They said they never received the booking.com reservation which then progressed to argument over amount to pay. Nicer places to stay
The location was lovely, right on beach. Rooms were spacious.
Didn't respect booking.com agreement when booking in which resulted in protracted negotiation. Changed room specifications despite my not wanting to change - sold as an upgrade but not wanted. Free wifi rarely worked. Restaurant was average.
Great staff, awesome breakfast, and you can rent bikes across the street!
- friendly and helpful employees - direct beach access and nice ocean view from the room - comfy bed - good breakfast
- WiFi wasn't working for days
Location on paradise beach in Tulum, spacious bedrooms, great breakfast, friendly staff, good value for money
Wifi only available in restaurant not in bedrooms
We got a fairly new cabana so the room was in good shape, the beds are excellent. The staff in the restaurant were super friendly. Best of all, they keep the beach in front of the hotel really clean (probably one of the best of all of the hotels)
The doors don't really close to the balcony (there is a small gap) so mosquitos get in during the night. Wifi is a bit unrealible
Los Lirios is a step up from the traditional cabana lodgings Tulum has offered through the years, but not as high end as some of the newer, uber-trendy boutique hotels. The result is a comfortable, relaxed and beautiful setting. There's no 'scene' here, although the 'hot' restaurants and bars are a very short walk down the beach road. The very clean rooms are directly on the beach and have A/C and modern bathrooms, which is great for those not into a total hippie backpack vibe. Each room has a private balcony or patio. There's also a full service restaurant on site with a good choice of food options. We stayed over New Year's and breakfast and dinner was included in our rate. Breakfast is a full buffet, very good. The week we went, Tulum was so crowded it was impossible to get into any of the cool restaurants without waiting for hours, so we ending up having dinner at the hotel too - which was a lifesaver. The wifi is only in the restaurant, which is good because it forces you to 'turn off'....that's what Tulum is all about, right? Highly recommend this hotel - worth the price, although it felt high when we booked it. Worth the money.
The hotel doesn't use solar power like many of the others on the beach - it runs a loud generator which ruins the vibe. Make sure your room isn't right next to it...it's by the road so just ensure you get a beachfront room. They should invest in an eco-friendly power source to preserve the ethos of Tulum.
the location is incredible, breakfast is for real
Proximity of cabanas to the beach. Ocean view. Hammock on the patio. Lovely beach
Terrible food other than breakfast.
- Direct access to the beach - Restaurant staff are really nice - Good breakfast
- There is no drinking water available for free! (cost 37M$ for 1L in hotel's restaurant). Not even a complimentary small bottle of mineral water in the rooms. - Since the only close place to eat and drink is the hotel's restaurant everything is extremely expensive. - We didn't see any special activities in the hotel, disappointing. - No water pressure in the shower head.
Location unbeatable Spacy rooms Great breakfast buffet Gorgious beach
Reception very poor
Everything was comfortable and pleasant and the staff were friendly and accommodating! The rooms are steps from the beach and have great views of the ocean - also was so spacious and the hammock on the deck is such a nice touch. Full control air condition unit too. The location of the hotel is great - right where you want to be in Tulum if wanting to avoid the "resort" scene as we did. The restaurant is standard but the staff is wonderful and the bar is just what you need. The staff serves you on the beach or pool as well. Very fresh. But also location is next to ziggy's which is upscale and gourmet and plenty of other restaurants and cantinas as well. Also close to town with tons of accommodations an restaurants. Would def recommend this place - it's not super chic like Ana y Jose or amansala but it's perfect for a wonderful experience on the tulum beach !!!
Service is good, the place is very quiet , ac in the rooms , nice small pool , nice beach. Recommendable 100%!!
Very sweet vibe. Views and amenities were the best. Going back for sure!
Wifi very restricted
Nice rooms all with good views Rooms were a good size with a nice sitting area. Bathroom was great large tubs Great location for access to restaurants either a beach walk away or short cab ride
Breakfast buffet was only average And lacked a decent bar for an evening drink.
Air conditioning Large parking
Our room was in a construction site. The color of the water in the swimming pool was scary.
The hotel manager was wonderful to rectify everything that had let us down on arrival. The staff were great, the location was perfect.
We booked a room for 4 x of us (2 adults + 2 children). When we arrived late at night, the room was set up for 2 x people. This was very disappointing after sending numerous emails to the booking agent in Cancun to ensure everything was arranged as requested. Would like booking.com to take this up, as the requests were passed on by your team to the booking office in Cancun who failed to pass on the requests to the hotel who knew nothing about it when we arrived, tired and exhausted.
Beautiful tulum beach that goes for miles.
We had an issue with booking.com they said the room was paid in full and non refundable. The hotel said we had not paid. So we wasted too much precious vacation time trying figure this out. It was very stressful
Nothing to complain about. Everything was nice
Great location, especially if only you need - the ocean, the sand and the sun. Good rooms ocean view.
Terrible breakfast. If it is the only meal I should pay for - I'm expecting that it will be as a minimum edible. We could eat there only eggs! All jucies are chemical, no fresh! Even no still water. The kitchen was not very good at all - very expensive and not tasty. The personal speaks English very bad. It is enough to check in/out, but if you want to ask something - it's better to use Spanish. There are a lot of hotels on this beach, I'm not recommending this one.
