The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff The hotel felt very secure

Having to pay over the top for wifi which often wasn't working with no reimbursement or extra time added Breakfast could be better. Other guests we spoke to decided to have breakfast out and pay

First night in town and ants crawling all over our floor. The person on duty found us another room on another floor, but the room safe didn't work and we couldn't get it open till after midnight. No porter at this hotel, so if you're old or physically challenged think again. Management gave us a dinner on the house as a consolation--but emotionally we were spent and left Malta shortly thereafter.

    Nothing at all !!

The staf were very unhelp full, the break fast set up bad, they use flasks for hot water, that were empty, 2 of them, no milk in jugs, staff dont even say good morning, you cant move at breakfast, you cant even get a bottle of water we asked for ,told come back when bar opens at 5pm go back at 6 still not open told bar man is late,so we walked a long way to get water for our pills,we hae been to malta 10 times this is the worse hotel yet, the room I would say was for a single bed not a double, not happy at all !!

excellent location at entrance of city very nice room (although bathroom was so basic that the style clashed with the rooms lush decor) very friendly staff

breakfast - never seen so little choice in bread as here. Only industrially-baked white bread. No fresh bread whatsoever! other things (cheese, ham etc) were of poor quality as well. Desperate need of improvement.

The room - it was huge, clean and well-appointed with air conditioning and a very nice bathroom. We were lucky to get a room at the back which had a small balcony with a great view over Valletta The staff - they couldn't do enough to help. The breakfast - plenty of food including bread, boiled eggs, cakes, fruit and yogurt, cereal, plus coffee, tea and juice to drink. There was also some meat but I;'m a veggie so don't know what it was. I would have preferred more veggie options for breakfast but it filled me up ready for the day so that's all I really care about! The location - perfect location for exploring Valletta and only about 10-15 mins walk from Malta's main bus station where you can get a bus to anywhere on the island for 1 Euro 50 per day.

    Location, value for money

having no fridge in the room, no wi-fi, although both could be bought for a small extra fee, these should be standard these days. Also the slimy plastic shower curtain. If these sort out these minor problems this would be a much better hotel

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, efficient air conditioning. Perfect position for anyone with business in Valetta.

The breakfast was good except for processed cheese slices and the egg dish, a solid block made from powdered egg.

The rude and grumpy towel collector who hammered our door down at 9am (luckily we were up). She became nicer after making a complaint though.

Pool on the roof, good TV channels, location (very close to the centre of Valetta, bus station etc) Good breakfast - cooked items as well as cereal, toast etc.

The bathroom was tiny - sitting on the toilet my knees bumped into the fixed toilet roll holder. Internet was quite expensive ( but it was available).

Some of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Bus station is 5min walk away as is half of Valletta as well. The location is quiet. Clean rooms and decent breakfast buffet. Air condition was necessary in July.

These are minor grievances; we would probably go to this hotel again. The pool is tiny and the views from roof terrace are not that great. Some hotel staff were a bit rude. Breakfast could have had some variation and it lacked fresh vegetables. Paying for WiFi is not from this decade.

Breakfast is a bit basic, but good value.

Rooms are quite small. I did stay in the hotel 3 years ago. At that time WIFI was already slow but I was expecting it had improved. Not at all! Even in the middle of the night and you have to pay for it.

the hotel is inside the wall of Valletta, has a decent air conditioning system.

the hotel was rather dusty, the sink broke, no free wifi, the room overlooked a rather noisy street.
