The Bay Hotel Mauritius  

A postura dos donos quando souberam que estavamos saindo do hotel depois da primeira noite, visto que tínhamos reservado 4 diárias. Infelizmente quando chegamos ao Hotel no domingo eles não estavam e a funcionária do hotel ao ser questionada sobre o problema da internet wifi, falou que não tinha o que fazer ! Reclamei e falei que iria sair no outro dia caso a internet não estivesse funcionando, e ela falou que poderíamos ir embora. Para finalizar, os donos nos ouviram ,pediram desculpas, falaram que aquele final de semana era o de folga deles e apesar de já termos realizado o pagamento integral, eles só cobraram uma diária.

Internet wifi não funciona em todos os quartos, e é de baixa velocidade! Porta do box quebrada, e substituída por uma tolaha de plástico, a qual estava suja gerando mau cheiro no banheiro. Jantar típico francêsm entrada rídicula de pequena e esperamos 1 h e 40 min para o prato principal, o qual chegou com carne fria e uma parte congelada! A localização do hotel é razoável...e a praia na frente não é legal!

the pool by the beach, a fantastic location

the food was terrible, not much fresh seafood so dissapointed. the staff were rude and not helpful. the hotel is locked to only 1 diving agency which is at capacity so i had to find my own operator. hiring a scooter was equally difficult. the staff just wanted the guests locked into thier resturant and facilities. will never return due to food posioning and mosquitos by the pool at sunset.

Nice small friendly hotel on the beach. Delicious food, beautiful location on the beach front. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Nice sea view from room with balcony pool small but well designed, staff helpful but English not there first language.

Hard to find signs poor, in a residential area bad for walking no pavements also need taxi or bus for main attractions. Staff friendly but English a problem with some often got your orders wrong.

very friendly staff who care a lot for a pleasant stay also with children. You get a halfboard service at the Bay and you realy will enjoy the food, absolutely delicius!

We stayed in one of the suites, which I would highly recommend - huge room with a lovely well equipped balcony overlooking the sea, a great spot for watching sunset! Large bathroom with separate shower cubicle and spa bath, plus a walk in wardrobe - always nice!! Restaurant was beautiful, set right by the beach, open and breezy, a lovely spot for breakfast and dinner. Food was really nice - we were on a half board option so didn't get a chance to sample the a la carte menu, but the meals we had were delicious. Lovely swimming pool to relax around, plus some loungers on the beach as well. Hotel is well located on the west coast of Mauritius, close to the beautiful Black River National Park where there are some great hikes and walks, plus an easy 15-20 min drive to the stunning Le Morne point which was the nicest beach we went to, and a great spot for kite and windsurfing as well. All in all, I would highly recommend the Bay Hotel, and would definitely stay here again in the future.

The tv didn't work due to a problem with cabling - only a problem as we wanted to watch the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony!!

A small hotel right on the beach , we were happy with our suite ,it had a great outside balcony where we could sit and relax in, would not have liked the other rooms as they were small and there seemed to be only 3 rooms with seas view, so if you want a sea view then you need the suite. We were half board and the food was very good , the beach area is public and there are lots of boats parked in the sea right in front of the hotel so you have to swim around them.

W hen we arrived our suite was not cleaned properly , thick dust under the bed and around the room ( allergic to dust) floor dirty not cleaned in a long time or else very dirty people there before us, dogs all over the beach and did there poo etc right by the sun beds and although it is a public beach l do think that the area should be cleaned each day , even on the bbq evening we where sat around this. Also the daily evening meal on the board should be also in english .as it is very frustrating to have to ask continually for a transalation, also the tv was all french stations except bbc news and for 8 out of 10 nights the television was broken so we couldnt see the news . this hotel is not for children it is to small . and on the occasions children where there they ran amok screaming and shouting in and out the hotel and pool area.

Small butiquehotel with only 15 rooms, very cosy. The two suites has large balconys with fantastic view over the Ocean. Friendly staff. Excellent restaurant with Oceanview.

The Bay is located in a recedential area so there is not much "life" around, and no restaurants nearby... But we had "halfbord" included and the restaurant was as mentiond very god so it was not a big issue...

Hotel staff very very professional and courteous. The setting is amazing!

A wonderful hotel is spoilt by the smallest showers I have ever used, it is a real pity. It would be nice to have a selection of English tv channels for English speaking guests.

Le petit déjeuner pas varié du tout quand on reste une semaine. ..même confiture et toujours des crêpes. . Quand au repas du soir quantité limite. .

L’accueil du propriétaire , la qualité de son personnel , les attentions quotidiennes de l’équipe, la qualité du restaurant (en demi pension), le cadre de l’hôtel (petit déjeuner et repas face à lamer), le coucher de soleil, la chambre face à la mer (suite N°15)

La plage devant l’hôtel (difficile de nager juste devant) : pas assez de fond La piscine un peu petite (toujours pour nager)

Le service très professionnel, les repas d'une qualité supérieur et copieux, personnel très agrable et le cadre magnifique

Activités extérieures proposées par l'hotel excesivement chères par rapport au prix demandé par les organismes d'activités

L'équipe de l'hôtel est génialissime, toujours prête à se plier en quatre pour nous satisfaire. L'hôtel est familiale et permet de s'y sentir comme chez soi.

la salle de bains qui a vraiment besoin d'un grand coup de "karcher" particulièrement sur les joints de carrelage (sol de murs) où la crasse s'est accumulée depuis très longtemps.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil, la disponibilité et la gentillesse du personnel. L'hôtel est à dimension humaine (16 chambres), on y est presque en famille..... La soirée du vendredi soir, repas sur la plage, est une idée splendide.....

Hotel a taille humaine à l'opposé des grandes structures hotelieres de Maurice ce qui fait que l'on s'y sent immediatement très bien Personnel et encadrement accueillant et attentionné. La suite que nous occupions était impeccable et disposait d'une belle terrasse meublée face à l' océan.La terrasse du restaurant est très agréable en front de mer. On y sert un bon petit déjeuner et des repas variés d' excellente qualité. Au total un sejour parfait.

Le cadre de l’hôtel est vraiment superbe. Piscine avec vue sur l'océan, plage juste à côté de l'hôtel, les cocotiers, repas intimiste... L’hôtel est vraiment calme, musique d'ambiance, c'est très appréciable. Excursion gérée par l'hôtel, tout est simplifié. Le personnel de l'accueil et les dirigeants sont très agréables.

Nous sommes tombés sur une serveuse pas agréable du tout et pas professionnelle à notre goût.

Excellent accueil ; gérants et personnels très sympathiques et attentifs au confort des clients ; le chef cuisinier est compétent et la table très bonne. La situation est très agréable en bordure immédiate de mer, et même si la plage est étroite, on peut se promener sur des kilomètres sur une plage à peu près déserte, ce qui est fort agréable.

Un personnel attentionné. Un cadre exceptionnel. Un hôtel à taille humaine. La tranquillité des lieux. Les couchers de soleil. Le rapport qualité-prix, notamment en formule demi-pension. La proximité de la mer. Une piscine agréable. Bref, excellent choix !

Petite réserve sur l'exiguité de la chambre toutefois confortable.
