Not a five star resort, just a good, clean budget hotel for senior citizens like myself. Not really recommended for younger folks with kids. On-site restaurant serves basic fare. O.K. on price.
Wish they had an ice machine for guests to use at any time. Having to get ice from the restaurant is not hard to do, but then you can only get it when the restaurant is open.
Location - location- location
Martin on the front desk was so helpful and friendly we really enjoyed our stay!! Thank you
This a great location for walking on the malecon or on the beach. The hotel Playa Mazatlan is just across the street and the very good restaurant, Panchos is just a block away. Breakfast in the hotel is good.
Parking, and getting in and out of the parking lot can be tricky. The Zona Dorada (Golden Zone) has deteriorated significantly. The hotel is quite distant from Centro (Downtown) and the marina areas which seem to be the most popular tourist areas.
The main thing I liked was that they allowed us to let our dog stay with us. She is a very good dog, she never barks and never makes a mess and she doesn't shed her hair. She has stayed with us there 5 times before without incident. I am so grateful that she is allowed to stay there.
Azteca Inn has made the decision to no longer allow pets. Now I have to find another place in Mazatlan to stay with our dog.
Nothing its a very old hotel.....
Location was great.
Parking is always very full. No extras like ironing board, microwave, or minifridge.
Close proximity to everything and safe.
No coffee maker and fridge
We always stay at the Azteca on our way south through Mexico, and on our return. Mazatlan is not our favourite city, but the Azteca and its staff always make the stay quite enjoyable.
Very comfortable, convenient hotel for our brief stay in the Gold Zone.
