The breakfast was good. The staff very friendly. The outdoor swimmingpool and terrasse were very nice. To visit the hotel bar was great fun - good intertainment. The superior rooms have a fine size and a balcony, were we easily could sit 4 persons The wi-fi, which you have to pay for, didn't work well enough from the room - had to go to the reception. There was a bad smell in the bathroom and the cleaning was not the best I have seen. The airconditioner was extremly noisy, så we had to close it and it closed down the fan, too.

rooms were great and the location was excellent. They were short staffed at breakfast and the few workers they had were either hung over or too busy talking to each other.

The breakfast was very good, plenty of food we could choose from. The swimming pool on the roof was nice too. Helpful staff, reacting quite fast if there is any problem, one of our rooms was really smelly, it has been changed straight away. Bad smell in one of the rooms, the internet connection I've paid for, basicly it did not work at all, but luckily they gave me back the money straight away, ground floor is very noisy and rooms need to be refreshed, apart of those small details, all was ok.

that is was pretty central to all amenities in the area and parking was good. Bedding needed re newing as the bedspread was worn and smelt. Room was very basic and stank of cigarettes Unable to have a bath as the water was brown Unable to watch t.v as we were told the remote we would have to pay for. Breakfast was very poor and not of 4 star standard. We checked out a day early and the lady manager didn`t even ask the reason why we were leaving early. And told us we couldn`t get a refund for the night we lost either. A great ending to what was supposed to be a special weekend,my wifes 50th birthday.thanks for nothing!!!

Very nice hotel. Air conditioned room, reception and dining room were very welcome as it was extremely hot! Very nice suite and spacious balcony. Breakfast was lenticular and fresh, with lots of choice. Rooftop pool and terrace was great and had lovely views and a nice breeze! Location was disappointing. No sea view from any room... You had to go upto the 6th floor to see the sea! Qawra was in parts like Blackpool and the choice of restaurants locally was poor (we were on b&b basis). If you could move the hotel, would visit again.

The hotel has a perfect location. It is near the central bus station, great if you want to explore Malta by bus, that is what we did. The boulevard of Qawra is nearby so for a short walk in the (tiny) village the location is good as well. When we got into the room the room was clean, I did not detect any dust. We had quite a large room since we came with a baby, so the room was spacious and big enough for the boy to wander around. The bath room was large as well. We booked the hotel for a good price. The daily cleaning routine is not that great: at one time I wanted a new towel, so it was on the floor and when we came back to the room the same towel was on the rack again. We also noticed that to get the beds done you need to put everything aside. For example the boy's bed always had some toys and if we did not get them out the bed would not be done. The bath room's taps had an horrible aspect, the washbasin had a problem with the water disposal. The door to the balcony could not be closed with the lock. The air conditioning was not great, but sufficient. The hotel has a 4 star rating, which is well overated. A 2 star or maybe 3 star would be a better indication.

The rooftop pool/bar area which stays open lateish, gives a wonderful view of sunsets. The quiet location, but still within walking distance of all the good places in Qawra. Clean. No water bottles in the fridge, and there weren't any left in the vending machines when I arrived at 1:00 am (most corner shops are closed at that time, and I was going scuba diving early the next day; it is important to stay hydrated when you scuba dive and when it's 30 degrees outside, you just want to drink something.) The vending machines are at the back of the hotel, I had to go back to the reception twice to ask for change as the machine was rather capricious (you need the exact change, but the guy at the reception did not seem to know that...he should have done). I think they could have been a little bit more helpful on that, at 1 am you just want to go to bed after having travelled for a few hours, even more so if you have to get up early the next day for scuba diving. Clients leave their cigarette butts on the floor in the pool area; they definitely have to be more strict on that, as when it's windy they get blown into the pool, and this is disgusting.

Good location , nice room with very little noise. Hotel I would recommend ! shower was fine too . considering the price I would say Santana represents good value for your bucks. Tv is an old tiny portable box type, with ppv charges at 7 euro per day. The ppv is a rip off , between the 20 channels there wasn't one single station covering the olympics. On the other hand, you dont go on holiday to look at tv, but as a solo traveller it can be a nice way of passing time in the evening. (minor issue)
