Hotel America Centro  

Central location very good near main Plaza. Staff friendly and helpful. Pleasant courtyard for breakfast. Free Internet. Free parking.

Parking about 400 metres from hotel. Drop off and pick up not easy as in busy street.

The hotel has a perfect location for exploring the city. It looks very nice, in perfect colonial style. With a central courtyard where you can have breakfast. We stayed for one night.

The staff did not give us much information. The room was small and with a small inner window. The bed was very small. The breakfast was lacking. Only yogurt and fruit, or you could order the a bigger breakfast .....paying

Very quaint, clean and appealing. Very close to downtown square, shopping and restaurants. Not fancy but a great place to stay.

Good location by the plaza. Nice city. Rooms clean. Nice personel, but not much english.

They ran out of breakfast and only had toast directly from the bag.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the locality of the hotel. I had a room in the rear and it was very quiet.

I requested that I be called in the morning--twice and someone put all the infiormation into the computer. But both times no one called. I also asked the second time that someone knock at my door. This wasn't done either and I was very rushed to get to the airport. This was very annoying.

Location

Recepcionist try to cheat us with exchange rates. Prices are in dolars on the web and we only can pay in pesos, with an exchange rate really bad...We asked about paying with card thinking we would pay in dollars, and we pay in pesos, ...

Old World atmosphere, center courtyard, large room and balcony looking out onto street. Use of computer and continental breakfast.

The staff, the location.

Not enough electric plugs and had to go into hallway to get wifi to work. Wish the breakfast had at least one low carb option like hard boiled eggs or something like that.

the included breakfast was unsatisfactory - BIMBO bread, styroform cups plastic spoons, nestcafe. no recyling of garbage - a major issue in Campeche. I had been at the climate change conference in Cancun where there had been some attempt to recycle. Unfortunately often the recycling ends up reassembled and takrn to the dump where people sort garbage under inhumane conditions. I was assured that in the near future there would be a proper kitchen and breakfast Also the price quoted on my registration e-mail was misleading because it did not include taxes but indicated thaat ther might be extra costs such aa for an extra bed. Taxes are more than a minor extra cost.
