Amazing view, the beach, the wind, the romantic setting, very eco-friendly. We hope we will go again!
Sleeping under the mosquito net can get too hot, long stays may be difficult for those that need a lot of conforts.
Honeymoon room is beautiful but a bit too hot in August. Nonetheless, I would not change, as it is very spacious and with overwhelming views to the ocean as to the Jungle!
Loved the location and quaintness of the hotel and the beautiful beach and quality of the rooms. Breakfast was very good and offered a great variety of fruits and excellent coffee.
I didn't like staying in Room 1 (jungle view) which is at the busy intersection of two walkways which provides absolutely no privacy. People walking by during the day/night can easily look into your room, hear your conversations, etc. Another annoying fact is there is a floodlight that shines right in the room at night and makes it very difficult to sleep. I wouldn't stay here again unless it was in a private room with beach view with the ocean breezes. It's hard to relax and enjoy the evening in your room when its dreadfully hot/humid and you can see and hear people walking by. I was tempted to sleep downstairs in a hammock because it was so hot. (and I live in Florida where heat/humid is common most of the year, but this was miserable!)
My wife and I loved how close Hotel Amoriera is to the beach. The Tree Houses are literally right on the beach which is nice because you get the sea breeze which means it stays cooler. The beach itself is beautiful and so is the property. The rooms are made up very nicely.
We went in the middle of summer so it was extremely hot even with the sea breeze. If you struggle with the heat, not having air conditioning will be tough. My wife and I found it hard to sleep on the first night but we did get used to it.
The fact that there is no real door between the room and the bathroom/toilet. For the shower it's ok, specially since it's a holiday place, but a bit of privacy when we go to the toilet would be great
Awesome location on the beach. Rooms other than the "honeymoon suite" may be much better and based on their location, probably are a lot cooler. The included breakfast is nice and includes a variety of foods. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The building is on stilts so under the building is a large area of cool shade to eat breakfast, etc. You are super near La Zebra, Quoqui Quoqui, Ahau, Secret Garden, etc etc. It's not expensive.
There is absolutely no services during the day, and alcohol is not allowed in the common areas. DO NOT BOOK THE "HONEYMOON" SUITE UNLESS: * You like hiking 70ft into the air up a narrow staircase built on the outside of a large thatched roof * You like sleeping in a little badly appointed room formed in the top nook of a thatch roof that traps all the heat rising up from the large common room below * You like having little bits of wood falling on you all night from the critters living in the thatch * You won't be frustrated by badly designed and installed doors that don't fully open, thus not allowing the ocean breeze to cool the room * You love barely having enough light to see by at night
Our stay was relaxing, lovely location with proximity to whatever we wanted to do, all our needs met, perfect!
The location is amazing, it's right on the beach. We had a room with a private balcony and hammock, looking over the beach and ocean. The help-yourself breakfast is really tasty. We felt like we were in paradise.
This is an excelent choice for a solo traveler. Calm, safe, spotless. Rooms are spacious and the ones facing the sea benefit from a the wonderful breeze.
The construction next door is a bit bothering since they keep working past 10 pm. Ask for a room facing the sea front.
The location, on the beach (I recommend to take one of the room with ocean view)
No restaurant on site
A very pretty place for relaxing. The beautiful white beach is direct on the door. But the rooms are still surrounded by palms, perfect. You are getting immediately caribbean feeling and appreciate this place. The breakfast is very good and other restaurants are close by. We will come back!
The fan should have more power or installing an A/C.
The location was perfect, the grounds were very nice and well kept. The staff was also very friendly. The WiFi worked good.
While having the community fridge was nice you couldn't keep alcohol in it (the hotel is regulated and could get cited). It wasn't that big of a deal but I thought by stashing some cocktails in the fridge I could save some money, instead any time I felt like a beverage I had to go to one of the beach clubs ( where drinks address pricey!)
Small cute hotel, nice beach, helpful staff, good breakfast
Our room number 4 was with the beach view and the sea was very rough so i couldn't sleep because of the terrible noise of the wind opening and closing the windows that would not lock. So for the people who enjoy silent nights the garden view rooms could be a better option.
Very relaxing atmosphere and a wonderful beach, it could not be better; salty showers were great for the skin! Would stay there again, and thanks for the great, layed back service:)
The Hotel is directly on his fantastic and private beach.
Very fantastic room directly on the beach (really)!!! The best place in Tulum!
Excellent place to relax. Friendly stuff, beautiful view from the room.
great beach, great place! lovely breakfast!
you´re not allowed to store beer or any alcohol in the fridge - that´s strange. I undestand they don´t want drinking orgys - but a beer?! come on!
This place is paradise. Rooms are on the beach, Staff is fantastic i.e. really helpful and friendly
Loved the tree hut style shacks and how close we were to the beach and cute restaurants.
No bikes at the hotel
Tulum has a great beach, hotel (in fact more a B&B) nicely located. Nice sun beds provided.
As more a B&B place, no restaurant facilities at Hotel. Simple breakfast buffet, help yourself, set up table, clean table etc. No Hotel service provides beside cleaning rooms during the day. For lunch or dinner you can cook (cleaning up yourself) or visit some beach restaurants (5-10mins walking) Last but not least, next door you have a Hippie camping site….
Beautiful beach spot, very relaxing. Rooms very clean and well looked after .
Lovely place for the price
Very quiet, ecological, inside the green and the sun on the beach So good
very, very difficult to hear the sweet music of the waves when the sun rises ... So good
