Very good beach close to the room quiet and relax totally separate from the city like a privet island high recommended !!

It takes a while to get there but it is worth it. There was a lot of sea grass on the beach but that was not their fault it is from global warming.
The staff was great. The place is beautiful. Hopefully we will be back someday.

Bed was very hard, no access to laundry nearby.
Great beach front

Not bad experience really, but the hotel owner could be nicer and support guests always. We had booked a massage and had to change the time of it and hotel owner was kind of mad about it.
The area is absolutely beautiful wonderful for snorkeling, visiting the natural reserve a few minutes away, walking in the beach, and just enjoying the great Mexican Caribbean sea. The hotel is very nice, comfortable and the rooms are great. It is fairly new. The cuisine is excellent.

The trees and shrubs on the beach need to be pruned. The chef has a very heavy hand with salt and needs to lighten up.
The room was lovely, beautifully designed for romance and making you feel as though you've found a remote hideaway. The young owners are a welcoming and gracious Italian couple.

Instant coffee for breakfast - although you could order espresso for extra. Everything else great.
Location right on the beach. Hammock to swing in outside. Great, friendly staff. Good restaurant, happily made veggie stuff for me as nothing much on the menu, nice hot shower. Everything you need for a quiet, relaxing stay. Hired snorkel and fins at hotel.

The beach is small and was thick with red seaweed as were all the beaches. Seasonal perhaps, but no effort to clean it daily. The Beaches here are not as pretty as Tulum where you can walk and walk. No walking as the beach is as wide as the hotel and closed off with rocks and debris. The food at the hotel was not very good but then nothing we tried at any restaurant was very good. Not a whole pescado frito any where to be found!
The hotel and rooms are all minimally chic and have great views of the sea.Very nicely done hotel. Nice price point too.Far enough away from the cruisers in Mahahual that appear daily off the ships and are seemingly there to drink and tan.

Food choices and quality not consistent with accommodations which is a great problem because of relative isolation of the property

# bedding not comfy, matress being of very basic quality i.e. too stiff # no fresh fruit juices for breakfast # breakfast is served too late i.e. starting @ 08:00 AM and if you arrive sooner, they do not let you in and you have to wait outside the lounge # have been sick eating the hamburger. Not the right place to eat meat actually... # not possible to pay w/ credit card
# nice front beach # good snorkeling spot # nice staff # food menu is OK (except burger)

That we only stayed one night...
For us there was nothing that we did not like. We loved the Hotel, great staff, great Owners, great food, great location, and the beach is beyond perfect! We asked to have dinner served on the terrace of the room and they didn't even hesitate to accommodate our request. Even the distance from the town made it all that much better. We can't wait to go back.

Beautiful quiet location on a private beach. Great service, excellent helpful staff. Visited many places in Quintana Roo area and this was the best. Rooms were nice and comfortable with a walkout to the beach. Great value. Andreas and Monica are terrific hosts.

The location was beautiful And we would have loved to stay longer. The rooms are prices reasonably, but the food was more expensive than expected. And they don't take credit cards which is a bummer If it's hard to get cash in the area.

the breakfast was a disappointment
beautiful location and hotel

One day the hotel was crowded by people coming from a cruise ship - day tour for them but they occupied all spaces at the private beach of the hotel
Lovely quiet place at the beach

The owner also sold "day access" to his hotel to the nearby cruise ships when they docked at Mahahual. They took over the best beach lay out spots, traveled in large groups so took over the dining area, and have a different vibe than the hotel guests. Also, the food was just good, not great.
The location was remote and isolated, which is what we wanted. The best part is definitely the setting.
