Everything was very good. Excellent food and very nice staff.
My personal experience was awsome, I liked very much the location of my villa, beach front and relativelly near to the main facilities. But, I believe some of the villas have not the best location, some are a litle more in the middle of the island.
Beaches were nice, lots of greenery and water was beautiful
The staff are not particularly helpful and not enthused at all about their work. Wait staff were ok on the whole but guest relations were downright rude at times and the only way to get things done seemed to be to enter into a shouting match with them. Utterly shocked to arrive on the first evening and when questioning why we'd been given a double instead of twin bed to be told they couldn't do anything about it that evening as it was 'too much work' for them. Set the tone for the whole trip as every request was too much trouble and they were completely uninterested in making sure our holiday was enjoyable.
the team of chefs were first class and very friendly especially Torangha who went out of his way to help.Bar staff in particular Velu and Makata gave an excellent customer service.
plastic sunloungers and no cushion covers on them .The pool and pool area could be improved and the main bar is to open and lacks atmosphere but would i return ....yes ,definately!!!!
The island and the water were very nice
Bad food and drink quality (hot beer) No leisure activites No live music
I liked our room very much, the silence, the bars and the area that the hotel was located. The Spa was great and the water sport.
I wish I could have had cheese for breakfast. And I wish the main bar had been more active and played better songs to motivate us and the others to dance.
When we were there, the employers are having volleyball and football finals! It is nice to know some more about the life of local people.
No free wifi on the island. And lots of mosquito~
We spent 10 days here and we really enjoyed. Best holidays ever. Professional staff. Excellent facility. Very nice room with wonderful sea view. Snorkeling and diving was great, lots of fish and corals. Make sure to bring your snorkeling set and a water camera with you. We did a snorkeling excursion by going to a reef which was 45 min away by boat from Medhoparu. We saw a lot of amazing corals and some sea turtles down there. It was a wonderful experience. Food was good.
Spa on the island Water Villas are quite good, but nothing diff from similar offerings on other islands.
Distance from airport to island. Amenities of poor quality Full Board package clarity
alcohol quiality very low, sea wall villas
Food was mediocre..staff were not interested and were not service oriented
Mass cafe is the best restaurant in the island although is not included in AI. Dennis at Mass cafe has amazing service skills.
Breakfast timing should be extend!!!!
Before you read my review i want to tell you that this was our first visit to Maldives so I can not say how would the resort compare to other resorts on the area. This was our honeymoon trip and I preferred Maldives over Hawaii or Caribbean and I think I made the right choice. After a lot of research I decided to book Meedhuparu. It's been 4 weeks since we have returned and it seems like we were on a dream island. Crystal clear water, pure white sand beach. We stayed for a week and it was soo soothing that we wanted to stay there more. Food was amazing, now this is something to mention. Huge variety and different menu everyday. The deserts were to die for !!! Chef Guru is amazing and he told us that they have a menu which repeats after 2 weeks, wao !!.Multiple bars with snacks 3 times a day with all types of drinks, though their quality can be improved a little.Excellent places to snockrel. Amazing staff. Peefect seaplane experience.Overall totally worth every penny. Will definitely return and will definitely recommend.
Only downside seemed to be the seawall but everything else was soo amazing that we hardly bothered about it. Our room was 218 which has a seawall in front so not the ideal location. We requested for a room change but it could not be done since the resort was fully booked.
We had absolutely amazing experience! Stayed in Adaaran Select Meedhupparu for 5 nights and it didn't seem enough to us. The seaplane transfer was interesting - a real experience and absolutely amazing views. Cramped and hot inside though, so if you get an opportunity to change into something a bit cooler, I would recommend it! It was quite noisy, so if you need to protect your hearing, I would bring earplugs just in case. The flight time from Malé to the island was about an hour or less. This is a beautiful and good managed resort. The island is small and quiet. You can walk around the island in under 20 minutes, with it's immaculate white sand and beautifully kept grounds. It was like walking inside a botanical garden with exotic beautiful trees and flowers. It's incredibly relaxed and I can't see how anyone could fail to enjoy their stay. We stayed at bungalow #223, which wasn’t on the good side of the island, because there was no beach in front, but we had a nice walk 3 times a day to the main beach, where the swimming pool and the bar is. The bungalow itself is large, air-conditioned and had everything we needed, tea / coffee machine, mini bar with regular supplies of water & non alcoholic drinks, hair dryer, toiletries! The room is attended to twice daily. We stayed 'all inclusive' which for us proved the best value. There was always a good selection of food choices at all meal times, good flavors, buffet style. The good thing was that we had the same table every time and the same waiter. The bar was equally great. The staff were all very friendly and always made sure that you had a drink! Cocktails were all yummy and there were a number of choices. The resort also puts on entertainment every night, including disco night, Mexican dinner with entertainment, sea food night, etc, for which you have to pay extra. We went to the disco night and it was a fun experience.
