The only drawback is the location being outside of town, beyond comfortable walking distance.
The hotel is set back from the main road and though there is a little traffic noise it is not bothersome. The public areas, the room and the decor is lovely, not kitschy at all, more of a quiet elegance. My standard room was very spacious, decorated with a fireplace, chandelier large table and chairs, bathrobes, a good hairdryer and toiletries. The king size bed was very comfortable. It was on par with 5 star hotels I have stayed in, including touches like turn down service at night with candies on the bed. The room has coffee and water, US style outlets, clock radio with iPod capabilities. There is a pitcher of ice water and thermos of coffee in the lobby, fresh flowers, and an attendant with an umbrella to walk you to the car. I had a massage at the spa, which felt great after a long day of sightseeing. The restaurant and bar has a nice ambience and the food was decent. They have a shuttle to town that is very convenient. Everyone there is helpful and nice.
Because the town is so small, every driver knows every place. A taxi costs a few pesos to get anywhere in town.
