I didn't feel what was offered was commensurate with the nightly rate.
Most of the staff were friendly, some were just there.

No air conditioning, salty showers
Right on the beach, our room was closest to it and had our own big balcony over loooking with table And hammock and 2 chairs. No one bothered us. 2 beds in room.

A bit pricey for the quality. The bathroom is semi-opened in the room so no privacy!
Very well located. Relaxing place on the beach. Friendly staff and good breakfast.

The location was fantastic. Unique elevated private cottages directly facing the beach. The sound of the waves and breezes were wonderful.

I've been to Hotel Amoreira several times over the years and I'm always amazed at the consistency and the abaility to maintain the same Paradise vibe. Something about the relaxed breakfasts, the festive colors in the rooms, the buildings being on stilts and thus right in the trees with the birds and the breezes. And the the staff are so warm and knowledgable. Contant smiles.

There isn't a phone available. If you want to ask for food delivery or a taxi and you haven't got a mobile, you can't...
All the staff is kind and polite. The location of the hotel is wonderful

Treehouse in the jungle on the beach feel, kitchen facilities, breakfast, peaceful atmosphere, ocean breezes, small intimate feel to the hotel (only 8 rooms).
March 25, 2015
It didn't bother me, but my friends wished that there was air conditioning in the rooms. The hotel also doesn't have a bar/restaurant, so you're on your own for food and drinks outside of the complimentary (and generous) provided breakfast.
The location was perfect - right on the most beautiful beach and a short walk to fantastic restaurants, bars, and shops. The staff was very helpful and sweet - everyone we met was lovely. The rooms were well decorated and larger than I expected.

The Amoreira is undoubtedly on the best part of the Tulum beach road with tonnes of superb restaurants immediately around it. The ocean front rooms were bliss with mosquito netting on all the windows meaning you can sleep with the windows open to the sound of the ocean and the sea breeze. Beach loungers plentiful, friendly staff, and a decent breakfast. All in all, sublime.

Nothing to report.
Location, design and breakfast was great.

The whole experience was great. Felt like we were staying in a tree house. The room was comfortable and clean. The location is just awesome, as the hotel is right on the beach. Although there's no a/c, there was no need at this time of year. The ocean breeze was enough. The staff are so nice and helpful. All in all, I would highly recommend it!

Only minor issue was the shower in te room was kind of hit or miss. Sometimes the pressure would be great and other times it would be much lower. All in all I would stay here again!
Gorgeous views; friendly staff; amazing beach breezes and comfortable bed; good location on tulum beaches within walking distance to great restaurants; bars; etc.

Apart from the location, the price you pay is too high for the facilities. Room is basically a wooden hut. The bathroom is very small, the room overall was very small.
Perfect location, you can listen to the sound of the waves all night, the room is literally 20 steps away from the beach (beach is beautiful) Very quiet at night, you can get a good night's sleep

the sound of the ocean, and the quiet location.
February 24, 2015
Shower water could be a little warmer.

Toilet Seat and Safe were broke when arrived. Had to get fixed, but staff was helpful and fixed that day. Asked for an extra pillow and that wasn't possible.
Great Location, Loved the Kitchen Facilities, made saving money on food really easy, which was needed more in Tulum than I would have thought.

No alcohol on premises.
Felt like we were in the jungle. One with nature.
February 19, 2015
Nothing really but there was no food or drink on site so had to go out for lunch. Communal kitchen for those that want to self cater-but we didn't.
amazing beach front, loads of comfy sun beds. Rooms better than looked on the photos. Loved the walkways and staircases - like a giant tree house. Hammocks outside rooms. Loads of space around the site. Close to places like Hartwood and Cass Jaguar - best restaurants around probably.
February 11, 2015
The absence of a bar where you can buy drinks.
Excellent locación, great room - although it's hot outside the rooms are very cool even without AC, spacious and beautiful beach.
February 10, 2015
The hotel provides no hospitality upon arrival and you need to seek out the staff for assistance. There is an opportunity to make this place a gem amongst the competition on the Tulum beach strip.
The location is prime and the room is comfortable and clean. Walking distance to fantastic cafes and bars. Private.

The wifi went down whilst we were there so we were without internet. I think a complimentary bike hire service would be a lovely addition to this lovely hotel.
Having previously stayed in Tulum, we chose Amoreira for its location at what I deem to be the best part of the beach. Whilst I cannot say that anywhere in Tulum is good value for money at Christmas/January time, I can say that this hotel was really wonderful and it helped that they gave a lovely spread of food for breakfast. The staff were excellent and helped us out with anything we needed, even allowing us to cook dinner in their kitchen. The room was fantastic, amazing bed. All in all a really great stay and we would go back.

Tab water salty and not much water pressure
Great location directly at the beach Very quiet Clean cozy rooms

nothing. we really enjoyed this part of our trip.
Tulum has certainly been discovered by the fashionistas. That certainly ups the game a bit... nice places to stay, good drinks, good eats, good coffee. But, along with the pseudo-glitterati comes the 'tude... the feel of being at, like, newyorkshottestnewclub or whatever. Amoreira is right in the thick of things, right down the way from the snazzy new bars and restaurants that (not kidding) have roped off entrances... that's great since you can enjoy those places... but then retire to Amoreira, which maintains the Gilligan's island feel of a secret beach hideaway. Super-duper!

Can't say enough great things about this hotel. The staff is incredible, location is perfect (lovely beach, 2 minute walk from hotspots like Hartwood, Gitano, Coqui Coqui, etc.) and right in the middle of everything. Will be staying here on all future trips back!! Comfortable bed, beautiful view, great breakfast spread, perfect location, literally nothing to add to my "negatives" list.

The staff were so welcoming and accommodating and I would defiantly stay here again. The rooms were a good size, very clean and the bed comfy. Great restaurants in waking distance and the breakfast included in the accomodation was delicious