What purpose do people travel to Maldives with? First of all they want to see the rich underwater fishes and animals of the ocean, submerged plants, corals. Secondly, they want to swim in clean crystal ocean water and thirdly, to lie on the white coral sand. There is all of this on the island Meedhupparu. Main: we recommend everybody to go to Meedhupparu.
And all of the rest disadvantages and lacks are unimportant and secondary, but tourists should know about them: 1. The day of arrival and the day of departure are lost completely because of the bad transfer (there is no the timetable of planes). We'd waited the plane for 6 hours in the airport in Мale. And at the day of the departure we managed to be in the plane only at 4 p.m., instead of 2.45 p.m. 2. On the island is different time. An hour more than in Male. We lost breakfast because of this. 3. The number of bungalow unpredictable. You can be located in houses ## 251-315 are the best. They have their own good gardens and beaches and good entering the sea. Few disadvantages of our staying of the island Meedhupparu: Reception service is not good. The telephone in our room didn't work, though we asked to repair it. Buffet is varied (various), but there is very few fish and seafood and fruits. Fresh juices only for money. But these all are not main things.
The room was nice, with outdoor shower
Access to the sea - on the half of the island you don't have a beach, you have to take the stairs to the water; a lot of tourists - there is not a long white empty beach as you expect from Maldives and what you can sea on Maldivian pictures; the waiters were not very observant - we wait a long time for a waiter to come in a empty restaurant and when nobody comes we had to go to the bar to order something to drink; very expensive trips - the value is much lower than the price
Friendly staff, beautiful beach, good service.
Sea plane could only be arranged by the resort and they don't give you a time. I had to wait in Male for transfer to the island for 6 hours. I asked the ticketing and was told if I arranged the flight myself they could have taken me there earlier?? At the end of the holidays we were told to catch the seaplane at 7.45 when our flight from Male was at 13.30. All other guests were forced to depart the island very early. Everyone was complaining in Male Airport as we could have left the island at 10.30 Am instead of being rushed. Food was repetitive. It seemed like left over fish, chicken and meat was recooked in curry or other sauces and reintroduced as new dish. No free wi-fi. Even if we purchased a card it could only be used in the lobby or the main bar and it was a poor connection. 8% service charge? It was added on to everything. We are already paying astronomical prices and shouldn't be paying service charge on top of it all. It seemed like they were paying their staff's already low wages with the service charges???
In two words - tropical paradise. If you want great value hotels - this is your Maldivian choice. The island itself is in the Raa atoll which has very few tourist location so you would have an undisturbed vacation. The beach villas are very roomy, very clean and with great view (there are some issues regarding the sea wall but for that see the end of the review). The staff is more than friendly - I can honestly say I've made some good friends amongst them. They would always great you and help you with all of your needs - the waiters would often bring you items you need even before you ask for them. They often speak several languages freely, so no matter where you've from - you'll get by. The food is plentiful and very tasty. There is one thing that is sure - bring clothes one size up because you will need them when you leave the island. The beach on the north side of the island is amazing - white sandy beaches with great snorkeling opportunities (great corals and great variety of tropical fishes). The north side would also have the bars (beach and pool) which were very discrete (not noisy at all and hidden amid the vegetation). On the north peer you can observe quite a view every night when they feed the fishes. Now just as a note (this is not negative, just good to know). - the transfer to the island (by sea plane from Male) is usually until 6p.m. the latest. If you have the option to choose your flights to land earlier - it's good idea to do so. However, should not have that option - have no worries - you'd be transferred at no cost overnight to a closer Adaaran hotel of the same value and the morning - transferred to Meedhupparu. - a lot of people complain about the sea wall situated mainly on the south side of the island. By reading other reviews we were prepared to complain about it once we were placed in a Villa there. However, just after spending one night there we retracted our plea for transfer to the north side.
When I was disappointed & requested to leave they did all their best to make me feel better, the staff were very helpful, they give me special treatment, everyone asks if I need anything or any food. The Island manager (Nacho) was the best of them. Although the best of the hotel was less than my expectation, but I appreciated that they did their best to make my stay enjoyable.
I requested a double bed, I got 2 singles beside each others, one of them was broken, the baby cot was broken as well, the food in the buffet was tasteless, one of the staff was rude, all inclusive is just a scam, you have to pay for fresh juice, seafood, parties, how is it all inclusive ? Towels & linen are not old & their color have changed from white to grey !
The staff was very friendly, The island was beautiful.
Poor entertainment. Food was not always the best quality,
Great location and good staff
Food variety , entertainment .
The staff are really friendly and good at their jobs, the location is super, the food is excellent, Chef Guru ensures that everything is top class, you won't go hungry here! it is also a genuine 'All inclusive'. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and will return next year.
I can't think of anything to say against this place!
loved the friendlyness of the staff, the cleanness of our room, the closeness to the beach, the food, the drinks & the overall resort
breakfast could of been on for a little longer as we struggled to get there before 9.30am cause the bed was to comfy to get out of.
Everything was nice and relaxing.
Staff need to give more and clear explanations about the all inclusive package.
Food could be better
