The location of the hotel is good, just walking distance from two shopping plazas, one on either side of the hotel. No opening to the beach is the minus point of this hotel. |

I had a studio room, and it was clean and big, with a balcony facing the ocean. It was quite easy to get around, since there is a taxi and bus stop next to it. There is also a small shopping mall and a few restaurants across the street, and a bigger shopping mall a few hundred meters away. In the shopping mall across the street there is a travel agency that offer excursions (e.g. to Chichen Itza) much cheaper than the guy sitting in the hotel lobby. They quote the price in dollars, but when you pay they convert it to pesos using a bad exchange rate, making it more expensive than you think it is. Also, the A/C was a little bit too effective. It was too cold having it turned on, so I ended up not using it. I was there during low season, so it was quiet, but I can imaging it can be quite noisy if there are lot of guests staying at the hotel, since the sound proofing was quite poor. I could hear my the people next door quite well when they were talking or watching TV. The room also could need a few more lamps, since it was quite dark in the evening, even with all the lights turned on. |
