We had a great time in Thoddoo and our stay was part of it !The garden was beautiful. The bed was not too hard and not too soft. The sheets were cotton. We used the clothing lines behind the room. I couldn’t hear the call to the prayer at 5:00 (unless I was already awake). The bikes were not bad ! You just have to be choosy. If your neighbors are quiet, there is no issue with noise. The ac and fridge were quiet. And last but not least we appreciated the friendliness and warmth of Lookman.

This is exactly the type of accommodation that will be remembered for life because it has that perfect mix of beauty, comfort and hospitality. At the center of it all is the host Shifau. He's super kind and welcoming and sooo laid back. You will immediately slow down and relax like never before. The day starts with a breakfast of your choice - we opted for Maldivian every day and the mas huni (prepared by Shifau's mother) was so tasty and nutritious that you forget about being hungry for the rest of the day. The room is large with good air-con (we appreciated the low-noise mode at night). The bed is comfortable and perfect after a whole day at the beach snorkeling. The garden surrounding the villa is fantastic and there is also a terrace upstairs to relax in the evening. Imho location is also great, as it's close to the western beautiful side of the island and you can easily reach the 2 bikini beaches through lush plantations and coconut groves. We initially thought bicycles are needed (and Shifau can organize some for you), but in the end we walked everywhere because that's so enjoyable as there is always something to observe. We also opted for one dinner at the beach. Shifau and his team can organize it for you and we thought it's a magical experience: you will enjoy good food, barefoot, while watching the sun go down.

If you plan on staying in Thoddoo, I definitely recommend Chillax. The hotel is situated in the center of the island with a 15 minute walk to either of the two Bikini beaches. The rooms are cleaned everyday, fresh towels and bedsheets are provided every 2-3 days. The staff is friendly and ready to help if you need anything (you can borrow bicycles, snorkeling equipment, beach towels). Food was delicious but be sure to be at breakfast/lunch/dinner on time because it disappears fast :D We had a great vacation here.

Staff was nice. But most of the time no one is available at the hotel unless called. Food was good at the terrace. Local person we met at first day was very nice.
