On the beautiful beaches of Tulum and surrounded by lush vegetation, this charming hotel features a private beach area with spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea.

The hotel is very basic, in terms of facilities. There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel but there are plenty of options across the road. Our beachside cabana has a kitchen, a few items didn't work but we weren't to fussed. The location is amazing! We were staying somewhere nicer down the road but it was too far, so we decided to move, we found this place and extended our stay. Great value for money and group travelers. Get the beach side Cabana, so worth it!
Fridge didn't work, and fans weren't very strong.
A breath-taking experience. You are literally on your own part of the beach, in a treehouse. Once-in-a-lifetime. I couldn't recommend this enough.
Can't really rate the property as we got there to check in - waited an hour and a half looking for someone to help us with no luck. We had to leave and found somewhere else to stay.
The beach was beautiful. Soft white sand, clean, lots of chairs.
Front desk attendant more interested in his cell phone than us. Outside of our cabana was dirty. Someone's old flip flops and trash from their food all over the ground by the hammock. Rustic room but ok. Worst problem was with power. Very hot with only a fan for cooling. Too many mosquitoes to open door. Power kept going on and off all night so fan kept going off.
The 6 person room was spacious. The beach pristine. Best location. Staff very respectful. A little shy at first. Planning to return next year.
Wifi could be a little better. Lights at night are a bit dim for my taste and the electricity is turned of early morning understandingly because it's an Eco friendly hotel.
Location just can't be beaten with the crashing waves at your doorstep.
Staff very unhelpful.was checked in by the maintenance man. Power went off every night so the fan which is the only way if cooling died. Had a local mouse in the thatched roof that would come down and take any food. Woke at midnight to see a packet if biscuits on the move.
The location can not be beat. It is on an amazingly beautiful beach.
I didn't have a problem with anything personally because I did a lot of research and have been to Tulum a few times before. This place should not be categorized as a hotel. This is very misleading. It is a series of very rustic cabins on the beach. Even in "luxury" hotels in Tulum, electricity is frequently down--so a visitor needs to be aware that there will be periods when lights, fans, the fridge, and wi-fi will not be working--and it's ususally when you want them most. Learn some Spanish and just be prepared to be laid back and take it easy and you will enjoy your stay.
WE ONLY STAYED 1 NIGHT BUT WISH WE WOULD HAVE STAYED LONGER, ITS A GREAT PLACE, WOULD DEFENETLY COME BACK IF THE RATE DROPPED A BIT.... JUST FELT THE RATE WAS TOO HIGH BUT HAD A GREAT TIME!!
Dorectly on the beach, amazing view from the terrace, very nice and helpful cleaning lady
Toilet was not a separate room (a bit uncomfortable), hard to get in touch with someone from reception (receptionist on call)
We stayed in the family cabin on the beach. My 9 and 11 yr old daughters loved the loft to sleep in and the hammock. Cabin was RIGHT on the ocean, maid did a great job. Perfect for a family with kids.
Mario, the property manager, was nice. Although he spoke NO ENGLISH. Nothing. Could not even suggest a place to eat. But i guess we should be the ones speaking spanish, not expecting him to speak english!
Can't beat the location and a comfy hammock :)
Terrible staff. Very poor reception. Room was smelly.
Unbeatable location, very charming surroundings.
Just a bit too pricey for what it is.
The location is unparralled. The staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Lunamielera, which is a free-standing bungalow, with beautiful views and a delightful ocean breeze. No need for a fan or mosquito net.
We wished there was coffee. Luckily this time we found a cute little coffee stand to get Americanos for $25 pesos. The man who runs it, Guillermo, was super to chat with. They also had pastries and croissants, so the lack of coffee was easily addressed.
We are residents of Mexico so we were able to bring more items to make our stay more enjoyable. Our room had a small refrigerator but we brought our own cooler for ice and beverages. Beach was well kept as were the lounge chairs and umbrellas. No coffee but there is a coffee shop 100 meters down the street with some of the best coffee we've ever had. Room was small but all we did is sleep there. Nice small patio with great view of the water which is 25 meters away! We will try to stay in one of the larger upstairs units next visit.
Bed was a little hard for my taste.
location to die for
the toilet broke -twice
This was an excellent last stay for our holiday. Time to wind down and relax. I have only rated the facilities as good as they do not have a bar or restaurant and as there are only a small number of accommodation units it would not be reasonable for them to provide such facilities and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance giving plenty of choice. This is a gem of a place and one we would like to return to.
Location right at the beach. Friendly staff
Neighbours too close. Could be noisy at time.
10 steps from your own beach. You can hear the waves all night and can watch the sunrise from your bed. It's a rustic bungalow, if you are looking for the Ritz don't stay here. If you want a private cool "tree fort" this is the place! We adored this lil slice of paradise.
Ocean front room was wonderful on one of the worlds most amazing beaches.
Nothing bad to report
Lovely rooms, right on the beach. Good location.
You can not beat the location and for the price...
Not a big deal but there are signs everywhere that you can't drink alcohol on the premises.
great beach, not many people, comfortable beach loungers
COCKROACHES! we also found a mouse and grasshopper. Very loud construction to wake you up at 7 am everyday. not relaxing at all. Selvamar cabin is very dark and small. Always afraid to step on some kind of critter. safety box does not work.
Tulum is incredible. The beach is perfect and you have all the privacy in the world in front of this hotel (as you do with all the hotels in this area)
1) Our cabaña had cockroaches everyday 2) We caught someone watching us changing in the morning!! 3) The hotel has an exceptionally loud wind generator that rund all through the night and is also situated across the road from a rather noisy bar. 4) There are parts of the hotel which have ugly dirty brickwork exposed
The location and the staff are amazing
The facilities (bathroom) need to be refurbished
If you are looking for a rustic, yet comfortable stay, this is your place. The rooms are very clean: no bugs or animals found anywhere in the room-so dont worry! This was the cleanest bungalow we have stayed in since we've been travelling to Tulum. Very attentive staff, and well patrolled at night.
