Really enjoyed a relaxing stay.Great location for sights, transport and good restaurants. A very friendly and helpful host
The location, homey-environment and cleanliness.
The bedroom was very quiet and the accommodation was of a very high standard. We wold certainly return if we revisited Malta.
The owner is wonderfully welcoming, goes out of his ways,so interesting and friendly.
Only the mattress, bedding, rest is excellent.
Loved it all! Location is great, the suite is well furnished and very comfortable. The Palazzo itself is beautiful, Valletta is stunning, the owner Franck is very hospitable and goes out of his way to ensure you enjoy your stay. Would definitely recommend these suites!
As to likes, there are so many. The restoration of this historic palazzo is superb and the location is just a three minute walk to the very center of Valletta. There were interesting things to do or see within walking distance every day of our one-week stay. And the owner of Palazzo Valletta is a great guy; a gracious and courteous host in all respects.
As to dislikes, we had none. Even the weather was pretty good for a late November trip. Not too cold, not too hot. We'd go back.
I liked the architecture of the facility and its location very close to the main square of Valletta.
I didn't like not seeing staff on the premises. I had an issue that I finally communicated to a staff person via the Tourist Info people. Also, the room was very humid, which probably wouldn't be an issue if either the heat of AC was running. In November neither were, and the humidity/dampness did bother me a bit.
Excellent location, fantastic view of Valletta and Grand Harbour, very well equipped apartment, nice and helpful Frank. Perfect holidays!
Everything was perfect
Location was wonderful. Close to bus station. Extremely clean and spacious. Frank was a great host. Transport from the airport on arrival was definitely an asset. We were so pleased we secured this accommodation. Highly recommend it!
All was good. Difficult to find any negatives.
The location was within walking distances of dining, shopping and historical attractions. I have some difficulty walking and the rooms was very easy to move in. The charm is what we came to Malta for.and Plazzo was that and more.
Nothing really. Would have liked to stay longer. The host was warm and thoughtful.
We liked everything from the ambiance of the flats that struck the right balance between the flavour of a 16th century palazzo and all new mod cons; the immaculate cleanliness; and above all the generous, attentive (but never intrusive) hosting of the owner Frank, who made us feel entirely at home.
We have liked: - The location, better than should we have stayed at our convention hotel. - The owner's hospitality, full attention to his guests' needs yet very reserved. Frank manages his estate with pride and efficiency. - The classic elegance of the Palazzo, a real treat for lovers of antique and history. The owner's family spend vacation here since the XVII century ! - Everything works at its best, compared to many other hotels: wifi, hot water, kitchen facilities. You don't feel the disfunctional issues of old houses at all, although we were sleeping in a museum ! - Very quiet, not for those seeking for action and animation.
The rooms are a bit dark, in particular in the kitchen, perhaps to keep the heat down. We would have loved a full length mirror. Besides, what else could we wish for !!! Thank you Frank. The sisters.
The location was superb right in the center of the old town and the view from the terrace was magnificent. Frank (the owner) was very helpful and polite. Great for relaxation and museum-hunting!
Sometimes you can hear the neighbors from downstairs. Also the blinds don't close all the way so in the morning the sun wakes you up. But overall everything was great!
The Location was Perfect , not only for the City , but also for travelling around the Island. It was a pleasure to return to each day.
Maltese hospitality at its best Attention to detail and impeccable service by the owner and staff ensured we were well taken care of in this beautiful old building brimming with history. Maltese hospitality at its best starts with a hassle free airport taxi on arrival that whisks you to an amazingly spacious and elegantly furnished unit which though spot on in the centre of Valletta is yet so peaceful. We were there during a heat wave but the apartment was kept always cool by the excellent air condition which together with the large comfortable bed ensured we slept very comfortably. Maid calls daily and towels are changed regularly.
Nothing at all
We had a terrible experience with a number of sleepless nights in another establishment before we were so lucky to be able to transfer to this enchanting Palazzo. Everything surpassed our expectations from the warm welcome to the large stylishly appointed suite more fitting of a luxury hotel. The bathroom was modern with a powerful shower head and the bed large and comfortable laid with fine quality sheets. High speed wi fi essential for my husband's work and satellite TV were free of charge. We wished we could have stayed longer and we shall definitely return.
We wish we had known of this place before.
Location in the heart of the city. Style of the apartment and building Nicely arranged with old-style furniture. Really high effort of the owner to make the apartment and house nice and stylish. Owner's suport to the guests, his engagement and flexibility. Daily cleanning. Transport from the airport.
Apartment darker than on pictures. Hard materace. Air inside a little "heavy".
Excellent location with beautiful views of Grand Harbour from the roof top terrace. Frank played the role of a helpful host to make sure we got the most from our visit. The city of Valletta has so much history, everything as it was when created - a real step back in time. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday spending plenty of time visiting but also de-stressing on the terrace with Maltese food and wine (Odyssey rosé wine available in Wembley store highly recommended)
We stayed for a week in an excellent room which to us resembled a suite in a luxury hotel more than a modest appartment. Frank was a lovely and accomodating host and it is excellent that he arranges free airport transfers from the airport to the appartment! We will definitely be staying here when we visit the wonderful city of valletta again!
The only thing that bothered me wad the hardness of the mattress. But then I do sleep with three duvets in my bed and innumerable pillows so I'm sure it's fine for normal people.
A very good ambiance created with the art work and furniture. Very central with good local wine bars and restaurants. Also near the bus station for trips to interesting places and bathing beaches.
The balcony was a bit narrow but then we had the last apartment.
Architecture and friendliness of Franke the owner
Swiss orthopaedic bed was very hard
The penthouse apartment is perfectly located to capture extraordinary views of Valletta harbour and to explore this beautiful city. The apartment is well equipped for self catering, comfortable with leather furnishings and tastefully decorated. It was a pleasure to return home to each day after exploring the wonders of Malta on warm sunny days. Our host Frank is charming and provided very useful information and an historical insight to this beautiful city. We are delighted to recommend Palazzo Citta Apartments and look forward to our next stay here on future visits to Malta.
Frank is very friendly man, good tips, nice place, bottle of wine in the room! Walking distance from main street in valletta, with many squares, shops, cafés ... + 10 minutes from busterminal where bussen to all over Malta stop
Bed rather hard, ok for me but can be tough to sleep on when you're used to very soft matress..
The apartment building has been beautifully restored retaining the best of antique and modern elements. The owner, Frank, was extremely helpful and was a mine of information on where best to eat nearby.
We enjoyed our holiday very much. Relaxing, wonderful location and fantastic views.
