availabilty of services
Nature is all around , the jungle and the animals surround the premises and come up to the rooms. Food and drink plentiful and good quality. Nice pool and beach and activities.
Rooms should be redecorated, in our room 3116 bathroom sink broken, mirror rusty and damp patches on the ceiling, bathtub incredibly wide which makes it dangerous climbing in and out of the shower.
I like the food and property.
I did not like the staff and there was no 24 hours eating facility.
Loved the resort- Pools were great! Location is gorgeous. Food was great. Staff is VERY friendly and willing to help with anything. Overall, had an AMAZING time
The only bad thing was the beach...Its not clear, it looks more like a lake.
The facilities were comfortable.
The many problems we had during our stay. First, they gave us a room which had been given to other people. We were left in the corridor for an hour waiting for another room. Then, the lock didn´t work. Reception kept telling us they were understaffed and they would sort our problem out as soon as possible but it took over two hours. Also, on two consecutive days they forgot to service our room - we left at 10 am and came back at 8pm and had to call for the room to be cleaned.. waiting outside (once again!) Internet was a rip off! 2 dollars/day per additional device. The evening shows were pathetic; sound was poor, acting was worse! Food was OK but getting tables at the restaurants was very difficult although when arriving at the restaurants they would be half empty. Food was not often warm enough and waiters were in a real hurry to see customers leave. My advice: stay elsewhere!!
The pool is nice and the staff are friendly
You have to pay to use the gym and sauna which is $30 a day and the beach is being reconstructed so you're not really able to take long walks. Expensive please for those that want to be active. There was yoga on but none of the 3 people I spoke to could tell me where it when it was on - and nothing could be booked over the phone. The staff were very nice so this is more of a management issue.
The resort, staff and food.
Good gym, good drinks and friendly staff. Food was ok.
The "beach" was a dissapointment. The beach is man made with a lot of sand bags wrapped in plastic keeping the sand not to be eaten by the ocean. Once you step in to the murky water you realize that the bottom is muddy and with sharp stones. Don´t stay in this hotel if you are looking for a paradise beach.
I liked the setting of this hotel within the mangrove jungle, where you can spot some iguanas, various birds and funny animals serching for for food:) The price for all inclusive arrangement is also OK. The service of BD Travel personnel located in the lobby area was great.
Most of the things about resort is very far from 5-star rating. Service, attentiveness of the staff, quality of the facilities and food very average and in many cases extremely disappointing. Some of the experiences with this place can simply ruin all the positives you had elsewhere... Check-in: at check-in we were told that they don't have our booking and then we had to wait for 10-15 minutes until they found it. No excuses or explanations were given. When I asked what went wrong the answer was that "it was last minute booking", even though I booked the room via booking.com a day before in the morning. Transport: the lobby area is located on quite a distance (10-15 minutes walk) from the beach were most of the facilities are located including guest rooms. There are a couple of carts shuttling between the lobby area and the beach but not as frequent as we were told (15-30 min instead of 5-10 min, varies depending on which building you are going to). In many cases we had to walk, unless it is raining. But in such case the seats in the cart are wet anyway. Rooms were generally OK. There were no bathrobes and slippers in our room so when we asked for them we were told that these are only for VIP rooms... (though finally we managed to get bathrobe with the assistance of local consierge). In the evening if your room keys are not working (this happens quite often due humidity) there is no way to call to reception from your building unless you knock someone else's door. So you'll have to go back all the way to lobby (most probably walking) just to change the key. Imagine that you are also in the middle of the heavy rain and there is no cart coming for 20 minutes, so you just have to sit and wait. And if you are lucky to find someone from the staff with the radio, it will still take 40-50 minutes before your door gets fixed. Food is very average.
