Score from 524 reviews Very good
-old fashioned - tear down building -no comfort: hard cushions, no blankets or duvet, old used towels... -No privacy -TV broken -Airco unit old fashioned not build in -Staff unprofessional, poorly stained -entertaining in the evening: very unprofessional bottom line : not worth price of 350$/night, rather 50$/night would be appropriate
The hotel is too expensive, and there are no activity, is for the Elderly not for young, also I stay in Cancun other one week but I changed the hotel.
the hotel manager was trying his best to make the most out of the hotel and the location was also good
I really don't know where to start... it almost ruined my vacation to the point that i wanted to checkout and loose the money i paid. First of all the hotel is very small, I understand that some people like small and quite boutique hotels but not when you're paying 300$ a night and the art crafts are not that good. Also it wasn't quite at all almost every day i was waking up by noise from the upper room and the bed was very uncomfortable, staff didn't even say hello when we were entering the hotel after a night out.. infact they don't even look at all. The room condition is very poor i was scared that the bed will fall or something will break because it seemed very old and needs maintenance. I saw that the hotel had a high rating and it went down from 600 to 300$ a night so i thought it would be good turned out to be the worst.
Made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Excellent staff and hotel.
Mustafa and his staff are wonderful and did everything/anything to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We felt a part of their family. The Casa Turquesa is a very special property with exquisite location, views and the bonus of museum quality artistic treasures. We will return one day.
We have zero negative comments.
The hotel exudes understated elegance from the extensive use of marble to the incredible works of art and the attentive, but not obtrusive staff, this boutique hotel is a gem.
Good location in the hotel zone. Very nice paintings and sculptures, all around. Nice staff Reasonable breakfast (paid) Reasonable wifi (free) Nice beach This small hotel is one of the few boutique hotels in the hotel zone and by the beach. If you don't like the giant all-inclusive hotels, and if you like some privacy with a reasonable comfort, you have to try it.
Location, small size of the property, front desk staff very helpful, large size of room, very nice coffee, strong drinks
breakfasts bread basket is a joke (we do not eat eggs etc)
We loved the spacious room and beautiful bathroom. We only stayed for one night, but we're able to take advantage of a long walk on a seemingly endless, sandy beach. At breakfast we ordered a basket of house made pan dulce (an assortment of local sweet breads).
The jacuzzi was not filled and ready to use, unfortunately, and we had been looking forward to that aft our long journey from North Dakota.

The beach and the size of the bedroom. The people are so friendly and helpful. Nice place to rest and have fun.
We really enjoyed everything ! Hospitality of staff, freshness of food, good selection of meals during breakfast/lunch/dinner, very good pool and beach area. Very nice garden. This is a small hotel (29 rooms), so you really feel private. Good value for money. Our highest marks !!!
We really liked that the hotel was a small boutique hotel and the personalized service. We knew the names of the front staff as they did us. The best part of our stay was the staff and the size of the hotel. The size of the rooms are huge, lots of space. Very large balconies, nice to sit on NY eve with a bottle of champagne (we brought it in despite their rule of bringing nothing into the room) and watching the waves and fireworks in the distance. They waved the fee for wifi during the Christmas - NY period which was very nice. The front staff were really very nice and extremely helpful on helping organize our day trips.
One of the main reasons we picked this hotel was the fact it advertised a kitchen, we had a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen. When had planned on having breakfast and lunch together and then to go out for dinner. When we checked in we were told we could bring no food to the suite. We had a very large kitchen with nothing in it. No kettle, no glasses or dishes nothing. We were told several times to bring no food to the room. This was a huge disappointment. They had a nice breakfast and lunch restaurant on site but this is not what we intended and thought the ad of a large suite with kitchen was thus very misleading. If we had known this we would have stayed elsewhere because it was very important to us to have breakfast and lunch together in our suite. Also, the hotel needs a facelift, while very spacious it could do with a little updating. Finally for the price we paid there were no little extras. No slippers, no turn down service etc. We just felt that for the price the little extras should have been included. Could not believe they did not even have a kettle to make a cup of tea. By the time we left we noticed others were bringing food into the rooms.
The room was especially spacious with a hot tub in the patio. The view of the pool extending to the ocean was magnificent.
Wifi costs USD$20/day instead of complimentary as advertised on the website. The pictures on the wall was a bit weird with red skies as background color and black and white photos of people's head glued on them.
The staff were lovely and personalable. The food was amazing, well presented and cheap! The art and decor were beautiful. Close enough to the action and far enough to be peaceful and relaxing.
Nothing I didn't like
The Staff, the food, the location, quite and easy to get to the party spots if you want them and a very nice place to come back to relax afterwards. The place is incredible! the art and décor is the best!
Only that I had to leave.
The Human size of the establishment, the swimming pool, direct access to the beach, friendly staff, decoration with many works of art everywhere in the establishment
Wi-fi - $20 for a day.
Casa Turquesa was a jewel. I was looking for a quiet , fairly private hotel with luxury and that is not so easy to find in Cancun. The staff was wonderful. The view from my room amazing. The artwork was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable. There were no children which was a major plus. If you are looking for some beauty , luxury, comfort, quiet and to simply relax and take in the majesty of the ocean; this is the place. I didn't want to leave the hotel. This is no party place though we did enjoy meeting a few other mature guests poolside. I enjoyed a dip in the surf, swam in the pool and up to the bar, ate fine food in the restaurant, and spent most of my stay reading on my balcony over looking the most awesome panorama. It was the vacation of my dream. - Celia from Austin
Very calm notel
Wifi was very instable. The hotel is almost too calm. A renovation would be nice...
Paying extra for WiFi
This hotel was a beautiful place to stay. The collection of art on display in the halls and rooms makes this a truly unique and wonderful place to be. The food in both restaurants was amazing as well.
We certainly enjoyed to be welcomed by interesting art d'objects on arrival. Sea view upon entry was spectacular. Room furniture in definite need of update... Welcomed in lobby and hallways but rooms Need a 21st update.. Mind you loved the mosaic bathtub. Food was excellent!!
Room furniture... Toted as Boutique so rooms Need that refection. A/c in rooms require an update.
Wasn't after the usual all-inclusive routine, it was me and my partners 1st holiday so wanted something intimate!! The hot tub on the terrace was to die for
Wifi was poor in room!!
The open air bar at night was my favorite and there was also an air conditioned more formal dining room. They don't just toss you a drink they craft it and it's worth the wait. Loved having breakfast overlooking the beach and sunrise. The staff was personable and professional. There isn't a bad room-they're all oceanfront with outdoor jacuzzis. It's barely a walk from the pool to the beach and the chairs. Being a single woman I appreciated the security.
There isn't anything I didn't like about this place.
