Can't wait to go back to Tulum and I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else! The location was fantastic, food was delicious and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend getting a beach front cabana as you get the most amazing view and the breeze keeps you cool at night.

Pizza was super, the beach is really nice

We were in the room that was next to the street.. it was really loud and also so hot that it was really hard to sleep well. Personal is nice but really slow ! English could be improved

The location is what I liked the most

The restaurant was not so good and it was very expensive. The menu was kind of limited too

nice staff right on the beach

generators cut off at weird times and too early in the night. Very little hot water in my cabana despite complaints

I would definitely stay here again. The staff was amazing, the beach pristine, rooms are charming and spacious, beds are comfortable, yoga classes also a plus. The restaurant overlooks the beach, ambiance there is just lovely and coffee is really good. Staff at the restaurant work really hard and really make you feel at home. Honestly can't think of anything negative to say. Traveled solo, always felt safe, had a ceiling fan and a portable fan, stayed in Gaia cabana which is closer to the road, but had no issues with noise, did keep windows closed at night but there are screens on every window, mosquitoes not an issue. Candles in room nice touch, as was the incense holder. Huge closet, bathroom was really big, and good housekeeping services. Would highly recommend it.

Cute place right on the beach. The staff was great, and Blanca made us feel right at home. Atmosphere was laid back and comfortable, so stress just falls away. Very neat and clean, even if the room had no frills. We got a bonus in that a new palapa roof was being put on a neighboring cabin, so we were able to watch the whole process. I'd certainly be happy to recommend it.

The weather was particularly hot and sticky when we were there, and even the locals said so. The lack of any a/c made sleeping a bit warm, but with the windows wide open it wasn't intolerable.

Upon arrival the staff greeted us and introduced themselves. The atmosphere was laid back and the staff really made you feel at home. Everyone was do sweet and friendly. The owner Karla was very gracious, introducing herself to patrons and gave us reccomendations on what to do/see, etc. The staff feels like family. Not stuffy and the grounds are beautifully kept. The restaurant has a nice variety of things to eat and they have a brick pizza oven. Also, The wifi was great and kept me connected. All in all, I would definitely return to Casa Violeta. Their attention to guests makes you feel welcome and that the most important thing when it comes to hospitality if you ask me. Thank you Karla and staff for the amazing stay.

If you are expecting to go to Tulum for rooms with air conditioning and expect no mosquitoes then don't go to Tulum... Go to Playa del Carmen. It was hot and we got a lot of bug bites but this was expected and part of the charm. Overall, the good outweighed the bad and i would do it all over again in a heart beat!

The staff here is absolutely the best! and beautiful in every way. The beach is gorgeous, the food is good, the music is great, and the drinks are fine. A fabulous place to unwind and enjoy life. We couldn't have been happier with our stay!

Our room was the farthest away and I could only get an internet connection in the bathroom - but so what? I only wanted it to download books.

Pros: 1. Fantastic beach location. 2. Easy to get to and find. 3. Good restaurant in the premises. 4. Small supermarket located right outside the hotel for cheap drinks and snacks. 5. Nicely designed rooms, very quaint. 6. Friendly staff with great customer service. 7. Private beach chairs/umbrellas and hammocks! 8. Steps away from the Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve... a must see!

Cons: 1. You must have an 'ocean-front' room so that the sea breeze cools you off at night. It gets very hot and there is no A/C. 2. 'Ocean-View' rooms are not on the ocean front and get minimal breeze, you will have some very sweaty nights. 3. Water pressure is very low and it only trickles out, budget a lot of time for showers/bathing. 4. If you need 'ammenities' (ie, wifi, internet, TV, A/C, etc.) then you will not find them here, but the same could be said for 95% of the places in Tulum. It is definitely, a RUSTIC getaway, but we enjoyed it thoroughly!

The restaurant was great and the staff there was extremely friendly, loved the laid back atmosphere and the food was really good

Wouldnt recommend staying in the rooms off the beach, we stayed in iris and had ants, sand crabs and a scorpion in the room that actually stung one of us ..loud generator right outside and staff working outside the window
