Great hotel with lovely rooms - Very nice bathrooms with shower cubicle & bath - Large comfortable beds - Lots of storage space for clothes - Mini-bar - Coffee/Tea making facilities. The Staff were all very friendly & helpful. It has a very relaxed atmosphere & the decor is contemporary & beautiful. It is in a very central position in Sliema and it is easy to get to shops, bars/restaurants, water taxi, etc within 10mins walk.

This hotel is very good, excellent friendly staff, very clean, good size rooms with a bed that wraps itself around you to give you an excellent night’s sleep after a long day. We were on a room only basis one morning tried the Buffet breakfast lots of choice for all tastes to fill you up for the day plus we did the Sunday buffet the menu and presentation for the diners was excellent highly recommend. The hotel restaurant Temptasian was very good with amazing views over towards Valetta.

One disappointment we paid for a deluxe room with balcony/terrace (Room 241) which had a brick wall up to the sky less than 2 metres from the edge of the balcony, plus any guests in room 240 could have hopped over the rails to join us for drinks, not good it imposed on our privacy, unable to change rooms as hotel was full.

Room was large comfortable and clean and a short walk from the buses and ferries

Al momento del nostro arrivo ho saldato il conto con carta di credito. Mi viene rilasciata relativa ricevuta di pagamento, mi viene detto che il prezzo del soggiorno è "speciale" in quanto bassa stagione e che se desideravo aggiungere la colazione sarebbe stata anche questa in prezzo speciale sulle 12 euro sempre perchè in bassa stagione. Il giorno del check out,vado per pagare una sola colazione e mi viene richiesta una somma incredibile di supplemento di notte, in quanto l'addetto alla reception aveva commesso un errore nel contare le notti (ma nella ricevuta risultavano tutte le notti), nonchè mi vengono incluse colazioni al prezzo di 19 euro l'una. Chiedo di parlare con il responsabile e si sviluppa una lite proprio nella hall, dove mi viene detto che l'adetto del primo giorno aveva commesso un errore non contando una notte, e che il prezzo della colazione era sempre stato fatto in maniera non ufficale. Iniziano a chiamare al telefono a chi aveva fatto il danno mi mettono a me al telefono con lui come se fosse un problema mio e non uno interno loro e insistono sul fatto che io dovevo pagare la differenza. Insomma credo che anche nel peggior hotel una situazione del genere venga gestita con più signorinilità, il responsabile si prende le colpe dei suoi dipendenti ed il cliente viene tutelato nella prospettiva di voler soddisfare I suoi bisogni e averlo di nuovo come ospite. Beh al the palace questo non succede anzi è proprio il contrario. In merito al fatto che sia un Hotel a 5 stelle beh diciamo che le uniche stelle che si vedono sono quelle del cielo di malta. Non lo consiglio.

The location in a quiet street, the church in the vicinity,the central location in Sliema near the Ferry services to La Valletta and the beach strip on the other side. The excellent view from the balcony of the room, the amazing rooftop swimming pool. The free underground parking. The personnel were quite professional. The ground floor reception and the bar are grand and make for a good first impression. The rooms are spacious and well-designed.

The separate beds, though large, were really a nuisance, and we would have much preferred a single matrimonial bed. The mattresses were much too soft, which made for uncomfortable sleeping. The bathtub is 2-star rather than 5-star quality. The room itself and every extra had to be paid in advance and prices kept floating from day to day. There were repairs going on on the rooftop and the conditions for use weren't ideal.

My Wife, young Son and I stayed at the Palace for a long weekend in November. Throughout the stay, the hotel staff were both friendly and accomodating, which added to the overall positive experience at this hotel. The restaurant 'TempAsian' located in this hotel also provided a great selection of oriental cuisine coupled with spectacular views over the harbor towards Valetta, which again had us returning to dine there a second night. If you plan to stay at the hotel, I would recommend that you pay the extra costs to stay in an ocean view room, which provides a panoramic view of the Sliema area out towards the ocean. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will return again should the opportunity arise.

Good welcome at Reception. Location, Not too far to walk to bus stops or the Valetta ferry. Two swimming pools which guarantee swimming all year. Good views of the harbour area from roof-top pool and many rooms. I would only recommend the hotel wih reservations but in the future I may return myself.

Room 748 was an awkward shape. The best feature of the room was the balcony view. The lighting is extremely poor. The only well lit area is at the entrance where its only function seems to be to highlight a very large impractical throne like chair. It was difficult to read in bed. The bathroom has adequate lighting only over the washbasins. There is no coffee-table. The handle of the furtherest away bedside table needs fixing [the retaining screws are loose].

Location and look of the hotel along with available facilities. Taxi service at the hotel was excellent and very informative drivers......like getting a free guided tour whenever you went anywhere. Food was very nice though a little expensive. 18 Euro for breakfast and most cafe's around charged only 4 to 6 euro

Wireless internet in this day and age should not be 5 Euro's per hour. The ac throughout the rooms was not working. We had a balcony that meant we could open the window and get some air in the room but the other room I booked for my mother and sister opened onto an enclosed courtyard that had no air and they could barely sleep with the heat. Breakfast was very expensive 3 to 4 times whats available 5 mins walk away.

I enjoyed the pool and the spa ... during the short periods they were available

(1) Very very noisy : every evening a big venue at the hotel (marriages), with sons, music, dances till late in the night at the floor just under our room. - (2) the same applied for the pools, that were used for private venues two times during our 4 days stay, and then were not available for 'usual' clients like us. This hotel clearly needs or prefers more that kind of use of the hotel than the confort of his 'hotel clients'. (3) Water in the bathroom was cold.

Size of the beds and design of the room

Views only from higher floors, unwilling and incompetent staff, unpractical rooms, curtains don't make the room dark, flooding from shower, cupboard though nicely designed unpractical and hinges destroy cloths, airco blowing extremely loud, no availability of thinner blanket in hotel, no food or even snacks available after 11pm, they get paid by one taxi company so when this one's busy you must wait... Get your own taxi's don't ask them... We can go on for a while, problem remains that there is no real 5star hotel on the island, all you can do is lower your expectations in general... A lot
