Friendly and helpful staff. I would have liked real cappucino and a greater selection of teas. I would have preferred tea served in a small teapot.

Hotel under works so unfortunate. Level was ok for the budget. Good location although traffic in Sliema is very difficult. People are very friendly and kind. This makes up for the breafast and other facilities that good be improved. Not good for business travel really. Improvements with wifi, Bar closes too early, Coffee and Orange Juices need re looking, ensure you get refirmed room. I have said yes below but it depends what you want

Very helpful and friendly staff. Old word charm. Quality of private rooms and public rooms was very good. Good quiet location with easy access to Slemia ferries ten minutes walk. Food very good, quality of buffet was very good and excellent value for money. There wasn't anything I didn't like but the exercise room could be improved with a wider range of equipment, for example a rowing machine.

The beds are excellent, so is the staff! It has some old-fashioned charm without being too nostalgic - a very nice mix. Spa (indoor-pool) is much smaller than indicated by the images shown in the web. The breakfast is rather mediocre - especially the coffee!

The foyer area and helpful reception staff This hotel is advertised as 4 star however it is at most three star. Therefore it was very disappointing. The furnishings are outdated, particularily the bedrooms and dining room. It is in need of total refurbishment. The dining room was particularily depressing and the food at dinner and breakfast was overcooked and unapppetising. The dining room staff were curt and unwelcoming, especially on the evening we arrived. However the reception staff were very helpful. We only stayed one night in this hotel and asked to be moved to the sister hotel, the Palace, the following morning. Reception staff and manager were very helpful. They did not charge us for our evening meal on from the previous night. However we paid a supplement to stay in the Palace.

The barman Alfred was brilliant, he made visitors extremely welcome. The atmosphere of the Hotel was good and it was very easy to talk to the other guests. For a 4 star Hotel it was good value for money, you get what you pay for.

The Victoria Hotel is ideally situated for beach and resort facilities being only a short walk from the promenade, Sliema centre and St Julian's Bay. All staff members were very professional, attentive and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The Penny Black Bar is very good value for money. Swimming pool and spa facilities were luxurious.

Staff was excellent. Comfortable rooms although style was a bit 90's, but the prices was excellent. Also could use roof pool of the sister hotel The Palace. This pool is fabulous. I stayed at The palace hotel which is 5 star and would rather go back to Victoria as the experience was better.

Use of the Palace Hotel facilities. (Hotels interconnect on the 7th floor, pool and restaurant on 9th) As the hotel was in the centre of Sliema (don't expect sea views), the location was good to go to either side of the town's seafront, day or night, although not much happening around the hotel location as it's quite residential Gym, sauna, indoor pool etc.were very good "Talk of the Town" cafe bar (In Palace Hotel) was a nice oasis - always looked forward to coming back for a late/last drink at night. Quiet area and close to what Sliema has to offer. Multi- lingual front desk staff. No bar service, shade or ashtrays at the Victoria Hotel (not Palace Hotel) outdoor pool. Room was quite dated and the shower had a very bad leak. No Mini-Bar. Room cleaning service was very poor - towels taken but not replaced, tissues not replenished (not toilet paper), sanitary bags not replenished. The bar - forget it, but as the hotel connects to The Palace Hotel and it's Cafe Bar, it didn't matter too much

Extremely pleasant reception staff. Very good location, close to Sliema front where you can pick up a ferry across to Valletta, or a stroll down to St Julians area. Did not have meals in the hotel so can not comment on the food. I had stayed in the sister hotel next door, the Palace a 5 star hotel, but found we could wander through to the Victoria and use the facilities of both hotels, I preferred the relaxed atmosphere in the penny black bar in the Victoria so while paying 5 star prices at the Palace we would walk through to the Victoria for a pleasant drink. My only niggle was the air conditioning, although it was 36 degrees when we stayed, our room was quite warm but we were only there to sleep and shower.

Mixed facilities with "the palace", friendliness of the staff, good value for money (we paid 67€ per night) Very old fashion design of the room, minimalistic in standards services (you have to ask to get an extra towel, etc.), wifi not free

Comfortable relaxing atmosphere in the hotel. Staff helpful to make our stay comfortable. Internet availability in the room (though we found it expensive). Coffee making facilities in room. Spacious and elegantly decorated room. Booking way in advance ensured a good room rate. Breakfast nothing to write home about. Very average view for a superior room - view onto the roof of another building.

I liked the Victoria very much and was treated like frequent visitor... The staff went out of their way to make sure I had anything I needed and they upgraded Mr. Refalo and myself to the Palace (two separate rooms) which is joined on the seventh floor of the Victoria - their new five star hotel. The food was excellent and varied. If I return to Malta, I will definitely stay with them. The Victoria is a bit tired but the rooms and the baths are huge in the old part of the hotel. They are upgrading these rooms.

From the warm welcome at the reception, the chance to eat at the hotel groups 3 excellent restaurants using their restaurant deal, the comfortable beds, unobtrusive maid service, excellent location to the seaside promenade, finishing up with an excellent cocktail at their sister restaurant bar - I could not fault this hotel for a trip to Sliema.
