Hotel America Centro  

The hotel is very well located , a block from the Zocalo and not far from the Malecon . The courtyard is lovely , the building itself also . The room was spacious and had three beds .

The staff was uninterested and as my Spanish is basic whenever I asked to repeat I go a shrug and Ok . Never knowing what the question what the question was in the firstplace .

Hotel America Centro is in an historic building in the historic district of Campeche. A good location.

My 3-day reservation was to include a 'buffet breakfast each day', but none was included, only a breakfast menu containing prices. There is no elevator so you need to carry your luggage up to your room. WiFi was not accessible in my air-conditioned room #110, only in the non-air- conditioned public spaces. The hotel contains much marble and hard surfaces which echoed all sound into my room, and it was often so noisy up until nearly midnight that I had to use earplugs to try to sleep. The hotel lost power my last night there around midnight and it was not restored till around 9:00 am next morning so I had no ac my last night. The room was large but had an institutional feel to it, no charm. For $58/night, I was not impressed but I was disappointed.

Very quaint, clean and appealing. Very close to downtown square, shopping and restaurants. Not fancy but a great place to stay.

Recepcionist try to cheat us with exchange rates. Prices are in dolars on the web and we only can pay in pesos, with an exchange rate really bad...We asked about paying with card thinking we would pay in dollars, and we pay in pesos, ...

Defekte Klimaanlage

- die Lage - Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und bemüht (ausnahme: Frühstück)

- der bewachte Parkplatz, der zum Hotel gehören sollte, war nicht nutzbar - das Zimmer war muffig - die Internetrechner waren ausgefallen - das im Übernachtungspreis enthaltene Frühstück war minimal (nur Weissbrot und Marmelade) und das Personal überlastet

La ubicación es muy buena y el edificio es cómodo y bonito

En el baño no puedes echar los papeles al excusado por que se tapa. La regadera no es del todo cómoda

Zentrale Lage, netter Innenhof.

Zimmer hatte nur Fenster zum Innenhof, direkt gegenüber der Rezeption. Man konnte alles mithören. Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht. Das Hotel macht bei booking.com falsche Angaben zur Bezahlung: in den Buchungskonditionen (und auch in der konkreten Buchung selbst) steht, dass die erste Nacht bereits zum Zeitpunkt der Buchung auf die Kreditkarte verrechnet wird, das trifft aber nicht zu. Das konnte ich allerdings erst zu Hause nachprüfen, vor Ort führte das zu sehr unangenehmen und peinlichen Diskussionen, da ich nicht doppelt bezahlen wollte.

La struttura è interessante, la stanza un po' anonima, ottimo comunque il rapporto qualità -prezzo. Belle tutte le aree comuni raccolte intorno al cortile.

Parcheggio distante dall'hotel, camera al secondo piano senza ascensore. Era praticamente impossibile regolare la temperatura della doccia, o bollente o fredda.

La ventana de la habitación no cierra bien y el ruido es excesivo, no hay insonorizadas. No hay forma de descansar por lo mismo. Las cabeceras de kas camas tienen unos cojines pegados en la pared que en la foto se ven muy monos (photoshop), pero en la realidad están sucios, llenos de polvo. El lavabo con hongos. No lo recomiendo a nadie.

La situation géographique.

Hotel extremement bruyant. Petit déjeuner compris dans le prix très sommaire et servi dans une salle sans fenêtre. Nous avions fait le choix de prendre le petit déjeuner payant, donc en terrasse. Serveur totalement absent (nous avons du commander auprès du cuisinier). Si le serveur s'adressait à nous c'était seulement pour nous rappeler que tout ce qu'on consommait sur cette terrasse était payant...il a dû nous le rappeler 3 ou 4 fois pendant le repas... Très désagréable. Dernier point: nous avons oublié notre appareil photo dans la salle des ordinateurs... Impossible de mettre la main dessus et l'hotel n'a même pas aidé à chercher ni a chercher à se renseigner auprès du personnel. Au contraire, il nous a bien précisé que c'était de notre faute à la limite "nous l'avons cherché".....départ sur une mauvaise note.
