Fine dining with a friendly staff
Some of the staff in the hotel were warm and helpful- especially some of the waiters and the front-desk staff.
However, overall the hotel didn't seem to care much. We faced some problems with the plumbing. Came back one night to find that the room hadn't been cleaned.
Excellent location - across the road from the beach and next to shops. Regular, reliable bus service. Very friendly staff, cater for every need. Personalised service. Perfect place for those who want a real taste of Mauritius.
Temperamental shower - changes to hot and cold at a whim!
Location is great...pretty close to beach..and shops, and great nightlife...
Rooms are too conjusted...spacing between 2 rooms is not ideal...rooms facing is not convenient..
Great staff, very helpful and cheery. Turned around a big bag of laundry fast for me and did it cheap and ironed it all beautifully. Room was very big for the price, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice - I recommend paying the extra 120 rupees for the full cooked breakfast - it was very good. Interesting foyer with dramatic artworks, great to wander round. Spectacular view from the roof, which is a lovely sun trap. Location is good - not too far from the centre. Easy walk in.
Tv didn't have any channels working but I didn't come to watch tv. Safe didn't work (previous occupier left it locked with their combination) but the place felt very secure. These were minor issues in a very nice stay.
Location opposite an excellent snorkelling spot. Handy for supermarket, dive centre, local bar, car hire. Good room, great staff. Hired a car and very easy to get to Le Morne, Chamarel, Port Louis. Missing it already!
Lunch time service is a bit disorganised. Mains came out with starters. Sent one main back until ready then had to wait 20 minutes when said we were ready. Pool is average but wasn't bothered as the beach was fab. Got a bit bored of the harmonica at night. But still had a great 5 night stay.
Beautiful beach but occasionally watch out for corals at the beach.good oportunity to meet locals. Safe feeling because police station oposit to the hotel
Missing outside wster tap in order to clean the sandy feet before entering the hotel lobby.
I got a room on short notice
Other guests departing at 4am sounding like a herd of elephants on the tiled corridors outside my room
Everything about d hotel, especially d receptionist and kicthen and bar
The quality and variety of the food at the buffet is very poor. In the pictures the hotel looks like being directly on the beach, but there is actually a road between the hotel and the beach. I booked a standard room and when at the hotel I found out that it was a very small room, I requested to upgrade to the superior one and that I was willing to pay the difference in the price. But the concierge told me that I should pay a lot of money per day compared to the supposed difference in the room price.
Probably the friendliest place I've ever stayed. The staff were so very helpful and accomodating
The staff n over the road from a nice beach.
Rarely got a hot shower. Water cold most of the time
The food and bar service
Our rooms were not ready even after booking and paying 2 months in advance. They put us up in another hotel for one night as they did repairs to the rooms. The promised us a free lunch and two Spa treatments in return. That turned out to be a lie since they charged us. When we complained, they said that they would discount that by 50%. We got delayed for our flight arguing about these items. On two different days, our rooms were not cleaned and it's on when we got to the rooms in the evening that we complained and the maids came in to do make the beds. One if the evenings whilst in the middle of dinner, a waiter who had been serving us all along came to tell us that the table we were sitting on had been reserved and we should move. Note that the table did not have a reserved sign and that we had just started our deserts. I would not recommend this place to anybody.
Very friendly and supportive staff. Varied food from Indian or Chineese cuisine.
The decor...very good taste
Gym too hot Buffet trays were often empty and not appealing
I loved the staff, the management, location and food
Location is just perfect. Right at the middle of the commercial complex and next to the beach. Also casela nature park is just minutes away.... Also loved the live music and dinner Its like a boutique hotel and i like it a lot
Nothing as such ... not great view from the room that I got .... otherwise nothing
