Nice décor, nice view, comfortable
Expensive for what it is
The Historical character of the hotel and the staff. The owner was also very nice and most helpful. Would stay here again.
A room with a fabulous view of this wonderful city. Free parking.
Location next to downtown
Parking is tight (same as parking in surrounding hotels) and church bells rang from 6am every 15 minutes.
Staff Location Ambience
Colorful rooms with Mexican accents. large walk in shower. Nice staff, but a few did not speak very much English, which made it difficult for us monolingual U.S.-ers. Very nice balcony outside our room. The Wi-Fi was fine if you kept your door open and were near the hallway - thick walls and tile floors reduce the Wi-Fi availability.
Our room was on the street side, so very noisy traffic and a very loud bar across street that played music until midnight. The double doors to the balcony cut down much of the noise, but let in no fresh air, with no overhead fan or A/C. Get ear plugs if you get a room on that side of the building.
Our room was spacious and the view was beautiful. Everything was clean and comfortable and the cleaning service was excellent
Overpriced for what the hotel offers. Had to call reception due to no hot water, after 20 minutes and after running the sink water, we finally had hot water. Bed/mattress very uncomfortable. Would not stay here again.
The hotel is beautiful and so was our room. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient, if not very knowleadgeable.
Breakfast starts at 8:30, which though not unusual in this part of the world is very late for us. On one of the days the breakfast started even later, not until we had gone to reception to complain about it. The staff's recommendation of a local restaurant was very bad, we later found excellent restaurants very close by that clearly the staff did not know about.
Incredibly beautiful property with heart-stopping views! Wonderfully located, private parking lot -- which is very important in Guanajuato. Safe, incredibly clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, spacious room. Probably the nicest boutique hotel I have stayed at in North and South America and Europe. A treasure of a find! Highly recommend!
Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at times. But that was only a minor issue.
Location within walking distance of the heart of the City
A bit pricey for a hotel without HVAC and other amenities
Location, room decor, clean, easy access to restaurants and shopping
Limited restaurant available on site, very little English spoken by staff, low standard pillows.
Wonderful view. Get Tortolas room.
Not in hotel's control. Dogs barking and bells ringing.
It was very cold when we were there, 6 degrees at night with no heat in the room and we were freezing. We got a heater the next night but only after asking. The website mentions hottub and outside patio as part of the facilities but the "hottub" is a bathtub in one of the rooms and should not be classed as a facility. The outdoor patio where they show people sitting enjoying the view( one of the reasons we booked) on their website does not in fact have any furniture so you can't sit there. We ran into problems with a hotel booking in the next town we were visiting and the breakfast cook who had finished his shift was extremely helpful. I think his name was Jose.
Staff, room was large
wi-fi signal was spotty
Preciosos hotel, atenciòn excelente!
The layout of the hotel is fun. The view. The room was great.
No hot water in morning or evening. Bad internet connection
Beautiful sensitively converted old building in great location and some rooms with fabulous view. Very useful onsite parking. Lovely staff.
The hotel was beautiful; I liked the Mexican decoration and it was very clean. I loved the room. The hotel is in downtown so it is great to walk near. It is one of the few hotels that has parking lot so that is great if you come driving to Guanajuato. The staff was very warm with us.
The parking lot is very small. The hotel is a little bit expensive since it doesn't have heather nor air conditionair nor fan. One night I was very cold and the second nigh I was very hot, I couldn't sleep much for that reason. The restaurant only opens in the morning.
