layout of the hotel is beautiful. There is a bus stop outside the door with the best beach in Mata only minutes away. The hotel has an excellent restaurant on the second floor. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very good food and excellent service.Would definately recommend it to others Poor Television channels offered. Also, info on hotel services given robot style at reception with hardly any time to assimilate it;a written leaflet would have been much better. Moreover, there was a foul smell in the underground tunnel area and its precints

The Maritim Antonine did not dissapoint it was a lovely hotel the staff were helpful and friendly the room was very nice and perfect for what we needed for a very relaxing holiday. We were staying on a Bed and Breakfast basis which was excellent and on from 7.30 until 10.30am so on lazy mornings there was still plenty of time to have a late breakfast. We made full use of the roof terrace/pool most days it was peaceful and relaxing and the prices at the cafe/bar were reasonable. We will return to Malta in the future and would certainly stay at the Maritim Antonine again.

The indoor and outdoor swimming pools, complete with sauna, steam room and peaceful relaxation area. The room I was given was an upgrade from the basic room which I booked and was extremely good value for money. Bus stop almost at the door of the hotel with transport to various parts of the island.

The hotel staff were helpful and the ambience is nice. It was very good value for money. Also excellent breakfast Children indoor pool hours not adhered to so it was noisy and disruptive for people who wanted to swim and relax.

One of the worst hotels that I have been in... First, they wanted to give us two small beds instead of a big one, as we booked, then once we got it, we realized it wasn't a proper double size bed, but two small ones covered with a big sheet !!, the staff were absolutely unhelpful, and sometimes even nasty. The only good thing: the spa, and the breakfast

Minor issues: quality of room cleaning (varies from a person, smtms didnt clean well a bathroom and a balcony); only 2 English tv-channels; inconvenient shower (not moveable); no hooks for clothes in a corridor; no stand for shoes; monotonous breakfast with a bad coffee and diluted juices; no booklet about the hotel facilities and phone numbers of services. Major issue: inhospitable, ignorable, indifferent attitude of reception girls to the guests. Receptionists did not communicate to each other, forget the requests of the guests, are not eager to help with problems.

Our room was very spacious. I went there on February but I liked this room even more and also we had a large balcony and sitting area. Even the food was marvelous especially the breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel. What we disliked was the pillow as it was too soft.

The location was excellent for visiting various places on the island as there is a bus stop yards from the hotel. The upgraded room was well worth the extra cost. The meals were first class as was the wine with the local wine being exceptional value. The garden pool was very good with no problem getting sunbeds. The lack of air conditioning especially in the room

This was a good, clean hotel with good facilities. It was very convenient for visiting Gozo and the North of Malta. The airport is about 35 minutes drive but this was late at night so there was not much traffic on the roads. Plenty of good restaurants within the small town or a short drive away. Very good breakfast.

Good size room needing some upgrading but clean. Public rooms were well furnished and clean, with the the restaurant being an attractive venue. Ample lifts & three pools.Tea & coffe facilities in room but the 'makings' for two cups only. Staff friendly and attentive especially during meal times. Breakfast good with a variety of options. The hotel is some way from the beach but public transport is close by and convenient. There are several bars and restaurants immediately outside the Hotel if you tire of the reasonably priced fare on offer inside. The problems described elsewhere did not spoil our stay. Had to pay acomodation bill in full when checking in. The bed mattress was thin and due for renewal The tv in our room was as old as the Maltese public transport system but not as much fun. The tv was also housed within a heavy cabinet (which also contained the fridge etc) and positioned in such a way that we had to drag it around the room to watch from our beds. Every morning during our three day stay at around eight am water poured through the bathroom ceiling down the wall behind the wc accompanyed by a banging noise sufficient to wake every one on this floor. We complained to the Manager about this and the fact that the power to the rooms ventilation fan (part of the a/c system) was turned off somewhere centrally..He said it was still Winter and therefore turned off throughout the whole of the Hotel as it was not needed. (It was 22oC in our room at 1am in the morning) He suggested we opened our balcony door but we said we were then disturbed by the close proximity of local music and the sound of local 'boy racers' on motor bikes. We were unable to convince the Manager of a (supposed four star Hotel) that the decision about our own health and comfort at night was for us not him.

Hotel and food generally satisfactory good choice of food provided at Buffet. Bells being rung at church and early morning bus traffic affected our room which faced Main Street would rate this as noisy.
