The food is good, people friendly. The room was big, not much of a view but ok. The place is 40 minutes from Mon Choisy Public Beach and Trou aux Biches. We ended up going to the public beaches, the experience there was great!

From greeting to check out I felt this was a great friendly stay. The service in the rooms was consistent and clean. We stayed in room 2 by the smaller pool that allowed us to cool off on the small deck. They offer a wonderful shuttle to a beautiful beach and to Cascavelle mall which we enjoyed several times under the careful driving skills that was friendly. The young check in lady offered tours which we opted out of in favour of local contact by taking buses to Port Louis and also Baie du CAP which can do a La Morne which she assisted with where to catch and pricing. Be Careful walking as there are narrow shoulders . If you get off the bus it was easy to wave down your local bus that will have a conductor determine your cost depending on the length of your trip. Last but not least, the breakfast was varied daily but consistent in coffee, teas, cereals and yoghurt with bread and condiments. Order your eggs add your cheese and put some bacon( ham) or chicken sliced meat. Variations between chips, samosas, empanadas breaded vegetables and sweet rolls. Beautiful fresh apples bananas so sweet that when they offer crepes you have to have two…so my husband says. Topped of with freshly juiced orange juice.
Wonderful service, wonderful staff and a wonderful way to start of unwinding prior to several intense business trips coming up. Don’t second guess yourselves because this is priced so well. It is easy to see why people stay a week and longer. On a note-They are doing renovations to keep up with the quality to which I speak of but there is plenty of time to miss the comings and going’s of the workers as it warms up get breakfast and get exploring. This stay was booked through booking. com which offered us a fabulous fare rate to and from the airport. We felt no need to rent a car. We used our little kitchen for salads and chicken that we purchased at Jumbo. Lots of dishes and cutlery. We used the fridge and made ice cubes. Water is drinkable &great wifi great place.
Overlooking the lagoon at Tamarin Bay, Sands Suites Resort & Spa is located on Flic-en-Flac Beach. The resort features a spa, a gym and 2 tennis courts. Free Water sport activities are available.

It is near the sea, beach and the view is incredible.
Location of the rooms and the privacy was appropriate. Service around pool and sea was good and the staff were very friendly.
There were many activities to do in the sea, such as stand-up pedaling and snorkeling, and no fee was charged for these activities.

Flic and Flac has a great beach and lots of good restaurants. It is very lively, particularly on a Saturday and Sunday. The restaurants that we enjoyed were Chutneys, Sunset Garden, Mosaic and a Thai restaurant that was a little further out in Tamarin called Ousaporn. Lovely garden settings in both Sunset Gardens and Ousaporn.
I recommend hiring a car. The Black River Gorge is stunning. The views of the gorge, waterfalls and to the bays are outstanding.

Being on the west coast of the island means that it isn't as windy as the east coast or as wet i.e. rainy. The beach is sheltered by a coral reef; as are many of the beaches on Mauritius but there are also resident pods of bottlenose and spinner dolphins off of the west coast of the island.
The boat trips to swim with dolphins and also visit the island on the SW coast of Mauritius go from Flic-en-Flac beach so cost a lot less than from other parts of the island - worth visiting more than one tour operator to get the best price.
Flic-en-Flac is not too far from the airport and being about half way up it is easy to get to most parts of the island in a day to see things.
Lots of restaurants to choose from too.

There are many wonderful places to dine around Flic en Flac with restaurants to cater to everyone's tastes.
There is a big supermarket, some bars and on weekends the place is livelier with music and sega shows. (not to be missed)
The beach is clean and the lagoon is clear and safe to swim.
Sand is clean and there are Filao trees to keep you in the shade.
The water is warm throughout the day.
There is a big shopping mall 10 mins away where you have modern shops, bowling alley, clubs, food places including Mcdonalds and KFC.
The local cuisine is so good so we tried to eat local whenever possible.
We went to Grand Baie which is very nice too but we preferred the charm of Flic en Flac and Flic en Flac was more relaxing.

