You will never know it's a hidden getaway until you step inside. Naturally blending into the neighburhood of Senglea. View of Valetta from the terrace is simply breathtaking. Several good seafood restaurants are located within walking distance.

No telephone in the room. It would have been better if they provide two room keys for guests.

The accommodation has a small kitchenette inside the room with sink and basic utilities, the room is airconditioned perfectly for those hot nights, and it is located in a very quite street in Senglea. I enjoy the morning trips by the water taxi to Valetta and enjoy the feeling of 'coming home' after adventurous days to the small city of Senglea. The hotel has few restaurants near by the waterfront only few minutes walking distance. Liliana has helped to comfort me on my first day to the country where i knew no one and knew very little of. Sally Port Senglea is very clean and the cherry on top is the balcony overlooking excellent view of Upper Barakka garden and the city of Valetta. Love, love, love.

Transportation wise, the water taxi does not run until late so i had to decide to go back to the hotel and stayed in Senglea all evenings--but that is also because i travel alone. Would consider to stay in Sliema if i would travel to experience the night life.

The property was comfortable, well presented and gave an experience of a traditional style of Maltese house. The upstairs kitchen and terrace gives disconcerted living space and a beautiful view which removes the sense of being trapped in a hotel room. Free wifi and a kitchenette in each room makes the experience welcoming and comfortable. Liliana the owner was very helpful sorting out airport drop off and pickup. She also allowed me to keep my room for several extra hours as there wasn't a booking that night with no thought for payment.

The property is up a steep hill which you have to climb attaché end of the day. But so is almost everywhere in Valletta. The real saving grace is the weather taxi. 10 minute walk down hill and on the flat in the morning and takes you to the heart of the Valletta waterfront right by the bottom of the lift right up to the top of the town. And your water taxi ticket makes the lift free. S the inconvenience is much less than you would think. But if you don't like hills it might discourage you.

Nicely restored traditional Maltese House. You feel very safe and away from the tourist crowd in Valletta, however easy to get there by small ferry. Do not miss to explore three cities and narrow streets around the house.

Wifi was not efficient unfortunately and kept cutting out

Sally Port Senglea is a well presented traditional town house within walking distance of good restaurants (in particular Slaney's), convenience and fresh fruit/veg. stores. The roof terrace offers magnificent views of nearby Vittoriosa and Valletta. I was fortunate my trip coincided with Malta's anniversary celebrations following its accession to the EU, which included a spectacular fireworks display over Grand Harbour (30 Apr.). The owners are attentive, knowledgeable and helpful - a real credit to themselves.

Intermittent WiFi, but this was not a major concern. I chose Senglea to relax and was able to do just that. However, if you are looking for evening entertainment beyond dining out, please take note: the last ferry leaves Senglea for Valletta at 6:05pm. Then again, there is always the bus.

Liliana and Michael, the owners, were excellent. Renato the taxi driver arranged by Liliana was a mine of information and friendly. The location of the house was superb. Modern, quiet, oozing charcter, clean and superb views. We will return to enjoy Port Senglea again. The jewel in the crown is the top room and terrace which overlooks the harbour, Valetta and Vittoriosa... a wow factor!. This accommodation is a MUST for anyone staying on Malta.

Nothing we didn't like, just a few more cups, plates, etc. in the top kitchen would be great, especially at peak booking times.

The location, the view, the quiet, the house itself. Possibly the best location in the Valetta area. The combination of the water taxi and the lift into Valetta made sightseeing very easy. Tip - there is an interim stop for the water taxi on the Senglea side of the inlet (we made the mistake of walking all the way round to the terminus on the Vittoriosa side). A brilliant base for a weekend.

Self catering was a bit tricky given the absence of decent local shops.

The location in a quiet resedential area and only seevn minutes away from fascinating Valletta was perfect for us. The extra kitchen and sittingroom area on the roof combined with a big terrasse and a fantastic view over the harbour to Victoriosa and Valetta made this tastefully restored house a perfect choice for us. Liliana was a very helpful and perfect host.

