The staff was very helpful and responded to queries. Location in the Valletta and the interior design. Good WiFi Kitchenette, iron, hairdryer in the suite.
Very small bathroom with no ventilation.
Central to everything in Valetta and easy access to other parts of the country. Wifi was strong and easy to access. Staff was helpful and hooked us up with a taxi cab driver who ended up being our "driver" for the entire trip. Wonderful experience and very beautiful hotel. It was clean, had character and the rooms had more than enough space.
loved the two bedrooms loved the kitchen nice small pool for the summer elevator two bathrooms great for a small family
we stayed in December and hoped the pool/hotub was heated. That would have perfected our stay!
To the central part of Valletta it takes just five minutes on foot, though ascending the staircases. It's location is very convenient.
Though they have a bath tub, hot water fills only 50litters, up to just ankle. The tub is nonsense. We prefer this apartment because they have tub. My sister is 85year-old and has painful legs and ascending the several steps is a bit trouble.
Basic room- provided towels, linens, etc
1. I wanted to take the bus to the hotel but after multiple emails demanding my flight info, the receptionist said that I absolutely had to take a taxi to hotel because they don't have reception after a certain hr and allegedly buses don't run that late..... This was completely inaccurate. I was arriving at 7pm. So they said I had to take a taxi and the taxi driver would check me into the hotel... Ok, not only is that weird that a taxi driver would also function as the receptionist. But also, not sure why it's my problem that they can't afford to hire someone for more hours. In addition, they expected me to pay this random taxi driver for the room upon arrival... Umm what? 2. Room cold- no obvious way to adjust temperature 3. Location- mediocre, uphill climb a few streets to main street/attractions 4. TV appeared to have multiple channels but only 3 worked. 5. "Jacuzzi" really small, dirty, and ice cold 6. When I brought up these numerous issues to the receptionist in the morning, she was really rude and completely unapologetic, saying that it's my fault I didn't know how to work everything in the room and that everything works perfectly, so I don't know what I'm talking about. In addition, she said I should've called her... When I tried to explain that my US phone doesn't have service overseas she seemed perplexed and said there was something wrong with my phone cause hers works fine..... Needless to say, I won't ever be staying here again. And I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I have been living abroad for the last 3years and am a very seasoned traveler and it is by far one of the weirdest hotel experiences I've had. And also feel a little ripped off since it's off season and all other hotels are acknowledging that by lowering prices. Stayed elsewhere for the rest of my trip and it was fantastic! Rough start to the trip though.
This place was gorgeous! The location was fantastic, staff were wonderful. Do yourself a favour and stay here. The penthouse has amazing views. We stayed in Malta for a week before staying here and this place made us want to move to Malta.
That we didnt stay longer.
location near to the centre of Valletta.Quite block and lift to all floors.
Poor quality bed linen.Very soft matress.
I had a very pleasant stay here. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is very good, in city center of Valleta, close to waterfront and ferries terminal to Sicily and the three cities. The hotel has a good kitchen, is very clean and clear, quit, good hotel..
The location is fabulous, the building is beautiful.
Mosquitos in the room. Some nets on the windows would make a nice improvement.
Fast check in and check out
Location was good, and airport pick-up much appreciated.
The room was dark, airless and narrow. The bed was terrible - really uncomfortable. We weren't warned about the construction right outside the window that started at 7am. Staff was polite but not friendly.
The room was comfortable with good facilities and the location was perfect.
Building works were being conducted in the early hours of the morning in an adjacent property which made it hard to lie in past 7 am.
Room was quiet. The lift was excellent. Internet fast and reliable. Hotel very central to main shopping streets.
Okay for overnight, but a bit small for two people who are staying longer.
most of it
The bed, it was crazy. Ppl who designed the sleeping room made it too small to fit a regular bed. I'm a medium sized man but the 175*140 bed (I looked for the sign under it) forced me to sleep with half of the legs outside it. Please Monica fix this to create a fantastic place. Maybe rotating it on 90 degree may allow you to fit a decent mattress.
The location is great the building is beautiful
An infestation of ants in the kitchen i had no food with me... They were in the kitchen when i got back that night and i had to empty my case and shake out all of my clothes in the morning.. There is no swimming pool it is a large plunge pool two strokes from end to end. I called the Merisi Suites and they didnt apologise. Not good enough.
Location and helpful staff
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble. Dealt with problems immediately. Beautiful historic building - marvellous stone-work. Spacious apartment with walk-in robe, and very reliable lift. Access to sky news. Great location.
Fairly uncomfortable couch. Weak wi-fi link.
To discover the true beauty of Valletta you need to be out and about early or late when the streets are not clogged with cruise ship visitors. Merisi Suites has you right at the heart of all that's best in Valletta. Everything is clean and compact and visually attractive. The suites are mod-con in an age-old building; a sensitive restoration. It's a good spot for visitors who want to visit, not hang about too much.
Things are a bit tight and guests on the lower floors might find the lack of natural light a little off-putting as most rooms look out onto an inner courtyard. Sheets are changed only every 7 days; insufficient in a city where the nights can be hot.
In the heart of Valetta, great place to stay, clean and cosy. Helpful staff.
To soft mattress, you have feeling that you will hit the ground when you lie on it and when turning the person next to you moves with you up and down.
Good central location and clean place, very quiet, plenty of free public parking.
Too small apartment and small double bed. Walls leak when rains and bathroom drains a little malodorous.
Great design and décor using traditional stone structure. Five minute walk from main POIs, but in quiet street. Self catering facilities excellent - home from home.
Mattress could have been more comfortable.
Our fridge wasn't working, it was fixed when we got back in the evening, super service!
very old house but modern appartments so comfortable.
No view to he city.
