The location is superb. One step away from the most beautiful beach in mexico. The room is ideal. Decorated with excuisite taste one could no task off more. There is warm water (wh inch in tulum is a bonus) the water is slightly salty, but in the middle of mature one must be grateful for having such facilities. It is quiet and clean. Breakfast is eccellente With ample choice for sweet le savoury. It is advertised as 3 stata but having stayed in 4/5 stats before this comes very close. Wonderful!!
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Nice location by the ocean. Nice facilities.
The room we had was the family garden view room. There was a noisy generator in the property next door that kept us awake at night. After complaining, the staff moved us to another room (ocean front) and it was fine. We were lucky that other rooms were available, though.
great location, excellent staff helped with everything including car rental, journey from the airport and suggesting not so touristic places where to go and what to see there - thank you Victoria and Mayumi!
Very good location (directly at the beach), large nicely decorated rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff.
Very nice place to stay. Good and adequate staff, big territory (to compare with other hotels), silence and great sea
salt water in shower
almost a tree house, we had like 10m to the beach from our room. and if thats to far, there is always a hammock near you. you are close to nature and all the wildlife. unbelievably friendly staff. ideal to spend some relaxed time on a beautiful beach when you hate luxury resorts and air cond
Loved this hotel for it's authenticity. It was very clean and just a few steps from the amaxing crack. The staff were friendly and tulum is paradise
The humiry made everything sticky and there wasn't much water pressure but the place was so nice if definitely go again
We ha da fantastic stay!!! A small Hotel with only a few cabanas, on a dream beach with a personal, kind and non staged service. This is for people who want to stay in an individualistic and personal environment. I would stay there again ;-)
The location was fantastic, the tilt-houses were perfectly blending in the jungle, it was very private and quite. We were in low season and we had the beach for ourselves, sometimes I had the feeling we are on an island. Great and helpful staff, good breakfast, beautiful beach. We had the opportunity to see a Green Turtle right on our beach, heading back to the ocean after laying the eggs. We loved it so much that we spent double time than we planned initially...
Very quite, relaxt, and romantic place, beautiful beach, nice room with natural ventilation by a constant sea breeze
great location, friendly stuff, really clean rooms, lots of facilities available for guests use free of charge (hammocks, kayaks, kitchen facilities, etc).
nothing. would come back there tomorrow if i onlu could!
Absolutely lovely hotel. We had to leave early as my wife's asthma was triggered by the humidity, but they couldn't have been better in terms of sorting it out. Beautiful location on the beach.
Stayed 5 days, saw most of the other hotels in area, nothing holds a candle to this place. It's like a big tree house with luxury. I liked that it wasn't a hut. It had a door and windows to lock. Beautiful inside decor. All fantastic.
There was nothing I really do liked about this place, aside from having to leave. I plan to visit here again soon.
The hotel was very cool and had a great, relaxed vibe to it. The beach was beautiful and the breakfast really nice. The fullly equiepped kitchen was nice and we used it for lunch and dinner some days (Tulum is an expensive place)
You cant buy any food or drinks at the hotel, so you have to go to the supermarket. You are also not allowed to drink alcohol in the public places of the hotel because of mexican law.
LOVE the staff
Prices go to high on high season
Amazing view, the beach, the wind, the romantic setting, very eco-friendly. We hope we will go again!
Sleeping under the mosquito net can get too hot, long stays may be difficult for those that need a lot of conforts.
Honeymoon room is beautiful but a bit too hot in August. Nonetheless, I would not change, as it is very spacious and with overwhelming views to the ocean as to the Jungle!
Loved the location and quaintness of the hotel and the beautiful beach and quality of the rooms. Breakfast was very good and offered a great variety of fruits and excellent coffee.
I didn't like staying in Room 1 (jungle view) which is at the busy intersection of two walkways which provides absolutely no privacy. People walking by during the day/night can easily look into your room, hear your conversations, etc. Another annoying fact is there is a floodlight that shines right in the room at night and makes it very difficult to sleep. I wouldn't stay here again unless it was in a private room with beach view with the ocean breezes. It's hard to relax and enjoy the evening in your room when its dreadfully hot/humid and you can see and hear people walking by. I was tempted to sleep downstairs in a hammock because it was so hot. (and I live in Florida where heat/humid is common most of the year, but this was miserable!)
My wife and I loved how close Hotel Amoriera is to the beach. The Tree Houses are literally right on the beach which is nice because you get the sea breeze which means it stays cooler. The beach itself is beautiful and so is the property. The rooms are made up very nicely.
We went in the middle of summer so it was extremely hot even with the sea breeze. If you struggle with the heat, not having air conditioning will be tough. My wife and I found it hard to sleep on the first night but we did get used to it.
The fact that there is no real door between the room and the bathroom/toilet. For the shower it's ok, specially since it's a holiday place, but a bit of privacy when we go to the toilet would be great
Awesome location on the beach. Rooms other than the "honeymoon suite" may be much better and based on their location, probably are a lot cooler. The included breakfast is nice and includes a variety of foods. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The building is on stilts so under the building is a large area of cool shade to eat breakfast, etc. You are super near La Zebra, Quoqui Quoqui, Ahau, Secret Garden, etc etc. It's not expensive.
There is absolutely no services during the day, and alcohol is not allowed in the common areas. DO NOT BOOK THE "HONEYMOON" SUITE UNLESS: * You like hiking 70ft into the air up a narrow staircase built on the outside of a large thatched roof * You like sleeping in a little badly appointed room formed in the top nook of a thatch roof that traps all the heat rising up from the large common room below * You like having little bits of wood falling on you all night from the critters living in the thatch * You won't be frustrated by badly designed and installed doors that don't fully open, thus not allowing the ocean breeze to cool the room * You love barely having enough light to see by at night
Our stay was relaxing, lovely location with proximity to whatever we wanted to do, all our needs met, perfect!
The location is amazing, it's right on the beach. We had a room with a private balcony and hammock, looking over the beach and ocean. The help-yourself breakfast is really tasty. We felt like we were in paradise.
This is an excelent choice for a solo traveler. Calm, safe, spotless. Rooms are spacious and the ones facing the sea benefit from a the wonderful breeze.
The construction next door is a bit bothering since they keep working past 10 pm. Ask for a room facing the sea front.
