This 5-star Cancun luxury hotel is on a secluded beach and features a 40,000-square-foot full-service spa. The El Meco Mayan Ruins is 7 miles from the hotel.
Score from 358 reviews Wonderful
Surrounded by the Caribbean Sea and situated right on the beach, this elegant hotel offers luxurious accommodations and amenities including a spa and outdoor pool.
Score from 165 reviews Excellent
Uniqueness, attentive staff, boutique style only having 25 rooms. Excellent decor with unique artwork. Quiet . Pool bar excellent. Perfect for my family reunion.
Room was next to the kitchen and lift little noisy. Pool water too warm. Breakfast a little too formal, a casual buffet option would be nice
The size of the room, bathroom and pool facilities. Breakfast was enormous and delicious. Also ordered in room service which was very tasty.
Great location along the Kukulcan beach. It sits amongst the modern architectural ugliness of that boulevard, offering an environment that is more stylish and interesting.
Lack of opportunity to eat informally by the pool. Not able to purchase large bottles of water in the hotel other than at the local Oxxo shop, which you could bring into the hotel!
Location Hotel design Art everywhere Nice pool Right there on the beach Friendly staff Excellent breakfast Very large rooms
Wifi is not free Drinks are expensive The matress was too soft, we asked for a new one
Very nice place!!! All excellent!
They charged me double for the stay. I also checked out late. They charged me for the full day.
Very caring staff A place full of charm and care
Came back at night and wanted to show my room to my friends who stayed at one of the big hotels but I was not allowed by the night staff
The location was perfect, right on the beach, with a stunning pool looking out over the beach. The staff, particularly the receptionist Missey, were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are enormous, very comfortable. I had a garden suite, which was perfect as I could just walk out through the patio doors of my room over the garden to the pool area. The food, especially breakfast, was excellent. The art adds a really unique touch. So quiet and peaceful, a world away from the giant all-inclusive hotels. Internet was extra but was fast and didn't require daily sign-in.
Nothing. Wish I could have stayed longer.
room service is bad
The privacy and breakfasts
No staff at the beach
very kindly stuff
Amazing view from the room and hotel lobby of the ocean and swimming pool. Decor throughout the hotel was artistic and unique. Rooms were v comfortable. Extremely relaxing and enjoyable stay at Casa Turqesa. Would highly recommend.
Air conditioning in the room was quite loud and no mini bar
Most of the time, we had the entire pool and view to ourselves. Very friendly staff. Beautiful location. Great if you want to get away and not be surrounded by noisy families or drunk college students. With only 27 rooms, they gave us very personal service. Great receptionists/concierges.
I wish the pool was open a bit longer (it closes at 8pm.) Also could use more umbrellas out by the pool. Food was fine, but nothing special. Sometimes our water in the shower was cold. They could use an ATM in the lobby. All marble floors with the AC cranked up high made for very cold rooms... although that was often refreshing when coming in out of the hot sun.
Missey and Erneto are incredible people! They were very friendly and helpful, and they seemed to be there every hour of the day and night. The pool was really nice and clean. The food was delicious. They bathtub was like laying in an aquarium, it was huge. And, there are just enough rooms so that you're not overwhelmed with too many people, and can still enjoy some peace and relaxation, with the beach an inch away.
This hotel offered a beautiful pool with amazing ocean views. The lobby is gorgeous and very pleasant on arrival. The overall feeling of the hotel is of a different era which is completely up our alley. The beach front was nice, nothing overly special in comparison to any other beach fronts - it had fewer beach huts than the other mega hotels on the strip which gave it a more private relaxing feel. We enjoyed our garden view room which gave us easy access to the pool through the sliding door. The washroom was equipped with a shower and bathtub that are nicely constructed and quite luxurious. Staff were all very friendly. A very delightful hotel to relax in.
Although we enjoyed using out sliding back door to access the poolside and beach we did need to take a risk and leave our room unlocked via the sliding back door. We didn't have any issues doing this, but it would have been nice to lock the door behind us for peace of mind. Expensive drinks and not permitted to bring outside items into the hotel.
Enourmous room ans bed, small hotel at the beach.
Loved that it wasn't too busy around the pool ! Always had really great chairs. The view from the pool is amazing ! The service at the swim up Bar is the best service I have had anywhere. Walking into the lobby almost took my breath away. The view of the ocean was incredible ! Highly recommend this place if you are looking to get pampered in a beautiful, romantic , quiet location. Pay extra for the breakfast plan. It's the only time I have ever taken a picture of a meal ! First class! I will definitely be back :)
If you are going for a walk at night, the walk up the hill to the lobby is pretty steep. I have really bad knees but made it alright.
free wifi and local food
Position, the size of the room, the spa, the concierge.
Breakfast was truly awful.
The hotel is a boutique art hotel overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The hotel zone, where it is located is convenient to all tourist areas. It is a small, distinctive hotel, one of the earliest on the Mayan Riviera and is not like the big hotel chains that are the mainstay of Cancun.
There was nothing not to like about the Hotel Turquesa. I'd stay there again.
- staff very friendly and helpful - very nice beach, not crowded - refreshingly different from all the big hotels in the zone hotelera - smaller, more personal, very attentive staff - we arrived hours before official check in, but got a room right away facing the pool/terrace and could go to the beach immediately
- no free WIFI
The beach, the pool, the feeling that you are at a mansion instead of a hotel. Quiet and relaxing. Great option if you are not into large resorts.
The room and hotel decor was not our cup of tea.
The hotel and staff were fantastic. A great location with a private beach that was not crowded. The pool was lovely, and the service at the pool bar was really good. The hotel room was impressive with 2 sinks, bath, great shower and huge bed. Everyone was so helpful - the check-in was easy, the restaurant staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. We would both heartily recommend the hotel.
We talked about what we thought may have enhanced the holiday.... we came up with the fact that it would have been nice to have a bedside lamp to read at night! That was it..... we really couldn't find any other areas of improvement required.
The hotel is very elegant, it is decorated with many original paintings and sculptures. It is very quiet here, you can hear the rustle of waves. In the evening it is so nice to lie in jacuzzi on the balcony and hear the sea... Very romantic! The hotel is next door to the Kukulkan Plaza mall and 10 minutes by foot from Isla with its boutiques, restaurants, tourist agencies, dolphins etc.
There is no free Internet. The pool is small and very shallow; and since the waves on the beach are very big, it is impossible to swim in the sea or even enter and you have to go somewhere else. Another thing -- american breakfast -- I would prefer buffet. Then I wouldn't recommend to buy tours in the hotel -- it is much more expensive than in tourist agencies in Isla.
art intimate setting breakfast
Hotel was overbooked--which they told us about after we had paid--we were consequently given a partial view suite when we had booked an ocean view suite--I had confirmed our reservation two weeks prior. I did not appreciate the way the entire transaction was handled--very unprofessional.