They have a problem with people parking in the beach car...
They have a problem with people parking in the beach car park opposite the appartment and playing window rattling music till all hours ie 3 to 4 am . I had to ring the police a few times but it did no use . There is a big billboard in the carpark advising of a 10,000mru fine if caught but it had no effect . They parked next to it . Some locals decided to tell them off one night at 3am and the result wes that there was an all in brawl in the street under the appartment window and someone was critically stabbed and put in hospital . And I won`t even bother with the nightclub next door that goes till the same hours !
Flic en Flac has great snorkeling opportunities, great places to eat and amazing sunsets on the beach. The apartment is walking distance to all this, clean, modern, and newly furnished. Our kids loved the pool! We loved being able to either walk where we wanted to be, or to take the public transport across the main road. Rose and Kurt are really amazing hosts (the best I have encountered in travels by a long shot!). Overall great experience for our family and a lovely and memorable holiday.
The host and the workers were very polite and respectable. Always was available for any help or queries that we had. They made us feel very welcomed at the villa and kept the place looking spotless. I would definitely recommend it, and if I go back to Mauritius, I will definitely be staying there again.
FAO - Selvanie: Thank you so much for your excellent hospitality. You really made the process so seemless and gave us fewer things to worry about. You are a STAR!!
- Kids club had energetic and attentive supervisors who were dedicated to ensuring kids have a fantastic time.
- The beach was excellent for swimming.
- The weather conditions did not allow for full experience of offered complimentary water activities (pedal boat/ glass bottom boat/ sailing/ snorkeling).
- The dining experience was excellent as they had daily themed dinners (French, Island style, Mexican) with particularly exceptional pastries and pizzas.
We stayed at Our Island Home for 5 nights on arrival in Mauritius. We found the apartment to be very comfortable. Rodney was welcoming and helpful. Kids loved the small terrace onto the grass and the pool and we had it to ourselves most of the time. We had no issues with noise. The flat really is only 5 mins to the beach even with kids in tow. Great value for money. Felt like we were borrowing a friend's holiday house, a great base for exploring.
Located on the west side of the island, this hotel features multiple pools, but the Inifiniti pool is really amazing for the fact that you can experience from it, one of the best sunsets i have ever seen in my life., and you can swim even after sunset.
Great food for both breakfast and dinner.
Best praise i can do, in general, for any hotel, is saying that i would return again to it, and this is the case with Hilton Hotel Mauritius.
We stayed for a week in Mauritius, and chose Flic en Flac as our accommodation location. The staff were very professional, helpful and friendly - thank you for welcoming us, and making our stay so enjoyable. The bar and restaurant were also great! We were able to do a lot of the activities on the West Coast from Seastar (7 Coloured Sands, Chamarel Rum Distillery, Le Morne hike, Tamarind Falls hike, snorkeling in Grand Baie).
It was an amazing place: room and amanities were amazing, food was very good as well. The pool and bar areas was great. the spa treatment I got (ayuverdic massage) was exactly what I needed. Little things the hotel offered like snacks or cleaning sunglasses (!) service at the beach was a great touch. the fact that there was complimemtary SUP, kayaks, boat snorkeling options even added to a great offer.
Les 2 Canons fully met our expectations. The photos accurately represent the Hotel. It has an amazing view and the location is very convenient for exploring the west side of the island. It's possible to walk to the restaurant area in Flic-en-Flac. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A good breakfast is served every day, overlooking the pool and the sea. Comfortable rooms. I highly recommend it!
Perfect room for the solo traveller at a great price. The owner has just started the business and is on the right track, enthusiastic and helpful.
I actually stayed another 4 nights but in the larger unit which would be suitable for a couple, very comfy bed.
It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach and everything else you may need is close by.
Thanks to Fara and Christian for looking after me.
The room was basic but comfy. The sheets were in great condition, the room spacious and the staff really friendly. It would have been nice if they had some water for sale since it's not considered exactly safe to drink in Mauritius, because after arriving from a very long trip the last thing you wanna do is go get things at a store. Besides that, it was a good place for a night.
-Excellent location , directly facing the Flic en Flac beach , one of the best in Mauritius
-Flexible , professional and helpful staff especially resort manager Hugo and Mats who was supporting him
-Very spacious 2 bedrooms apartment with 2 en suite bathrooms
-Fully equipped kitchen
-Amazing view facing the beach/ocean
-On site parking and 24hrs security
Great location at the quieter end of flic-en-flac not far from the 5 star resort beach area.
Flat was clean and had all the basic amenities, nice comfy bed and porcelain floor. Sofa was also comfy and non fabric which we like for cleanliness. Good size rooms and very cheap and in a good location.
The place was clean, comfy , near the best beaches in Mauritius.
The owner representative was professional enough to facilitate our presence in Mauritius.
I prefer this place , and I recommend it for all , but don't equipped it all year because I want to come again
Very nice rooms! And very comfy beds. I stayed in 4 places in Mauritius where beds were horrible and I was so happy when I slept here. Breakfast is awesome. I had some problems with the shower but they solved very fast 😊 all personal is very sweet!
Large 2-bedroom 2-bath apartment with a balcony over the pool. Locked parking space, wash machine, coffee pot, stove. Short walk to the beach, supermarket, and excellent restaurants and shows. Owner Harrish is very responsive and helpful.
It had a nice feeling of home. The kitchen is fully equipped and cosy. The house is located very close to the beach in a very safe area. The host is very welcoming and helpful. Thank you very much!
The location was handy for the Flic en Flac shops and beach. The pool is nice and lovely to have access to. There are two bathrooms. Lots of power points.
