Location in the heart of the city. Style of the apartment and building Nicely arranged with old-style furniture. Really high effort of the owner to make the apartment and house nice and stylish. Owner's suport to the guests, his engagement and flexibility. Daily cleanning. Transport from the airport.
Apartment darker than on pictures. Hard materace. Air inside a little "heavy".
Excellent location with beautiful views of Grand Harbour from the roof top terrace. Frank played the role of a helpful host to make sure we got the most from our visit. The city of Valletta has so much history, everything as it was when created - a real step back in time. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday spending plenty of time visiting but also de-stressing on the terrace with Maltese food and wine (Odyssey rosé wine available in Wembley store highly recommended)
We stayed for a week in an excellent room which to us resembled a suite in a luxury hotel more than a modest appartment. Frank was a lovely and accomodating host and it is excellent that he arranges free airport transfers from the airport to the appartment! We will definitely be staying here when we visit the wonderful city of valletta again!
The only thing that bothered me wad the hardness of the mattress. But then I do sleep with three duvets in my bed and innumerable pillows so I'm sure it's fine for normal people.
A very good ambiance created with the art work and furniture. Very central with good local wine bars and restaurants. Also near the bus station for trips to interesting places and bathing beaches.
The balcony was a bit narrow but then we had the last apartment.
Architecture and friendliness of Franke the owner
Swiss orthopaedic bed was very hard
The penthouse apartment is perfectly located to capture extraordinary views of Valletta harbour and to explore this beautiful city. The apartment is well equipped for self catering, comfortable with leather furnishings and tastefully decorated. It was a pleasure to return home to each day after exploring the wonders of Malta on warm sunny days. Our host Frank is charming and provided very useful information and an historical insight to this beautiful city. We are delighted to recommend Palazzo Citta Apartments and look forward to our next stay here on future visits to Malta.
Frank is very friendly man, good tips, nice place, bottle of wine in the room! Walking distance from main street in valletta, with many squares, shops, cafés ... + 10 minutes from busterminal where bussen to all over Malta stop
Bed rather hard, ok for me but can be tough to sleep on when you're used to very soft matress..
The apartment building has been beautifully restored retaining the best of antique and modern elements. The owner, Frank, was extremely helpful and was a mine of information on where best to eat nearby.
We enjoyed our holiday very much. Relaxing, wonderful location and fantastic views.
Beautiful location in Valletta; superbly friendly and helpful host and most enjoyable atmosphere and surroundings.
the possibility that the Palazzo becomes so popular that I might not be able to get an apartment in the future!
Beautiful apartment very close to the city centre, ideal for exploring the city and surrounds. 5 minutes to the bus terminus. Frank was very helpful.
Location, very helpful owner and many details that made our stay even better
Perfect property in all ways to experience Valleta. Frank was the consummate host.
Too short a stay
11 out of 10. The apartment, the location and the service were all fantastic. We will definitely return.
Quirky apartment in beautiful location with wonderful views and lovely private terraces, which would be great in better weather. Friendly, helpful owner. Great to find wine, bottled water, tea and coffee in flat. Lift made life easy with suitcases.
Unique Location Fantastic harbour and sea views from Penthouse balconies The owner as excellent host Quietness
The location, of course, was outstanding. Being inside the city walls meant that a tour of Valletta was unnecessary. It was on your doorstep. The furnishings and artwork in the unit were a feature
Lovely old house in good location to explore Valletta.
Note that the balcony overlooks the courtyard inside the building.
Perfect place for holidays. Very convenient location in the heart of Valletta. Luxury style in everything. Frank - the owner - is a genius.
Beautifully restored almost 500 year old noble house, now offering modern facilities. Excellent location and very helpful owner.
Everything. I can only repeat what others have already said and agree. A beautiful building renovated and furnished beautifully. Franck is a gracious host, welcoming, helpful and informative. Unlike many self catering apartments cleaning materials, washing up liquid etc were supplied also coffee/tea and sugar, bed was made daily and bathroom cleaned daily and a fresh set of towels supplied. The location was excellent.
The only thing we did not like was leaving!!!!
Nice owner, he gives a lot of tips to orientate oneself in the city.
It's an old building, very romanticly. But the negative side of these old walls are, they need to refresh the air all the time - especially in warm countries with a high air moisture. My room had only a window to the inner courtyard. It's described like a garden, but it's only a slim courtyard so the room could never refresh as much as it need. Especially during the night it can't be healthful to sleep in such unaired rooms.
Great views; near facilities and sites. Market 750 metres away. Good restaurants and shops.
Could have done with a microwave but we but otherwise all facilities and equipment excellent.
Beautiful old building with very spacious well appointed apartments. Landlord was delightful and very helpful. Facilities super.
Franck was hands down the highlight of our stay, extremely attentive, generous with his time, ready to play concierge if need be, and a marvelous point of entry into Maltese history and culture. We'll never forget his invitation to a glass of wine in his beautifully appointed apartment, where the history of the Knights of St. John seeps through the walls. We had the penthouse in the same building, were delighted with the spaciousness and the view out to the harbor. St. John's Co-Cathedral is close enough that you can set your watch by the bells (although they seemed to ring more capriciously than with any concern for telling the hour--part of Valletta's charm!), and the bus terminal to other destinations in Malta is a reasonable walk away.
My only complaint--certainly not a dealbreaker--is that quality of the sheets and linens weren't quite what I'd have expected for the price. Certainly an easy fix (and a gentle suggestion for improvement...).