The communal dining kitchen with roof top patio with views over the harbour and out to Valetta was amazing! We stayed in January so even when the rain came the floor to ceiling glass sliding doors provided an amazing view. This additional room is great for meeting other guests or if you have a group renting the whole house out provides a nice social area-will be great in the summer for BBQ's! The kitchenette in our room was perfect for breakfasts and snacks complete with fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave and sink. The whole house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The location was ideal for all the tourist attractions in Senglea, Burga and Valetta, a water taxi takes you to Valetta relatively quickly and there are buses from the main bus station in Valetta which run later into the evening and stop just a short walk away from the accommodation, this enabled us to see a much wider area of Malta in a short 4 night stay.

The en-suite shower room is very compact, which for us wasn't a problem. The only slight issue was the hot water would run out very quickly, so the shower had to be very quick before it would run cold and there was only just enough hot water for one person to have a shower before waiting for the little storage tank to heat up again.

Unique property away from the tourist areas. You can be in Valletta in 10 minutes via the local water taxi. Lots of very interesting museums and sites of interest to see via local transport which is reliable and very very cheap. Amazing roof terrace with stunning views over the harbour. House has been renovated to a fantastic standard. Liliana is justifiably very proud of her house and went out of her way to pick us up and take us back to the airport. If you want to experience the real Malta then I would definitely recommend Sally Port.

As this is a residential area there were few bars. I would not recommend hiring a car as parking is very limited.

Beautifully restored house, very nice location. Splendid view from the roof terrace. Very friendly owners.

The biggest omission, in the general description is clearly stated: hotel. But it is not, it is a guest house. One is booking a room, not a hotel stay. Do not understand why booking.com does not verify information.

Wonderful property and great location, with spectacular views about across the Grand Harbour and Valletta beyond, vessels coming and going and attractive, renovated dockside developments nearby. Taking the water taxis around was fun and easy, the bus stop is maybe 3 minutes walk away and the restaurants of Vittoriosa and Senglea are also within walking distance. The house has been carefully renovated and the room and bathroom were very comfortable, wifi free and fast and the neighbourhood very quiet. Liliana was very friendly, welcoming and helpful and goes out of her way to ensure guests are well looked after. A great place to stay!

The hotel offers great location for those wishing to stay out of crowds of people yet being close to tourists attractions. Transportaition to Valetta is easy both by bus and by water taxi. Our host Liliana was wery welcoming. We were given maps and clear advises on how to get to the property and to other places of interest. The room was comfortable and there was truly double bed (not two beds pushed together)

It was a bit cold in January despite the air conditioning system set to warming.

Liliana is a great host The location is perfect for exploring Valletta and 3-cities area while still have breathing space. Late evening exploring of Valletta takes some extra orangization because the water taxi stoped operating after 18:00 and bus stops at 23:00. Liliana was of great help in arranging my transportation after an evening show in Valletta.

The shower flow was somewhat weak. Maybe this is a general thing on Malta.

House with three atmospheric apartments plus grandiose roof terrace; most amicable host Liliana; no tourist atmosphere in Senglea instead authentic Maltese; easy access to Valletta by bus or water taxi.

No faults about the accomodation whatsoever; but why is chocolate so hard to come by in Malta ?

I stayed at the Sally Port self- catering apartments for 5 nights. I wanted somewhere quiet yet close to Valetta and its tourist attractions. The Sally Port Apartments in Senglea were a perfect choice for me. The apartments are in a recently restored traditional maltese house with super views of Valetta and its surrounds across the harbour from the second floor terrace (especially at night). There are a no. of very good local restaurents close by on the Senglea waterfront. Travel to Valetta is only a 7 minute water taxi ride away. My host (Liliana) was most helpful with all the information that you will need for a stay in Senglea, Valleta and Malta. I will definitely return.
