Sliema Chalet Hotel  

The balcony and the view, the sunroof. The dinig facilities and the breakfast, particularly the staff who were helpful and friendly. The domestic staff were unobtrusive and efficient.

That there was no hot drink facility in the room. Most hotels provide this today and Sliema Chalet was backward in this respect. The television was very poor both in terms of the reception and the screen compared to the televisions on display in the dining room.

The location was good.

They emailed me a car had been booked to meet me at the airport. No car arrived. When I complained no english channels were working on my TV in the room they said they had a problem they could not fix at the moment. I noticed the staff in reception watching english channels on the foyer TV during my stay. Their attitude was "sorry, too bad" The service was definitely not good..

Friendly staff

Cleaning staff very noisy in the morning, they knock on yoor door even if you put the "do not disturb" sign on your door. Tv is very bad only a few channels. A bit dirty and bloodspots on my sheets and showercurtain.

We spent 1 week in the hotel. The wiew is wonderful, the price is very good. The hotel is in a good area, close to the sea, to the shopping area, to the harbour, to the city centre. It was great at all!!! Next time I will choose this hotel again.

The bed in the room was unconfortable. On my matrace there was a hole, and I couldnt sleep very well. My back was really pain every morning. But anyway, it wasnt too bed. :)

For the price paid one has to love that hotel. I liked the proximity of everything what Malta has to offer: travel agent, spa, supermarket, public transportation, ethnic restaurants, the sea... Kind people, relaxed atmosphere, and low tourist-polution.

Quality of breakfast was poor.

The hotel's location is excellent and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was quiet and clean - towels changed daily. Breakfast was adequate.The view across the sea from rooms at the front of the hotel is fantastic. It's an ideal base for a business trip or a family holiday.Just a short walk to shopping centres, cafes etc.Buses stop outside the hotel so it's easy to explore the island Catherine Leuz.

There was nothing I disliked. Perhaps one more English speaking TV channel...but you don't go on holiday to watch TV!

The price and the location is very nice. The seaview room really deserves the money. A lot of bus connections can be found within 20 meters. The room service is quite ok.

The facilities are really out of date although this is quite normal in Malta. The breakfast is barely enough, but the young lady is very friendly there.

The room looked onto a brick wall very little natural light. Restaurant was closed there was the sound of loud rushing water all the time while I was in the room

The location of the Hotel and the view from the terrace was excellent. The room was clean, but plain, bathroom nice. The staff was kind. Good value for the price.

Breakfast is the same every day; but it is still OK regarding the price. Hairdryer in the room would be nice.

Cost performance was good. The room was equiped with bathtab and amenities. Morning buffet was satisfactory as well.

I felt discrimination from some staff. Many options are not included to fees, e.g. TV, Internet (at night 7.5 euro per 5hours!), etc.

There was an extra charge for just about everything (tv, safe, refrigerator, Wi-Fi), but I got a good room rate with breakfast, so it's not really a complaint.

We liked the location of the Sliema Chalet Hotel a lot. It's very close to all the shops and the touristic busstop is right in front of the hotel. The rooms with seaview are a must, it is simple but nice! The breakfast at the Sliema Hotel is also very nice, enough choice and friendly staff!

We did not like the normal room we booked so we upgraded to a room with seaview (which is really recommended). The other room had no window what so ever, we did not feel very comfortable. The rooms are all quite old, so I would advise a renovation in the near future.

Location was ideal views after a room swap better. Breakfast is what ud expect.

Blood on the shower curtain. Mould all over bathroom walls and tiles bed sheets where pointless (thin and never stayed on as soon as you moved. Cleaners knocked every morning to wake us up when tryin to have a lazy day then when we where out all they did was make the bed.
