Beds comfy with very fresh crisp bedding......free wifi.......lovely grounds...attentive staff......CNN in English. Honest people, left my iPad at hotel and they immediately sent it to me
No hot water at night for a shower
the building is beautiful and the room was great, once inside. The location of the hotel is good, within walking distance of the center of the town.
Pool was freezing cold, couldn't find the GYM, badly sign posted, staff were cold, when I asked, I was told my reservation included breakfast, then when we went for breakfast, the lad asked room number, only after we had eaten, were we told, we did not have breakfast included..
A recently rebuilt/refurbished hotel with everything maintained in immaculate condition. Reasonable off-centre location, half-hour walk to downtown area. Very nice swimming pool. Good breakfast service.
Quite expensive. For a hotel aiming at an international market the standard of English should be better. As usual with upmarket hotels, the WiFi is awkward and erratic.
Some friends could not go with us because of work. I ended up paying for their whole stay, 600.00 dollars they would not honor the concellation eventhough i t was done 3 months in advance. their cancellation fee is the whole fee. Taxes and all! even though I declined to accept the room.
The hotel and staff were good, no complaints here.
I had several people on my group cancel their vacation and the hotel refused to charge me a penalty fee - instead they charged me for the room for the intended amount of time. Yup, as if I was using the third room. I tried to cancel the room one month in advance and they didn't budge. I showed them copies of the emails back and forth and they didn't budge. So make sure when you reserve, that you are really going otherwise you are looking at your money going down the drain.
Location, breakfast buffet, parking
Too many stairs and was traveling with elders. I booked king bedroom and was not respected. Ask to relocate grandparents closer to the entrance and was not accommodated. Breakfast too expensive. The bed was sunken. There was a smell in the room.
Pool and fine dinning.
The friendliness and attention to detail from your staff, from the reception desk person to the waiters and facilities personnel.
The noise coming from the construction of the new wing of the hotel, on a pleasant Saturday afternoon. Not enough parking space by the reception area.
Staff was pleasant and helpful.
Value for the dollar. $20+ for a breakfast buffet is excessive as well as $200+ p/night given the size and quality of the room. Also, noise echoes from the halls into the rooms.
Located within walking distance to town but in a quieter area. Nice grounds and pool area but construction to add an addition has started. Great bar and excellent service there. The shower was nice and strong
Its trading on its old name and past glory . Towels feel and look like from the last century. The restaurant staff were friendly but kept forgetting things. The reception staff were snooty and we had to ask re WiFi in other words unless we asked it wasn't volunteered. They did arrange a car trip to San Miguel Allende but between them and the Travel company they got the date wrong. The room we had looked tired the bathroom counter was cracked and the sink had a big chip in it. Not a 5 star in my opinion. No one offered to open the mini bar not that we would have used it it was locked!!
over priced breakfast
