Two out of three receptionists were not friendly nor helpful. One of them was especially snob, and when we asked for information about cenotes she did not want to recommend any, and failed to mention that cenotes close at around 5pm (it was 4.30). So we took a car and drove for 20 minutes only to find out that it was not possible to visit the cenote anymore. Another thing to mention is that THERE IS NO SOFT WATER in the hotel. You can only drink the bottled water that they leave in your room (and they forgot to leave it for 2 out of 4 nights). This also means that when you shower, you shower with salt water. I can understand that, as you are right on the beach, but it is worth mentioning because some might not like it.
Our cabana was gorgeous, the place is enchanted, the shared toilet clean and beautifully decorated. One of the reception girls was very helpful: she changed our cabana after the first night as we said we liked another one better, and she recommended a stroll down the beach after 9pm to meet some turtles (which we did).
