I'd like its beatiful landscape facing from the terrace and its quite relaxing and charmant design

The proprietor - Aldo is a great host for whom nothing is too much trouble. Great view and quiet location if you are in one of the rooms on the upper floors. Very reasonably priced.

These are only minor comments but getting these right would really help. Only one tea bag/coffee sachet in each room. Limited breakfast offering but not a big problem as this is a budget guesthouse. When Aldo moves the breakfast to the top of the building the view will more than make up for it.

The welcome and care from the owner was second to none!! I would be very happy to stay there again and very happy to recommend it to any one else!!

A lack of water pressure in the shower system!! It takes a while to shower with such low pressure.

Nice room with balcony overlooking the harbour / marina and the fortifications of the old city of Vittiriosa (AKA Burgu). Very friendly and helpfull owner Aldo.

Short supply of hot water in the shower, may not be a problem in Summer, but could have been better in winter. Terrible coffee!

Brand new equipment in a fully restored house. It achieves hotel standards. Good location for visiting Vittoriosa area. Professional ruled by the owner who is extremely friendly. Thank you a lot !!!!

Very good hospitality from the owners and staff. Always helpful to our requests and needs. Staff always good to have a chat with. Great views from the rooms overlooking the Grand Harbour and Kalkara Creek both day and night. Very minor teething problems, but very quickly rectified. All in all we have spent 3 wonderful weeks at Villa Del Porto and many thanks to Aldo Camilleri and his staff.

Very friendly and helpful staff and owner. Lovely to open windows over quiet marina. Perfect budget hotel with easy access to buses taking you to Valletta and then around the island.

amazing view! we have the room 302 (strongly recommended) and view from the balcony was really magic. This view affects don't see all minor negative details . Generally it's good value of money

we found that the bed is not comfortable , in such trips it's important thing Breakfast is poor but probably for such price we can not expect to have something better ,

Lovely view of marina. Nice old house. Helpful owner. Ample breakfast. Plenty of hot water. Handy bus stop for Valetta nearby as well as good cafe and cheap pastizzeria.

Was made to feel very comfortable,the cleanliness and service was excellant.aldo is a lovely man who was very accomadating and made sure that everyone that stayed there was very welcomed and relaxed.i defenitaly would stay there again and I would recommend villa del porto to any one that is looking for somewhere to stay.

Staff were excellent throughout and the manager, Aldo, was exceptional - nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has only been open a few months and accordingly everything was new and working well. Air con in room was really welcome. Breakfasts were good. It's not too big - just a nice family guest house. When we left he organised a taxi for us - at the proper, fair price! We are always wary about hotels getting us taxis having been overcharged in the past. For other travellers to Malta - If you go to the tourist info at the airport they will sort out a taxi for you at the proper price. You then just go outside and choose one.

Arrived late, warm, cheerful welcome, shown to our room, air conditioning put on for us, member of staff working that night could not have been more helpful, room good with a lovely view. Very happy with entire experience.

There was only one choice of fruit every day... The same kiwi fruit although it offerd eggs and bacon on the ilove malta site the owners wife had never cooked it but could do boiled eggs if you like an odd english breakfast dont expect it room 204 had flaking paint that dropped down daily and dusted daily aldo the owner was made aware of this on the first day... he refered to it as its moisture due to the limestone build and there was nothing could be done. the shower blew hot and cold the bathroom is very small as it happened so were we. there was no opportunity to get around the bed aldo previously ran a large hotel, but didnt take the complaint seriously, but i did get a a ten euro reduction

The staff was excellent, very friendly and customer oriented. The location with the harbor see view from the balcony was stunning. So easy to get by bus to Valetta or other parts of Malta.

Situated in a quiet and pleasant little town, but near (within walking distance) to Vittoriosa, a nice city with wonderful houses and good restaurants. Small guest house with nice rooms and a very nice and helpful person at the reception.

Public transport is not frequent and the routes are long to other parts of Malta.

Simply perfect location and view at the harbour of Kalkara. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Internet did not work in our room - but then again, who needs it really when in Malta?

A lovely warm welcome from Teddy and Maria, a lovely couple who were very knowledgeable about tourist attractions - better than a tourist info office! Coffee on arrival, the view from our room, the beautiful house, breakfast was delicious-fresh fruits, cheese and bread, room was clean and silent at night.

We liked terrace on the roof very much. It's open from morning to late evening and the view is beautiful, as you can see in our photos. Coffee was very good comparing to other hotels.

Every morning there was same small selection of food for breakfast: too much water in juices, cheap yogurts and so on. There was only cold meal, it would be good to have boiled egg at least.

Nice hotel staff, good localization, peace and quiet, clean.

Little bit too small room

Friendly and v helpful staff. Located in a beautiful setting with local colour. Accessible to cheap public transport. Lots of character, tastefully restored!

Original Hotel. Clean room and nice view to the bay. Plenty of parking space outside. Wi-fi.

In the evening there is nothing to do. No 24 hours service, Very small room. The hotel is very expensive because you can get much more for that price. The brekfast was terrible. I'll not recommend that hotel because of the price.

It's a brand new hotel and the staff and personnel are really polite and willing to help.

In summertime the temperature can rise up to more than 30° inside the room. There is air conditioning, but it only works when you're in the room (with the key). So if you're out for a day and come back the temperature has increased. There are no restaurants in the neighborhood.
