    Good location and nice rooms

Staff was spotty. Some were very nice. Others more rude. We were ignored by the waiter at breakfast for a week. I'm not sure why?

We could not breathe in the room due to the smell and dust mites; our allergy flared up severely. We had to divide up our family and half moved to a different hotel. Hotel Casa Virreyes continued to charge us for the entire group. Also, we were misled by the booking/confirmation email which stated that we would have two separate bedrooms in the suite. The suite does not have two separate bedrooms. The windows fail to block the noise and the exhaust emitted from cars on the street. We do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

very spacious room (also had a nice balcony), fantastic location in the middle of the city center, friendly staff. Compared to other hotels we stayed at in Guanajuato, excellent value for money!

    water warmed up very slow!

Great location. Facilities are all fine, no problem. Great value for the location and quality of the hotel.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing. And, off course, the noise... Well, but after all, it wasn't so bad. Between 10pm and 7am, there wasn't much noise and we had good night sleep.

This was my first time to Guanajuato, Mexico - and I was blown away! Wow - what an awesome city. This hotel location is great.

The staff didn't speak so there were a couple challenging moments in trying to find a tour guide - but they came through just fine

Great central location. Huge rooms, great beds. Bathrooms had huge tub. Charming rustic building with modern touches.

Continental breakfast could use a nice roll or pan dulce instead of plain white bread toast. Lots of church bells, but that is part of the charm of Guanajuato.

I loved all! My husband and I were surprised at how much we got for the value. We stayed 4 days and loved it. We got a room on the first floor. It had no view and was quite dark but since we were there to relax we preferred it. Our room was a mix of modern and very clean lines with a touch of hacienda with exposed brick and ceiling beams. The floors were real terracotta. We were in walking distance to everything. We old go anywhere pretty much at anytime and things were still open. This added to the Romance. Staff was very friendly and we were able to park our car about 10 min away at another Assocoated gated Hotel for free. We didn't need our car for the rest of our stay. The continental breakfast is light which we imagine is not ideal for everyone but we liked it because we usually ate heavier after our long walks. We loved the old/new architecture charm of the building. We had a very comfortable stay (the water is hot in the shower) we loved the service and we left with very beautiful unforgettable memories.

Church bells!!!! With all do respect, those were the worst. At one point the churches were throwing fire crackers. We were prepared for this however, since we realized that the city is deeply religious. Although this does not reflect poorly against the hotel itself.

    the location

Not nice at all. Very expensive for what it offers. Very noisy. very enclosed. Terrible breakfast, they give you frozen bananas instead of fresh bananas and a piece of toast. I will not go back.
